Good to see a contingent of Plymouth fans on the second bend. I thought the meeting itself was far better than the scoreline. Summers was a decent guest and got Plymouths only heat winner in heat 14 with a third to first ride. Good stuff. Complin was also very good value with his around the fence rides, which worked at times and didn’t in others. What was it with Hans in heat 13 that he fenced Flint down the back straight on lap three for third when the Poole riders were well gone? Flint certainly displayed his displeasure at Andersens actions. The result was as expected looking at the strengths of the two teams. Our top three were untouchable. Special mention to Nathan Ablitt who was named rider of the night for his ride in heat 12. He was unlucky in heat two when he tried to go around the outside of Complin but was squeezed against the fence which sent him to the back.

I have a regular long walk at Ringstead and Purbeck coast and last week as I walked through the almost deserted nudist beach, an old man stood up naked, then made “helicopters” in my direction. Perhaps I will post the exact spot so Trackrat can check it out. Might be his thing as he seems to like make strippers.

There was nothing bad. No “evidence”. I picked up a SHPO completely unintentionally many years ago, which is due to expire next year. A SHPO covers a huge range of things and I fell foul of it while trying to make space on my old 16gb iPhone. I actually told my manager what I had done and thought nothing of it until I got a summons and small fine. I was involved in the very lucrative adult entertainment business and without knowing it we overstepped U.K. Law. I got out of it straight after and have never been tempted to return. Receiving the SHPO was a joke but they were all the rage for judges at the time. It has never affected me in any way other than embarrassment.

I don’t understand why the Dugards won’t allow NDL speedway at Arlington. As long as the rent is paid what’s the issue? Unless they just want the stadium to go for a period of non use so that planning permission for houses can be put in as no one wants to use the speedway stadium?

I changed my day around so I could make it. I was meant to be in a meeting in London today but have re-arranged that so that I am going to Exmouth this afternoon, just about to leave, then onto Plymouth, which I am now not. I have been to all Poole meetings this season at Plymouth. You can find me easily enough on the back straight.

Thing is, a meeting should not be called off until it is guaranteed to be off. There might be a risk of rain later today, but it might miss. Too often meetings have been called off early only for the rain to miss/fail to materialise, leaving a dry evening. Plymouth are not even attempting to give it a try.
