Ice speedway gladiators world championship, Almaty 21st Feb 2016. Glanced the FIM appendices, no mention of Dead heats either way.

Thats what I thought... Last season or the season before there was a dead heat in ice speedway world championships meeting. In the past decade I feel tempted to say I've seen one other in track racing.

Dead heat as in no finishers?

Think it's four times that 12 points has been enough to win WC. Ermolenko won without a runoff even. If every rider finishes their heat in the traditional 20 heat formula, whats the lowest amount of points that can give you the win without a runoff? Anyone ever seen a meeting with 20 heats and a lower amount of points to win? I have 9 to win with 7 tied on 8 points for 2nd.

WTF. The whole point of the GTR engine according to the daughter of Gerhard himself was that they are producing ONE type of ready tuned engine. They way I see it (which means bugger all) is that the seal is there to stop me from opening it, its not about it being a different engine.

Sunday. Originally saturday, but moved to sunday to give riders time to get back home from Almaty. This happened about a month ago. No problems for Finnish riders this year, we have our final on saturday.

The qualis for this years SEC start on May 1st. Debrecen has been replaced by a track at Nagyhalasz, HU. Never heard, gmaps is showing a nice little round track near the town center. Anyone with more backround on the subject?

Is that British Eurosport? Checked the Finnish site and there's no mention... If I remember correctly, Finland is nowadays on it's own. There isn't even a "Nordic ES" anymore.

I'm told that part of the whole Euro Champs fiasko is that the Ufa club went bust late last year.

Me thinks BSI stream the SGP, not FIM. Big difference. EDIT: stream as in provide it and geoblock it if they want to.

Thats very interesting. Since it's against a very basic rule in speedway that you need 350-500cc engine in a speedway race. Good thing that the French sort out this legal and insurance wise, so if it's allowed, we can possibly adapt it ovee here. Cant see it happening though, too dangerous.

Final is at Kauhajoki on Feb 25th. Mikko Jetsonen has declared himself unfit to ride this season, so 7+2 became 8+2 yesterday. After the Basic 20 heat quali yesterday they rode a semi and a final between the top six. Seppänen on Facebook yesterday saying it should be all done in the next few days. Though you are right and we have had a rider in the series "always"?, would not be surprised if we missed out this year.

When I tried, was about 20eur more expensive than what I currently have as a replacement. Thanks anyway! Will keep trying occasionally. Have three different hotels booked ATM. EDIT: and now I have 4 since finally managed to secure Mercure central.

Getting a bit tired of trying to book Mercure central. I try daily with it showing it's full via Booking, yet everyday several bookings have been made... 26 today, 48 during tuesday... We have rooms, thats not a problem. But we want to go back to Mercure central..

Dont read Danish that well, but stories about money problems have been very rare since the current league format was introduced.

It was a good article in Spar regarding the engines, a real eye opener. Basically a single big enough reason to pay and buy that issue.

Different world (and track racing world also) then as well... Not a discussion I wish to enter due to lack of time though.

So the older Mustonen is close to getting a call to join then. He was the first to drop out after last season and already has stated that he will enter the qualis to be in the series in-18.
