You won't let this go, will you? Nico Covatti is an Argentine citizen, holding an Argentine passport. Born and bred. Speaks Spanish, not Italian. He also qualifies (by some dubious means) for an Italian passport. Dual nationality, ever heard of it? That he races as an Italian in the WTC is due to Armando Castagna being sharp enough to grab him for Italy, as the Argies don't have a team of their own.
-
No, he did it four weeks ago. Check your results for the Queensland State Title meeting? An apology will do, naturally.
-
Last year Brady Kurtz would have come in on 3.00, except he had raced in an overseas league. He doesn't need a visa as his parentage allows him a UK passport. This year, Jack Holder is a quite different case. An Australian passport, er, holder. Needs a visa, will be assessed as a foreigner. Two different situations. Mind you, same club screwed up both times.

Not for something like twenty years.... and you know this, how?
-
Sounds like a job for Super-Max!
-
Allen has aleady shown he can outpace Kozza, Ryan Douglas, Nelson & co in Australia this year. Seven or five, Berwick should be ensuring he joins them, becoming an asset.
-
De-ja vu?
-
....and are you certain it doesn't?
-
If you mean Allen, he was second in the Queensland title last month. If you mean Holder, he was second in the 2013 NSW title. ... and you know this, how?
-
Yes they will, both have already finished in the top three of a State Championship. Can I have my $1,000,000 please?
-
Berwick don't need to dump anyone, they have four empty spaces and will just cut their cloth accordingly. Somerset however......
-
Berwick have a habit of pulling rabbits out of hats (Alden, Bellego and Jensen were all totally-unexpected when signed) so your promotion shouldn't be written off just yet. But please don't heed your pal Robin's pleas about Jason Bunyan. He would, I regret (as Jason has had a solid career) be absolutely wrong in so many ways.
-
He's from Argentina. If you must snipe at the hard-working promotion, at least use the correct bullets.
-
At Sheffield?
-
Well, he'll be 36 by the time the season begins, and if Bunyan ever been up anyplace, he'd have been on a downward spiral for a good few years......... Your fellow-supporters are talking positively about signing new young and welcoming a brilliant capture in Ben Barker -- what's your agenda?
-
As long as it isn't the aged carthorse from Rye you've been punting on the club all winter!
-
Fair enough Mister P. But you didn't quite address the point. Are you still the owner of Glasgow Tigers or has any purchase of the promotion now been signed, sealed and delivered?
-
Nobody yet. Gordon Pairman is awaiting a cheque!
-
So, if the Aussies are to be on 7, who will Somerset drop and who might they bring in? That's a serious question..........
-
Confirmed. Is that going to be a loan deal, or a full transfer?
-
Berwick's complaint is surely that Brian Havelock agreed with both the Berwick promoters at different times during the AGM they could have Matej Kus on loan again, but turned around once the deal with the rider was completed and went back on his word? The Berwick newsletter says just that. They agree it is Redcar's prerogative to retain an asset, but are clearly disappointed that they were given full permission to approach the rider to discuss the second year's loan, only to be told once their deal was done that the loan was a no-no, their consortium suddenly wanted £21K? From where I am, looking at the affair from a neutral viewpoint, it stinks.

Like father, like son
-
Bunyan, then.......
-
Ben Barker will be paid as a good No 1 should be, but in no way is he going to be the most expensive rider in the PL. There's Cook, Stead, two at Somerset and three at Glasgow who will be paid at a higher rate. Barker will be on a par with Danny King, Ulrich Oestergaard and Edward Kennett at a rate below the really-expensive signings.
-
Redcar are right to demand twenty-one grand?
