Adam Ellis? Reserve in the PL. Heat leader in the Championship. Nick Morris? what would Chris Holders average be? Would be a hugely popular signing though probably too high. Rew? Blodorn? Becker? Just pulling names.

	A good signing for them.

No way Matt would have Kerr and Starke back. And Bowes is not a name I would consider as very forward thinking. If we do go with Bailey, Rushen and Cairns we need experience above them to cover for when they are struggling. Otherwise we will have a long wagging tail. Would Scott Nicholls be a candidate for the second heat leader or is pushing 50 the new pushing 30? Scott is still a force to be reckoned with in the Championship. Very professional and his career form has only dropped a bit. Personally no. Rather have young up and coming or a rider still in their prime. Jeppersen? Though Wednesdays could be an issue.

Glasgow Tigers 2026Steve Shovlar replied to SilentLurker's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway So who is the team moving up to the Premiership? Can only think it’s Glasgow as the owner has virtually unlimited funds. With the points limit in the top flight at 36 points there will be riders available.

Thought we were lethargic from the start. Kerr was rubbish, Rowe struggled, Lawson has been brilliant but the last three meetings he has been off his best. Bye to Tobias, Kerr, Starke and by the look of it after heat 15, Zack Cook. As for heat 14, no way was Starke beating Scott. Now having seen Thomsens crash, he lifted, jerked the handle bars and lost the front wheel. Tried to recover but no way of saving it and off he came. Just needed to be smoother and the crash wouldn’t have happened. Hope he is not badly injured and makes a good recovery. End of the day Redcar got their reward for perseverance. Battled all night. So we end up with the big one, the league, plus the KO Cup. Considering how the team has ridden for the majority of the season, that is a remarkable achievement. We will start again in 2026 with a very different looking team. Bring it on!

Just got back. Well done to Redcar no complaints from the Poole fans. Such very very fine margins. If poor Tobias had made it over the line Pirates would have been celebrating the treble. Just one of those nights but I feel the team were complacent. Special mention for Jody Scott who put it all out there, an inch from the fence. Certainly a rider on an upward trajectory. Redcar got a very warm reception from all the Poole fans when they went over to their fans after heat 14. Poole fans really are the best out there.

Coops Tassle Boy Rushen 2026Steve Shovlar replied to Youhave2minutes's topic in Speedway News and Discussions Surprised tassels are allowed in speedway they could pull an arm into a wheel. And to answer your question, it’s Poole.

redcar racing bears v Poole FTG piratesSteve Shovlar replied to Coraldon's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway NOOOOOOO! Going to see Rick Wakeman in Bournemouth on Saturday night. King Arthur and Six Wives concert. Won’t miss that (and the fact I paid £55 for the privilege!) Latest forecast is NOT good. Rain, heavy, tomorrow evening.

Unbelievable you guys don’t put that absolute melt Gavan on block. The guys an absolute twonk and proves it time after time after time. He really does have a screw loose and proves it with every moronic post of his. I blocked him years ago and let him rant into the cyber void like the mentalist he shows us he is. I came on here and saw his post in a response. Just Block him. It’s quite simple to do.

redcar racing bears v Poole FTG piratesSteve Shovlar replied to Coraldon's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway Forecast has got worse for tomorrow. Saying rain from early tomorrow evening. Hopefully its wrong but if not an early decision as being selfish I am up north and driving a long way back for this.😅Friday would be perfect 😍

With only one meeting left for Poole this season, eyes are now turning to next season. If the league remains the same, then Pirates team is basically sorted. Lawson, Cook, Rowe, Bailey, Cairns, Rushen. Leaving one spot for a second string. Bailey, Rushen and Cairns will have very limited experience between them meaning we could be very vulnerable at times but a mixture of experience and youngsters could make for a very exciting team. Thoughts?

redcar racing bears v Poole FTG piratesSteve Shovlar replied to Coraldon's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway Just caught up with the stream. Another good performance from the boys lining us up nicely for the treble on Wednesday night. Let’s hope the wet weather predicted holds off. Though next Friday is predicted dry. Charles Wright the meeting winner for Redcar. His best performance against us this season? Some of the Poole boys looked tired. Not surprising after the night before.

And now people know why Poole took all the dirt off in the first leg. Why on earth would they have wanted Bomber doing what he did tonight at Wimborne Road? Perfect tactics by the Poole management and although it wasn’t pretty to watch, it produced the near perfect result. For those that have had a pile on about Poole’s track for the first leg, do you people honestly believe it is like that every week? Seriously? The tactics worked, we pulled out a twelve point lead and with fair luck we would have had the title sewn up before heat 15 tonight. Howarth dirty riding against Cook (be honest it wasn’t a clean move) Lawsons fall (he said he took a slight nudge a little earlier in the bend which unbalanced him but accepted the EX). And then Cairns chain coming off in heat 14 cost us the win in heat 15 when 3-3 would have been enough. Glasgow looked so strong in the middle part of the meeting but Pirates were gating well. Harris was on his best form and unstoppable. You just knew he would hunt down and pass both Poole boys in heat 15. So a superheat it was. We won the toss and took 2 and 4. Same riders. Fancied our chances. When we gated and saw Harris in third but Howarth at the back, I knew even Harris couldn’t save the day. Totally brilliant. Commiserations to Glasgow who put up a great fight. They were slight favourites going into the final and with any other team would have won it comfortably. But Pirates have that one ingredient money cannot buy. The knowledge of winning when it matters most. A great final which knocked that rubbish Premier League final into a cocked hat. Now onto tomorrow and the BSN Final first leg at Redcar.
