I wasn't debating Scott & Co v Nigel & Kelv. It's the amateurish sound mix between track and canned commentary that kills it for me.

I have to totally agree. Very dull meaningless meeting. Amazing that you only need to take 3 riders (Holder, Ward, Hancock) off the world stage and we're left with this. i did better,I fell asleep. Eurosport's sound mix gets me off on the wrong foot. We have very good pictures but the sound from the stadium is negated by the canned commentary of Nicholls and some other bloke. I'm not critising their commentary but it too dominant, you can't hear the bikes and it takes away any atmosphere from the track. The GPs are fine a there the commentators are trackside. Sky got the mix right in the days when Tony Millard pretended to be trackside when in fact he was only in the next booth to Heuwen and Havvy. Eurosport- COULD DO BETTER.

And it's dire.

Unfortunately his journalistic career only involves delivering newspapers.

Lousy race coverage again by Eurosport. They can't get the sound right. If we have to have commentary from a shed at the bottom of Scott's garden then get the mix right. Bikes sounded as if my next door neighbour was hoovering.

The host nation is seeded into the competition, not straight thro' to the final, FFS. I'm in business as are lots of other members of this forum and I'm sure that we would all confer in the premise that 'if I'm not fullfilling my quota i ask the customer what he wants that I'm not offering'. Why don't BSI do this instead of persevering with their seemingly 'that's on offer take it or leave it' attitude.

But there was a temp stand built on turns 3-4 for the 2004 competition so crowd could exceed that capacity. Assume that the management applied for temp capacity increase to suit or just kept taking the money until there was no one left outside but there were more likely 6000 there for the final. Don't think that the council have a bloke outside with a clicker so pack 'em in. btw SCB where did you get that figure? There probably is a limit imposed based on toilet facilities or something but Poole stadium can actually hold up to 8000

Then maybe they could have an "It's a Royal Speedway World Cup Knockout" next year to keep the entertainment going. Prince Edward could take over from Middlo as manager. If team GB go 6 points behind, he would play the tac joker and Prince Harry could replace Eddie Kennett or whoever. Stuart Hall could mind the kids.

Why should anyone have any affliation with Great Britain? it's been a downhill ride in this country since Bobby Moore lifted the World Cup. We've been shafted by goverments, politicians, councillors, lord mayors, union leaders, lawyers, social security scoungers, property developers, the EU, the BBC, the BSPA. There's nothing left to be proud of. Still I'll be rooting for team GB i suppose.
