  1. I think most of those EDRs listed would cope as 2nd strings in their respective 1-5s - just not Heat Leaders!!
  2. Surely Ref Jim Lawrence will have reminded (warned) all riders before the meeting that if they were adjudged to have been the cause of a heat being called back twice - then they would be d/q'd?! Usually its quite clear for the fans when the Start Marshall has a word with the rider after the first stoppage. While on the subject of warnings, I thought riders were not allowed back to the pit gate for any 'tweaking', after a false start?
  3. So after a later than usual night at Wimborne Road (enjoying the sponsor's hospitality) and a bit of a lie-in this morning, I thought I'd check on the thread and see if I would be surprised at (m)any of the posts?! The quick answer to that - is NO. Well done to Belle Vue - I personally congratulated Mark Lemon and Scotty at the end (I sponsored both when they rode for Poole) - much the better side on the night. It'll be interesting to see how S.Worrall (Sponsor's Rider of the Night!!) fares when he's in the 1-5 in June - yes I know he beat some decent riders last night too!! As for the track, it does need to be re-bladed to get rid of 'the waves' - whether it will be tackled in June remains to be seen!!?. Other than that and the overwatering (which was understandable after a day of sunshine and no rain!!!) I don't think there was too much wrong with the track prep. The 4th bend falls by Hans and Bjarne were caused as much by them taking the wide line into the wet heavy stuff, when they are both traditionally white line riders. The new pairings didn't help the Poole team either, but hey ho the world hasn't ended just because Poole have been beaten at home for once - fairly and squarely too. Just a final word about Kyle Newman.......His first proper meeting back after his injury and clearly he has lost a bit of race fitness as well as being a little tentative. He'll be ok, as will the Pirates when they bounce back. In the meantime, the knack for Matt and Middlo will be to keep the team in 4th spot whilst seeing what changes the averages will allow come August. If they can do that, then that's 'Magic'!!! :-) :-) ps. I predicted 43-47 so wasn't far wrong!! And my fantasy team did very well too - thank you both teams!!
  4. The only difference with the track is likely to be with what Sky Track Co-ordinator Ronnie Russell does to it!!! Lets hope Gerald Richter can do his usual great job. God forbid its anything like Blunsdon's last Thursday!!
  5. No breaks for Doyley - just an 'ankle the size of a brick and badly bruised lower back'!! - Very lucky!
  6. The line-ups of both teams on the Poole website are in alphabetical order. Holder and Pedersen are the 2 Poole 2nd strings (2&4) and I assume Andersen, Newman and Kylmakorpi at 1,3 & 5 respectively.
  7. Shouldn't get too bogged down with the current Issue 12 averages. They will be revised again with this week's forthcoming meetings to become effective from 30th May!!
  8. Blimey, offering support for a Poole rider on a Poole thread and suddenly I'm anti-British??!!!! Only to be expected on the BSF I guess??! Incidentally congratulations to Max Fricke who also qualified! I shall enjoy watching him race at Poole on Monday too!! ;-)
  9. Poole's 2 and 4 (Bjarne and Noddy) will need to get their fingers out to win this one for the Pirates!!!
  10. Couldn't find a thread????? There are already 2 others up and running for this meeting............!!
  11. Lets hope Brady does the same at BV this evening!! ps. Finally the first selection of 2016 Poole merchandise is now available from their online shop!!!! :-)
  12. Car park full by 3pm??!! I might be up for this one - just waiting on the new averages for 30th to see if Chris Holder is at reserve?!
  13. Well done to Sedgy - he's in my Fantasy team too!! :-)
  14. They have according to the latest issue (11) of the BSPA averages - Steve W 4.85; Richie W 4.10
  15. Rearranged for next Thursday May 26th apparantly - Swindon's scheduled meeting v Poole having been previously moved to Monday 30th !!
  16. I wonder what the new co-owners paid for their 50% of Swindon Speedway?? A canny move by TR if it turns out any new stadium will eventually have no facility for speedway!!! It'll be 50% of Sweet FA!!
  17. Can't have 2 Danes at reserve. Has to be at least one EDR!!
  18. Kyle Newman is intending to ride on Wednesday against Leicester - weather permitting!!
  19. Not sure why people are confused? Hans, Kyle and Buzz will be heat leaders (1,3,&5); Chris Holder and Bjarne as 2nd strings (although it'll be r/r for BP in Denmark); with Adam and Brady at reserve. Issue 11 of the BSPA averages - effective 16.05.16 - is perfectly clear!!
  20. So its Hans, Buzz and Kyle Newman as 1,3 & 5 with Holder and Bjarne (r/r) as 2nd strings. Ellis and Kurtz at reserve?? (According to issue 11 of the BSPA averages)!
  21. Well I'll have to follow this on updates from the land of BWitcher next week. If the Pirates are in the right mindset, then a narrow away win is a distinct possibility.
  22. Maybe Matt could borrow some from Buster as he always manages to get a decent meeting on........Oh hang on a minute.
