Philip Rising in my opinion is very good at giving information on this forum, & its always fair & balanced. The forum would be a much worse place without him.

Riders Who Come On Later In Their Careers.
proud panther replied to NickRushbrook's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Think its more about attitude than age. Most riders could get an extra 20% improvement if they spent more time in the gym, & less time in the pub. Another big factor is sponsorship. Woffie is a good example, because he has dedicated his life to speedway, & is reaping the benefits. Pedersen, Hancock etc are prolonging their careers doing the same. -
If Scunny keep the 6 that finished the season, what points are left to replace Howe. Sorry in advance to David, but im not sure that you will be fit for the start of the season , or if you are planning on riding next year in the Premier League. If you are, then I wouldn't want to be picking the team, because nobody deserves to be left out in my opinion. The team that finished the season would have won the League if we had started with them in my opinion.

Leicester V Scunthorpe 3.8.2013
proud panther replied to Skodaman's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
You said I was completely wrong, so how would you interpret that rather than nonsense? -
Shame Joe has decided to take a break, because he made great strides last season. Expect finance is a big issue, because on good equipment he is a useful rider. Hope he comes back next year.

Nightshift, it matters because Neb basically said I was talking nonsense, & then talks nonsense his self. -

Now you need to try again Neb, because that is not true. He only left because the Leicester management decided to rest Lewis in favour of Branford. If you know any of the Leicester riders, you will realise that most of them don't get on with the track. Lewis didn't do too bad with the track Saturday from where I was standing. -

Still waiting for your version of events reference Lewis Blackbird Neb. -

proud panther replied to Skodaman's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I await your version of events with interest Neb. The meetings Blackbird was asked to cover were meetings when Branford was riding abroad. Instead of just saying im wrong, tell me why im wrong. I hope all the young Brits find regular Premier & Elite berths, but don't think the Leicester track helps their confidence. The last statement is just my opinion, & is not meant to stir the anti Leicester mob up again. -

Neb ive done my homework, & trust me that's the FACTS. -

proud panther replied to Skodaman's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Blackbird was asked to share with Branford & decided he needed a full time Premier League spot & Scunthorpe were looking to replace Bates. If Leicester hadn't introduced Branford, Lewis would have still been a Lion. So as it has turned out, with Branford scoring less than Blackbird,it was a bad decision by the management. Think they got carried away with Branfords under 21 win. -

Well Lewis Blackbird certainly came back to Leicester & proved a point. He rode really well, & showed the Leicester management that they made a huge mistake in letting him go. Throw in Lewis Kerr, & they have let 2 up & coming Brits go elsewhere & prosper. Wonder if Branford will do the same if he can go to a track that doesn't knock the confidence out of him. -
Praying that Ricky makes a full recovery. Top rider & top bloke. Hope the moron who was shouting abuse last night wakes up this morning & realises the impact their actions must have had on Ricks family & friends who were present last night. Total 100% knobhead.

Leicester Lions 2013
proud panther replied to Honey Monster's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Wonder if Branford will continue the trend for reserves who leave Leicester & improve like Kerr & Blackbird ? Think the Leicester management have been a bit quick to dump him, especially as Sargeant is a rider who will score about the same points. -

Rob Branford is struggling at the moment, but he is only a young lad, & had a bad injury last season. Add to that a lack of guidance & funds for equipment, is it any wonder he is struggling ? The Leicester management need to help him through this difficult period, because there are few better options on a 3 point average in my opinion. -

Good point reference 2nd halves Vulcan 62, but the track is available for practice if the riders need to master the track. My personal opinion is the reserves have struggled because its mainly gate & go, & the reserves have struggled to get out of the starts. -
Somerset V Scunthorpe Pl 26/7/13 @ 7:30pm
proud panther replied to RebelRebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Really enjoyed my first visit to Somerset, although the journey took me 6 hours due to M5 being blocked & my diversion causing me to do 2 miles in 90 minutes! Very good news that Kyle is ok. My opinion was he had a little too much speed going into the bend, & couldn't get round. Wouldnt blame Birks, & the same goes for the Morris incident. Shame the crash caused such a long delay, although I did manage to occupy my time in the very impressive clubhouse! Will definitely get back there next year as the racing was very good. -

Thanks for the info chaps. Is there any chance of rain down Somerset way before Friday? Hougaard should do well for the Rebels, he is on fire for Panthers. Think Dyer is more of a gamble for Scunny. Could anyone recommend somewhere to stop within 20 miles of the track. -

North only scored 6 from 6 rides for Leicester last night, so no match for Steady. -
Message To The Leicester Promotor
proud panther replied to robert72's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Lets hope that DH doesnt go down the Mallets route to self destruction. After all the hard work put in by a lot of people, it would be a tragedy if Leicester was lost to speedway again. The track maintenance equipment issue is a worry, because rider safety has to be priority.
