  1. What would have been a great day of speedway ruined yet again by rain. So frustrating for fans and riders alike.
  2. Well done to Poole on picking up the first bit of silverware available for this season. Commiserations to the Stars who are a good team and will be be in the top four for the play-off's.
  3. Poole's first meeting of the season is the defence of the Elite Shield which gives us a rather tough two leg affair against a very good Stars team. With Gomolski, North and Starke having to settle in to the Poole team and also at Wimborne Road and by all accounts Chris Holder looking " a bit rusty" plus the Stars already having a settled team, then I would not be surprised to see Poole lose this on aggregate over the two legs? Still it's great to have speedway back again and as always, may the best team win.
  4. Well done " The Grin " on winning the World championship....What a great advert for the world of Speedway the man is.
  5. "Simmo" was my first hero in speedway and I'm very sad to hear this news. My thoughts are with the family and friends. RIP Super Simmo.
  6. Sorry for you Somerset supporters but welcome to the one eyed world of purposely provoking stevebrum. In other words a Troll.
  7. Good and informative thread Andrew...... Many thanks.
  8. I think Middlo made the correct decision to leave when he did because some mistakes were made in selection and it would appear he got feed up with all the flack!? However, that's the price you have to pay when you are in the public eye so now he's gone and we move on. The position needed a new man at the helm to inject some energy and passion back into the team and I wish Rosco and the GB team he assembles the very best of luck.
  9. I'm saddened to hear about Peterborough Panthers and I sincerely hope someone steps to keep them going.
  10. I think Pearson and Tatum do a good job but the haters have to find something else to whinge at. As someone else said.... " You'll miss them when they have gone "
  11. I thoroughly enjoyed the meeting and the icing on the cake was to see a British rider become the new world champion......Congratulations Tai Woffinden
  12. I'll be rooting for Tai to end the final meeting as World Champion.
  13. Another daily dig at Poole ( and others ) with the trade-mark, trolling one-liners, from the man who loves to give it out - then spends the rest of his time pathetically attempting to defend himself on other threads from people who also find his rambling style offensive. I don't think I have ever seen the term " Get a Life " be more applicable towards one person.
  14. Sad news. My thoughts are with his family and friends. RIP Tony.
  15. Well said. I hope Tai makes a quick recovery and soon returns to the excellent form he was in.
