He certainly 'polarised' Darcy Ward!!!!

Best of the recent Pairs meetings by far!!!! The only thing I want to know and say about the commentary is who is Shamek Pawlicki's older brother masquerading as for Wolves???

I look forward to Team Engerland riding against Team One Sport Poland and the like at some point in the future!!

Team GB have a team in the World U21 Cup semi-finals against Germany, Czechs and Aussies, using Howarth, Ellis, Lambert and Garrity. Lets see how they get on on June 7th to see if any are ready to step up with Woffy, Cook, King and the like?

Darcy has ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. He is withdrawing from all club racing and having 'intensive' physio-type treatment with the aim of attempting to ride in the Finland and Prague GPs - if he cannot race to an acceptable level then its likely he will have the op sooner rather than later, as Middlo is recommending!! But its Darcy's sole decision!

Knee ligaments! He tweaked it originally in the Troy Bayliss meeting in Oz in the Winter and then did it worse in the NZ GP crashes when he even snapped the knee brace he was wearing in that big off with Smolinski!!

Simple was about right!!!

Middlo reporting that Darcy is re-considering postponing his knee op til the end of the season, depending on more specialist advice. Also reporting DW will not be returning for Poole for at least a further 4-5 weeks!!!

At least Nigel and Kelvin know which riders are taking part - or are even in the stadium!!! I wonder how much the 'top riders' are getting paid in Sweden, cos there's no way with crowds that low that it can be sustainable!!

...and there I was beginning to believe that all speedway apart from the British EL was brilliant. By the way can somebody tell Matt Ford how to get Loktaev in in place of Dennis Andersson if the opportunity arises in the future. If the commentators can do it then surely promoters can too!!

Darcy's 22nd Birthday today. With the continued physio he has been having in both UK and Poland, he will want to test his knee competitively at some point (and earn some decent money!). He can't return to UK racing until May 14th earliest, so may well see him today but as for other meetings it depends on whether he tweaks the knee again I guess?!

Well done to Poole's Vaclav Milik for winning the Terenzano round with 14 points after a run-off with Nicolai Jacobsen!! Full results/links are in the 'International Speedway' section! PS. Thank goodness the next round is on July 19th when Poole take their second visit to Eastbourne. A decent guest methinks!!
