It seems every time Gary Havelock goes to Redcar as the Poole team manager he gets the riders well up for it .. very passionate fella is havvy -
Jr would have rode last season for the Scunthorpe NDL team but not surprisingly was only offered coppers to ride by the owner & bspl chairman just saying

In the middle of bend 1 there's a soft patch/rut that's been troublesome for years & the riders be it professional or amateurs just ride over it on full throttle & it gets the rider around the bend no problem but if the rider slightly shuts off the throttle the bike just hoys the rider into the fence ... It must be a weakness in that part of the track I imagine.. just saying -
Let's hope these are just silly roumers & it doesn't go like my team Newcastle did & closed down for various ( the dogs pulling the plug on the speedway & making it very hard for our former owner Rob grant to carry on with the club due to reasons beyond his control & I know some Newcastle fans are still bitter at the way he closed it down but he couldn't go on losing money like he was )for 1 reason or another

Well let's face it there all EX diamonds now as the club is sadly gone & some of the riders who have been asked are not to sure about doing it sadly.. But at least the Redcar promotion are doing there bit to keep the diamonds name alive

Probably not at brough park but there are a couple of potential sites out in the sticks so hopefully maybe 1 day Never say Never

Come march April hopefully the Redcar promotion & diamonds former manager/promoter & most successful one since the Ian Thomas days can keep the tees Tyne trophy meeting going & doing so keeping the Newcastle speedway name alive with the hope it comes back to Tyneside one day
