  1. So a decent crowd with standing ovations for riders from both teams all got it wrong then?!
  2. What absolute BS. Is this the 'manipulative management' that tracked two EL 2nd strings in place of 2 heat leaders yet still achieved a decent win with some cracking racing. All tracks are generally slick - or at least a lot slicker than in years gone by. Nothing to do with being 'manipulative' - its what the machinery is more suited to. Yes there are lots that have to be improved in British Speedway, but continually reducing the level to the lowest common denominator will see the sport disappear up its own backside. The quicker the other promotions get on board the better. Sorry FB what I meant was as we can only replace one 'injured' rider then it depends who declares them selves fit and proves it in time - the other having to stay 'injured' for the rest of the season!! Buzz could have the opportunity to prove himself next week?!
  3. I've had him on ignore for ages but others keep 'quoting' his posts. I'd stopped commenting on any of his posts but just reading through some of last night's and this mornings, the steam coming out of my ears would very nearly have earned me an expected ban!! I decided not to give the t**t the satisfaction. (replace the asterisks with any choice of letters to suit!!)
  4. Rohan will doubtless be testing things when he guests on Monday, in readiness for his more important meeting 2 days later. So I don't expect a huge score from him - but all Pirates now have some experience of the NSS track so should make for an interesting meeting. (ps. Tungate only on 'standby' for Poole's meeting the following night at the AF Arena)
  5. Neither really - just to shut up - on every Poole thread!!!!
  6. Just watched the meeting again on Catch up after seeing it live last night and being part of a decent crowd giving MPT and Eddie a standing ovation. Also been catching up with some of the usual post meeting comments on here. Just for Gavan, in the immortal words of Del Boy Trotter - " Shut up you t**t!!" (Just had to get that off my chest ). Gavan clearly glued to your screen last night, I hope you didn't run out of boxes of tissues. In other related issues, 7 points for each of our EDR's will do me. Carry on like that boys, no problem. Not sure if it will be Adam or Brady that drops to reserve next when BP goes up to the 1-5 again - more likely Brady!! . As for a replacement during the '7-day window' I guess there will only be one as otherwise Poole will have to re-declare which they will find virtually impossible with their current team average. With Hans' operation being deferred to this coming weekend I imagine it is his place under threat. Lots of names being bandied about up to a 7.15 average, and as mentioned last night Matt and Middlo have probably already got it sorted to be announced anytime after the 14th!! Buzz should be back next week unless Hans declares himself fully fit after the op, in which case a replacement for Buzz up to 6.50 will be the option..
  7. Michael Palm Toft guests for Porsing tonite. Signing a number 8 was primarily to cover for missing Double-Uppers. Poole didn't have any and still don't as Ellis is an EDR! Signing a Number 9 was permissible to cover for a missing EDR - but we've coped without.
  8. Can only use a guest for the remaining League meetings. They can sign a 'permanent' replacement for the play-offs if they make it - or use a guest from the bottom 4 clubs?!
  9. Holder back for Poole after successful intensive physio.
  10. The 'annoying Ippo fan' blocked by the 'Portuguese Man O' War'! lol
  11. Tungate and Kennett for the Pirates with Holder making a late decision on his wrist, otherwise r/r.
  12. Whats on Tuesday 13th September? Will any meetings affect any Kings Lynn or Poole EL riders?
  13. Now confirmed (apparantly) for next Tuesday 13th September!!!! Not sure what that might mean for team line-ups?
  14. Guest Team Manager for the Stars too (Mind you if I were either Lyon or Allitt I'd probably stay away as well!) I guess Garry May would have been there any way!!
  15. Who is this Golomski character?? ;-) Belle Vue's is a rearranged fixture so Sweden takes precedence.
  16. r/r for NKI I think. No Buzz - out for 10 days from last Saturday - or Hans (not heard how his treatment in Poland went yesterday?). I doubt Chris Holder will risk it either with the GP on Saturday, despite his 'intense physiotherapy', but he may want to test the wrist....?!
  17. Vaculik rode at Poole in an individual meeting a few years ago and stayed at MF's place whilst he was in the UK.
  18. 7.50 this season. 8.00 next (not that the latter will happen.) Or so I'm led to believe!!
  19. So 'Pool have form for this sort of thing happens a lot'?! How long ago were Eastbourne in the Elite League?? Tungate and Holder 'small track specialist "horses for courses"??!! lol
  20. Whats your insight into why Sky are showing Belle Vue v Poole next Monday then?!
