Sorry to hear this. This league is about bringing on youngsters, not knocking the stuffing out of them. Go on and show them at the under 16,s meetings Luke.
-
This is my sentiment, you can only beat who is up against you. A win is a win whatever. You have to be in it to win it in any case!
-
Third in the pairs, well done to Simon and Ben. Ever onwards and upwards!
-
I do CityRebel, but what a way to run a business!
-
Not being cynical, is it a bit early/late to cancel next Monday. The Devon boys have a real distance to travel and I saw a cloud in an otherwise sunny and blue sky.
-
Sad thought.

Ben Morley makes Speedway History by becoming the first fast track draft rider to complete a paid maximum at Elite level speedway. Well done Ben. Next objective - a full 4 ride maximum!

Interesting meeting Monday, PA system very poor, never heard that the KL number one had been changed until I saw the results on twitter. The track has surely not had a wheel turned on it since the final meeting last season, same old chalk line arising after a couple of heats. Does management do nothing until such time as someone gets seriously injured? With two six footers riding in the team they appeared to have difficulty turning in turns 1&2, Luke suffered more so than Simon and it showed in his score. A great stadium but the racing is spoilt by the state of the track and people moan about Stoke!
-
A definite lack of shale on the track. Give it a couple of races and the chalk sub-surface surfaces. Riders surely prefer to see the track where it has done so therefore it is a difficult call. Until Len gets some shale there and works it in we will always have a potentially dangerous surface. One thing that the riders definitely do not want to see is water put on the chalk line. Loose shale over it is like putting a layer of marbles on track, shades of the concrete outside at Wimbledon created during the sixties for the stocks.

Think the numbers of riders was about giving some lads the opportunity to show their ability and to go for the final team spot. At the fans forum Len made his statement re:inclusion of shared team spot. Believe Luke has issues about making Mondays earlier start. No doubt the final decision will be made at the later date.
-
So no names until after the press evening(tonight). Seems young Luke may struggle to make Mondays, though he seems to have more potential than Blake. Any other thoughts!
-
I fail to understand why Adam Kirby was not persevered with. To some degree Daniel Blake is an unknown currently. Again Luke Harris must have been on the radar given he has been used a couple of times. Are these early meetings being used to see who best suits the bottom end of the Kings team?
-
Weather not looking good for today, mizle down here at the moment. Good luck to the lads if it does go ahead.
-
Good to see that both Adam and Sam are getting a ride for Scunthorpe. They both put in the effort when with the Kings.
-
Like all of the other teams, Cradley can find things can go wrong. Belive we gave them a fright at home last season and will do so again I am sure. We took the wind out of their sails so much so that they have renamed themselves this season.
-
What a start to the year, two away wins. Unlucky Brandon, seems these air fences do not take kindly to him. Well done lads for gaining the first away league points ever.
-
Ben & Benji riding for Birmingham at Eastbourne tonight. Scunthorpe Sunday will be Ben's 4th meeting in 5 days. Just warming up!
-
Good luck to Ben Morley in the U21's later

Is this just a friendly wind up comment? All teams have aspirations to begin with, time will tell if they realize them. -
Something tells me that one swallow does not make a summer, therefore after the euphoria of the clubs' first away win it is time to take stock. No matter the opposition, the meeting has to be won.13 points (Bakers Dozen), the difference looks good on paper but it was not until the last couple of heats that the meeting was won! The return fixture may be different.
-
So it is the first away win. What a fantastic start to the season. Lambert retains the Bronze Helmet. Must be a great boost to the team with a night like tonights. Hope Brandon will not be too sore after his off.

Will be interesting to see how Luke makes out in competitive racing. Good luck to both teams. -
Sorry Islander15, overlooked that fact. Was also going to mention Adam Kirby (ex Kings rider). On the balance of probability (of the Kings riders) Ben would stand the greater chance of progressing, but everyone starts equal so good luck to them all.
-
The meeting on 15th March will be a useful run-out for Ben prior to his Under 21 semi-final a week later. A good chance to weigh up the track, sort gearing etc. He must stand a good chance of progressing if there are no unforseen problems. Good luck Ben.

Good to see that Adam Kirby has a place in the U21 semi at Plymouth.
