  1. Aussies have one thing against them: Australia, on the other side of the world. This has been done before, but the fact is that a new (a fact that defines things) has been set and that is about the meetings any country hosts. Because there is a lack of organisers for quali meetings since nobody wants to see them and they cost the organiser money. U21 qualification is a good example, ten years ago it was 5 qualis, two semis and a final. Now its 3 semis. FIM has stopped publishing the number of allocation requests, but the last time I had that info I remember that the number of applications was still there, but with no meeting organisers what can the FIM do? For example, ACU will host U21 team final and a GP quali. I bet they both end up costing money for the organizer. The word was factor.
  2. If the track had a license 2018, why not 2019?
  3. ”Ice fight” was the series I think. With Knapps accident the plans were shelved and never materialised.
  4. This sounds good. As in as good when they changed to the 15 rider format to get back to basics as in everyone races against each other once. Which did not happen. IMO, dont waste time thinking or doing rubbish all towards this. Instead Bouin and co should spend that time to market the discipline and/or trying to find sponsors for the series.
  5. Kauhajoki merting start time on Jan 12th is 12.00.
  6. But you see, you get whats left after FIM takes what they need, PZM takes what they want and Sweden takes tuesdays.
  7. Think they had one Nordic final there and those Haribo meetings with the golden teddy Bear It’s called co-operation, thats what can make things happen. But lets say I buy a page in Spar and tell I’ll be running the Finnish final at Eastbourne in 2020 with Finnish riders under SML... And for the record, todays lottery is not done yet!
  8. The very basic rule/starting point of any racing as in a competiteve meeting from a political view is that the meeting is run with a starting permit from the country/federation where its at. This makes sure that everything is good to go insurance wise and some rules are followed. So if Bspa says (under authorization from ACU) you’re out you’re out. And it’s how the system works.
  9. Prize money itself isn’t funding the teams. Not even Team Finland. and besides, who says the U21 rider has mechanics for free and they sleep together in the van. 4free.
  10. But thats the problem! Should anything happen to the top 2, most teams have to rewrite their plans to succeed as their reserve U21 is well out of his depth. Finland as a prime example.
  11. Been out, now in. Who is this Karlsson fellow? Neverheard, and you think he`ll turn the SoN in Swedens way?
  12. Who are they? EDIT: cant see luke in the u21 list of the world and kling is an also ran. What you thin Morgan thinks, take an also ran isntead of AJ or Lindbäck?
  13. Who wants an what! If I say there are 4 nations fighting for the top 3 spots, how many of them has good enough of a U21 rider? What cost implications? If one of our top2 gets injured, we might as well stay home. We have no good enough U21 riders.
  14. They can do that. Entries had to be in a month ago with last years rules. But like I think I said, nobody wants the U21 rule.
  15. 2019 book not published yet. I had read that text also from LAST years book. EDIT: last or this, you get what I mean
  16. Where you read that? And as a reminder, according to my info U21 rule was hated all around and CCP meeting takes place this weekend. Havent seen 2019 books published yrt.
  17. I’m looking for the full season averages from Finnish SM-liiga 1999. For some reason my quest to find them in Finnish has not come through, so lets try here. Also anything before 1994 would be highly appreciated.
  18. When the lottery takes place, we’ll be in the basket called ”teams most likely to not win team gb 5-1 and nobody cares if they in or not” and thats why we’ll be riding in the manchester quali. has bugger all to do with finances.
  19. Economical to put Finland to Manchester instead of denmark or germany? Think again. not that it matters...
  20. 1. Take winter clothing. 2. Tampere is closer than Helsinki, but only 2 hrs (1,5 if Im driving) between them on a motorway. I dont know about other airports but apparently Vaasa still has one but Seinäjoki I guess is closed. You deffo need a car. EDIT: actually with the winter speed limit of 100kmh it would be 2 hrs even with me driving.
  21. Kauhajokil is a bit in the sticks but A LOT closer to everybody than Ylitornio. They also stage the Finnish final this/next season.
