Just re-read the FIM statement, which is only concerned with the offence and the punishment, rather than any 'reasoning' behind it!! That is still to come in a later FIM statement. There must be some factual reasoning as to why the ban was 10 months, rather than the max of 2 years?! Await with interest.......................

If people (Bees fans?) are trying to say that Bridger is the only rider who has negotiated a loan or advance on his earnings as part of the contract, then they are being really naïve. Not condoning his foulmouthed outbursts on twitter, but I think there is likely more to this than meets the eye!!

Interesting! I thought the traditional starting protocol was to bring up the inside and outside riders first (gates 1 & 4) and then the 2 middle riders ( gates 2 & 3) ?? Not that that has been happening much either!

Its often very difficult to make any sense of what you wrote!! Just for a bit of balance -again - not ALL Poole fans are fed up with Starman, just 3 or 4 rather vocal forum members who don't seem to like their posts being disagreed with!! The Poole forum moderator has warned everyone to stop making their posts too personal - its a shame he's not one of the moderators on here occasionally!!

That's right. Its only some/most SGP, Torun, Piraterna, Poole and Aussie fans that like him!!

No one rider won the league for Poole. Newman and Janowski both had good seasons, the latter especially when he stepped up as captain, but every rider except our 2nd reserve(s) had some superb victories as part of the usual team effort. Its a good team ethic that is created and continued at Poole - and probably at Torun and Piraterna too? - which sees Poole assets regularly in the home pits giving encouragement and helping out mechanically. Riders like Holder who only rode for a month, Ward even when suspended, plus the likes of Watt, Pedersen etc whenever they weren't racing elsewhere. Anyway this thread is about Darcy Ward in the SGP section, not Poole!!

People can quote all the 'rules' they like, but at the end of the day it will be 'at the BSPA MC's discretion'!!!

The riders ARE available - just not got visas through yet - so what's wrong with announcing them in the 1-7? Every club has a deadline to announce their teams before the BSPA officially 'declare' them (or not?). If its just a time issue, I'm sure the BSPA will be very supportive of any/all teams in any league affected by the visa issues!! After all nobody yet knows what new criteria might have been agreed with the UKVI re 'migrant riders'?

Good to see your old sparring partner Steve Shovlar one of only 12 comments on the Echo article - or maybe its not really him either as he seems to be agreeing with the 45 day opinion!!? ps. for those that are on twitter, they will have seen Darcy's tweet this morning that both he and his lawyer were/are aware of the 45 day rule but were informed differently at the hearing after advising of the UK visa issues!! I'm not on twitter either but the tweet is on the www.piratecastlive.com home page twitter feed. (nb the website is the unofficial fan site but has loads of followers).

Yes but Plymouth are still awaiting their new 'Migrant Sponsor Licence' as the previous one granted on 30th Jan had to be surrendered along with every other club! Hopefully today's UKVI compliance visit will be as successful as Poole's last Friday, so that both Holders can travel over together?!
