Left home and All roads were dry. Arrived at parking near stadium to a lightning display and within a couple of minutes it was torrential. Ten mins later the drains in the road couldn’t cope. Drove home with flooded roads. Still raining now and track would be underwater. No chance direct storm hit. So we go again next Tuesday with Plymouth first leg. Let’s hope this low pressure moves away and we get a little settled weather.

Thunder and lightning at stadium. Hammering down. Wont last long but damage is being done. Looks like Plymouth get the first leg after all.

What’s that got to do with this meeting? Atkins rides for neither club.

The rain band is about 25-30 mins wide. Depends how heavy it is and whether it will directly hit. decided to wait and see. Danish league on tv followed by Champions League if not on. Could get away with it and get it on.

So you want to buy a piece of land. You announce to the world that you want to buy this piece of land. Property developers are suddenly alerted. They bid higher. Council accept offer. Avoiding complaints from nimbys. When the Edinburgh promotion originally announced they were after this land, I recall making a post highlighting this very issue. The naivety from some posters on here is ridiculous. I feel very sorry for the fans of Edinburgh Speedway and do hope the promotion, with the help of the local council, find an affordable piece of land suitable for a new stadium and the sport can continue in the area. It is disappointing that Edinburgh are going to be homeless after this season.

The guy is an idiot. Seems they breed in the Plymouth area. Blaming Poole for Plymouths weak team. Expecting Poole to call it off. You couldn’t make it up. But they could yet get lucky.

Plymouth might get away with it yet. Rain is pushing up from the Channel Islands and could have our name on it. If it hits it could cause issues.

That’s the problem though. We can all blame Plymouth for this situation but if riders don’t want to ride for them, there’s little that can be done. As I said earlier, the show goes on.

It was absolutely ridiculous to announce anything until the land had actually been purchased. To say they were after a bit of prime land, and a stadium would be built by the start of next season was pie in the sky and all that it did was raise supporters hopes and alert potential property developers. Now it has dashed them. It would have been dar better to have stayed quiet, get on with buying the land without fans knowledge, submit plans with the local council, gain planning permissions and if it took a further year, then so what. Instead today there are a lot of very disappointed Edinburgh fans. I feel for them.

It would never, ever have happened to Poole. For starters Kennett would have been replaced the week following his injury. The likes of Barker would never had been signed by Poole so that puts that to bed. And Poole would have got temp replacements for injured riders and used guests that Plymouth don’t want to pay for. Latest forecast is a dry day and evening. Should be a good crowd and hopefully a decent Pirates lead to take to Plymouth next Tuesday. Bring it on!

Jubilee Final? Really looking forward to it now it’s a three legged final.

Who is spud? Wells is useless at Poole bar the very occasional ride. No improvement on who they already have in the team with the exception of Ben Trigger. Don’t think he has ever ridden Poole. Good luck to the lad and heard good reports about him. One for the future. Flint would have strengthened Plymouth but no idea why he hasn’t taken the booking. Possibly the same reason as Batchelor? £££. Putting all things aside, Plymouth have had some rotten luck with injuries and it would have been a tight couple of meetings had they been at full strength. But the show goes on. Poole can’t postpone a meeting because of opposition injury issues. There is the possibility of playoff semi finals, play-off final, KO Cup, Jubilee Final all to fit in.

Why would Poole want to ride on an off race night to appease the opposition? It’s a competition and up to the opposition to put out a competitive team. I am sure they tried to and Gary May is a top bloke and would have done his best to attract riders. Its worth saying that Plymouth could have avoided Poole had they got their track sorted and beaten Glasgow. Burning straw is not the recommended way to dry out a track. Perhaps investing, like Poole did, in a trackman, might have averted tonights clash.

Can we? I don’t think so. Poole’s track is smooth and the riders are loving it. Great praise last month from all riders at the Championship meeting and Middlos testimonial. Can’t think of a single rider who has been injured this season at Poole due to the track. On to tonight and it’s all systems go! No rain currently forecast, with the risk of showers around 9pm so the meeting will be pushed through. The early morning watering it received should make the track perfect. Looking forward to a good evenings entertainment. Come on you Pirates!

You think Plymouths inability to put together a competitive team is Danny Fords fault? You can’t make this sh*t up! Plymouth fans running around blaming Poole for Plymouths injury and drug crisis!

Nobodies fault. The show goes on. Hopefully. Birmingham got on with it last month and put on a decent display. Plymouth will battle,I am sure and it should good evenings entertainment.

Stop being so melodramatic. Hardly going to affect Plymouth Speedway to their demise. Far worse calling off a meeting two weeks ago due to a crap track with everyone inside. Looking forward to tonight. Prefer watching the Pirates over individual events. Hope the showers stay away and we have an exciting meeting and a good Poole lead to take to Plymouth next week.

The crowd will not be affected regardless of the Plymouth lineup. That was proved when Brum came down with a patched up lineup. Big crowd. They will line up, if it is on, as: 1 Rider Replacement 8.402 Ben Morley 4.293 Ben Trigger 8.004 Anders Rowe 6.765 Dillon Ruml 7.156 Lee Complin 3.267 Connor Coles 2.00 If that is the official lineup, Pirates really need to be up for it. No sitting back. Plymouth could certainly hold us close. Rider Replacement certainly knows his way around Poole. Been here enough times. Morley is no slouch. Wasn’t Trigger from Only Fools and Horses in the GPs a few seasons ago? Rowe and Ruml solid and Complin always entertains with his around the boards efforts. Coles and Ablitt battling for the odd point. Too close to call.

Is this meeting streamed?

Of course they don’t. Just a few jealous fools on here. Most fans I talk to want their clubs to aspire to what Matt and Middlo have done.

The track might cop a heavy shower later but they should be able to deal with the occasional heavy shower. Forecast is far worse tomorrow. What is the Plymouth off race day? Sundays forecast is decent.
