  1. So who gets priority when there's a fixture clash?
  2. Surely not, he's just not there yet. But if there is to be another German, does Kai Huckenbeck qualify for a 5 or 7 average? He was very impressive indeed at Darcy's benefit meeting at Gillman.
  3. Regardless of average, if Kai Huckenbeck can race in the way he did on a borrowed bike in Darcy Ward's meeting at Gillman, he'd be worth any PL's club consideration.
  4. Interviewed on mike at Darcy Ward meeting in Adelaide, Anders Thomsen said he was NOT riding in the UK in 2016.
  5. Facebook wrong! Official attendance (confirmed by FIM jury report) was 2,688.
  6. Because he already knew Anders Thomsen was out of the meeting, making Heat 15 a better time to use it?
  7. There will be DVDs marketed. Definitely, I saw the guy from Adelaide there tonight, obviously getting some practice footage.
  8. Lots of visitors at the SGP last Saturday reported to be heading to Mildura now.
  9. Alex Davies will definitely be at Scunthorpe. He is staying in Britain over the winter to build up funds to get his gear lined up.
  10. 18K was the attendance at the first Cardiff, which has grown nicely since then. If first Melbourne is upward of 25K, then they are already ahead of the game in their 5-year plan.
  11. That sounds great. Except they don't support the need to have speedway, they give their money to the riders and arrange parties and away trips. All good, obviously. But a club such as this should be aware that, if the club goes to the wall, their funding of such projects are useless. The Berwick Supporters Club were superb in their help to the promotion AND riders between 2018 and late 2014. What happened?
  12. You're way off beam, guys. The U-21 at Mildura is a week on from the GP, it is on Saturday 31st. If you want speedway next Sunday, try Broadford. There's a country meeting there -- about an hour north of Melbourne. This will be a meeting of solos and sidecars on a big track over 400 metres, racing from noon.
  13. 100,000 bike fans in Melbourne this weekend for MotoGP at Phillip Island. Some aggressive promotion of the SGP among those might pay dividends. As an interested observer of your posts, Humphrey, where in Australia did you say you lived?
  14. They'll be working flat out next week on this one -- Saturday night has Melbourne Victory against Melbourne City (soccer) and therefore no track work could begin until Sunday at earliest. Practice on Friday afternoon?
  15. We were discussing this. Obviously, it had been planned that Darcy would get it, but now MA and GP people will be desperately trying to talk Jason into doing it, a bit like Gollob did the big one in Poland at the start of the year. If Crumpie says no thanks, it has to be Sam Masters, because he supported and qualified through Australian title series. Or Max Fricke as Under 21 Champion. Dakota North has the form, but MA will want to stick with the riders who supported their domestic title series.
  16. Yes, Peterborough. Except the move will be "pending BSPA approval" as it looks a bit iffy.
  17. Richard Hall is a World Champion, having skippered the GB side to the World Long-Track Team Title in Germany yesterday. Can anyone say if the Bandits have ever before had a real live current FIM World Champion at any track-racing discipline in their team?
  18. The last r/r comes early, in Heat 12. Wouldn't think they'd risk the weakest link at that point unless there was about a twenty-point gap! Better use Edberg or Garcia in Heat 3 against Howe and Spud and shuffle the bigger trio into the other races.
  19. OK, that's interesting. Have you sent an e-mail to the club, asking them to investigate?
  20. There's a difference in that Richard will be representing ACU in long-track, and Bandits will get some sort of facility if there's a clash. Franc and Tressarieu don't get the same benefits, and in their case there will also be a considerable number of other European speedway events to which they're commited. Hall only does the big World long track and grass track championships.
