  1. Wild card: Hans Andersen reserves 17. Jesper B Jensen and 18. Kenneth Bjerre. I think these were the right choices.
  2. I was just on the phone to Daugavpils. Weather is sunny and practise had just ended. What ever lap times were clocked, the finns were on the better side. No worries!

  4. I'll do a map for you tonight. When Ässät from Tampere were riding in the league in the 80's early 90's at Eteläpuisto, right in the middle of the city they had an average crowd of 1000-1500 per meeting. There used to be hundreds watching just the practises during the week. When they had a big international meeting, like a qualifier they had 3000-4000 people.

The Latvian riders didn't turn up in Finland at all for the 2nd and 3rd round, havent yet discovered why. Also dont know about the attendance and heat times for the first match in Latvia. The 2nd round in Seinäjoki attracted 67! people (paid the ticket) while the 3rd round in Pori saw around 100 sold tickets. The Pori club had done a big job and given out around 6000 free tickets around the city. Around 600 of them were received back at the turnstiles + the traffic by the track was so big that they just let the cars in. Best estimate would be around 1000 people in attendance. There was also a film crew present, and a 6 camera DVD production will be out next month. HUGE credit has to be given for the Pori club. They have worked hard along the years, when the sport has been it's lowest. Seinäjoki too, well, every club... But Pori the most! When I get the results from Pori I'll post them as well and the averages too.
  6. Bridger is too young, he wont be 17 until November? Kennett has been named as a replacement.
  7. Well you wont see him riding in Cardiff this year in the SGP.
  8. This was the last time I put anything on Scott... to hit the tapes... unbelievable! Nicki is such a t""d, but he knows how to ride the bike. Thank's for the point's...
  9. You didn't by any chance accidentally take a safetycopy of the kandysfoft .xls did you..
  10. We went to Harry's, on advice of No Fear. It was nice to be in a bar where people didn't smoke, alltough it sucked big time when the lights came on at 2AM? or similar... tequila shooters for 100 kr each... EDIT: just read from swedish press that O'learys would have been a better choice. Scotty was there... Crump is just looking so good at the moment... SO GOOD! Hancock rode brilliantly against him in ht 17? defending his lead all the way. Yet in the final he should have closed the gap entering lap 2 by the tapes... Hancock was so pleased with his performance that he was running around in the pits like a little kid afterwards ! Quote of the meeting goes to Gollob:" Thank you Jawa factory, GM is better!" He was seriously saying it's all GM onwards. Maybe even the special Jawa for Bydgoszcs might be facing the axe?
  11. I didn't check this year but like I said, last year... There were 2 different kinds of pickup points, and the tickets said you can only pick em up at the one that wasn't in Eskilstuna. Anyway, tickets sorted all around! What is the official speedway party-bar after the meeting in Eskilstuna tomorrow? I've heard rumours that the Brasserie would be a safe bet????
  12. Nothing like that ever happens on these Nordic extravaganzas...
  13. Well thats nice. Last year I checked the internet, and found plenty of them in Södertälje (50 km from Eskilstuna?) but none from Eskilstuna. We drove straight to Södertälje from our ferry, found out they were closed because of a public holiday and drove back to Stockholm Globen to get the tickets. This time I got our tickets a month ago when we had a short holiday in Stockholm, so I bought them and they are already in my wallet.
  14. Practise usually starts at 15.00. From last year I remember that there is no ticnet pickup point at Eskilstuna. Södertälje has a few of them. Check ticnet.se
  15. I was happy to see that Joonas got the hang of Gubbangen, and Laukkanen scored some points as well, and beat Rune Holta too.
  16. Lehtinen and Keskinen both had mechanical problems, engines and clutchs being the biggest problems. Not that it mattered, a semi slot would have been sensational! 1. Henrik Möller Tanska 12+3 2. Fredrik Lindgren Ruotsi 14+2 3. Antonio Lindbäck Ruotsi 13+1 4. Sebastian Alden Ruotsi 14+0 5. Morten Risager Tanska 11 6. Robert Pettersson Ruotsi 11 7. 17. I watched the GP last night, BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING! I hope I get the chance to ask Olsen's opinion about track prep at Eskilstuna. I really want to know whats his guiding light. I do understand that a league meeting is for 15 heats and a GP 23, but still...
  18. I've noticed the same. But in all honesty it doesn't really matter, it's the points that count. When deciding who's riding in the semi's it goes: wins, second's, third's, fourth's. A zero is better than a F, X or similar. When deciding the final results, it goes: first's, second's, thirds, fourth's, when met.
  19. I do, I do... No offense, but where did you get these?
  20. "Everything went as planned, and everything worked all day." Rene Lehtinen. They also had the GM back from the shop, the one that failed in Berlin.
  21. Preliminary report's confirm this
