  1. Ah I see. The averages on the Swindon website were only up to wednesday 13th April. The home defeat on 14th hadn't been included when I looked.
  2. Kerr hasn't moved up yet - I thought his average keeps him at reserve for the time being!! Have Wright and Auty completed 2 Home and 2 Away meetings for their 'new' averages to allow them to be promoted yet!!! You've started something now!!! I would double check that those EDRs have completed their qualifying 2 Home/ 2 Away meetings!! They cannot be promoted into the main team until they have. The latest green sheets on BSPA site are showing the latest EDR averages based only on meetings completed so far
  3. Has Wright done his 2 home and 2 away qualifying meetings as EDR yet?? If not, he should stay at reserve for the time being at least.
  4. I thought the rules say only r/r for a non-doubling-up 2nd string = but I may be wrong what with my recent understanding of the rules!!!!!? Much more of a concern - and no doubt lengthy debate - will be the line-ups for the return fixture on Friday!! (But I'll wait for the thread before getting into it!!)
  5. I think by 'WC' they meant the replacement for the infamous back straight bogs A ORLOV!!!
  6. Why would it be off? Weather forecast is very reasonable.
  7. A senior moment from me today (I blame the booze) I was going back to the T/S days!!! Silly me.
  8. So assuming the BV v Poole meeting goes ahead on 27th April on Sky, what changes to the track and preparation will Ronnie Russell (Sky's Track Co-ordinator) be insisting on, as happens with all Sky meetings??!
  9. I do hope the rash has well and truly cleared up now?!
  10. On the subject of fans picking and choosing their meetings, one has to remember that "in Poole there is nothing else to spend money on" so crowds will never drop when the product continues to be good and successful and will only ever increase even more in the holidays!! :-) To misquote the 'Field of Dreams' film line - "If you build it , they will come"!! As far as this meeting is concerned, KK will want to do well, Its one of Bomber's favourite tracks and the Bees will only need 3 r/r rides as the other will be a T/R. Add to that a change in Poole's riding order (Hans/Buzz) making for some different pairings!! 52-40 rather than the 56-34 ES thrashing!!
  11. And another one actually in Poole that has just won the Southern League!!
  12. BT Sport have also announced another female sports reporter as well - can't recall her name at the moment?!
  13. Poole's Supporters club is the Rider Equipment Fund (REF). Its a paid-for club which uses the money from memberships and supporter events (quiz nights, raffles, forum discussions and the occasional river trip/barbeque) to give cash to each of the riders - usually £500 or so which is presented publicly during the rider parade at home meetings. Hopefully this will continue strongly but as with many things - one of the challenges will be to get some 'younger blood' on the committee in time, as some of the existing team cannot go on forever!!
  14. If Sky carry on with Wednesday meetings, then I certainly need to record those meetings and watch later as most Wednesdays I'm at Wimborne Road!! :-) Watching a meeting that you've recorded is better than on 'Catch-up' or On Demand 'cos its quicker to fast-forward the bits you don't want/need to watch in detail....!
  15. The only change in riding order for Wednesday is Hans and Buzz swapping!! It won't be Watt at reserve even after the 2nd away meeting is over ( thats the meeting at Coventry on Friday). Rolling averages will keep Watt in the 1-5 for the time being, but it could be Ellis (currently higher MA than Newman) replacing Kurtz by the 29th April!!
  16. I would think that Poole would be well within their rights to request a further postponement of what would be their first Sky meeting of the season??!! I know its not something that the away team can insist on, but exceptional circumstances and all that!!!! ?
  17. The context of the quote and indeed the whole article is clearly about 2016 - it does actually say that - and the rider selections that other promoters have made for their teams. Their selections were their choice as much as Poole's selections were Matt's choice. The rules on team building were approved and agreed - whether unanimously or not - and all had the same opportunities to sign the likes of Andersen, Buzz and/or anyone else for that matter. Just like after May 1st everyone will have the same opportunity to re-visit the original heat leader list again, if the points limit allows.
  18. Buzz wasn't on the HL list - you know the list that all EL promoters agreed to!!!! even though he does drop to 2nd string from Monday 18th!!
  19. To be fair in the Sky meeting on Wednesday it was clear that Swindon's riders were also talking to Russell - and it didn't do them much good then either!!
  20. I'd love to know what the BSPA/Go-Speed contract with Sky actually states?! Its not as if Sky even attempt to cover every EL meeting - let alone screen each one LIVE!!! It can't have total exclusivity otherwise other TV outlets wouldn't be able to feature any speedway on their local news/sports programmes, which means that each promotion must be allowed to 'give permission'!!
  21. What rules has Matt broken this year?? None. Even Mick Horton said that!!
  22. Saw a very graphic picture of Kacper's injury on facebook. It looks horrible and will require at least 2 operations - the first to clear out the 'crap' eg dead skin, dirt and infection. The second op to fix the wound. Hope he recovers fully and quickly.
