  1. As i am travelling up for this meeting i was wondering why replacing missing riders will make it a farce? I also seem to have missed a guest, i thought the guests were, Wood, Morley & Wilson, just wondering who the other guest was?
  2. They did not call off early. The forecast was a belt of light rain passing through, this was forecast for days before hand. B V were asked by the Kent management early morning if it was going ahead & were told definitely yes. I no of at least 4 cars that made a wasted trip up (me included). B V then called it off after lunch, when we got the message we were 30 mins away from the track. I have absolutely no problem with calling it off, but why not when its against a team from the other end of England call if off earlier in the morning, the rain was forecasted for days. As you say there was little if any rain, but that can happen when a match is called off based on a forecast. The match at Kent v B V was not called off because of forecasted rain but because of over night rain flooding the track.
  3. The forecast for tomorrow does not look good, I no Buxton are usually very good at giving an early call to save the long trip up, unlike Belle Vue last week.
  4. I think it’s because of a pre arranged grasstrack commitment.
  5. Kent up against it at stoke with no facility allowed at No 1 for the missing Paul hurry.
  6. Spot on Sydney, his gating is not the best yet but he is super smooth on a bike & very quick. I would say he looks a bit like Leigh Adams. Im sure Rosco will not rush him into the top flight to soon but when he does he will have the Kent supporters behind him 100%.
  7. There is no doubt the outing for Swindon done Anders the world of good, it seemed to give him a boost of confidence & I'm sure he would jump at the chance to ride in the Elite but as a kent supporter watching him every week I would say a prolonged team place may be a bit to soon, he is improving all the time but it is a big jump to the Elite & i feel he needs a bit more time to develop 1st.
  8. Id like to think your prediction is wrong, but i have to agree especially with a top 3 like that . Even Cradley couldn't have picked a better heat leader trio!
  9. Ellis Perks i believe. Losing Stoneman is a big blow to Kents hopes of getting a result at Brum he was bang on form.
  10. As an Eastbourne supporter it would be nice for you just to have a meeting.
  11. So why did the referee exclude Brennan then!?
  12. That was nothing to do with protecting 1 point. If Eastbourne were happy with 1 point they would have done there best to get to heat 10 for a result & collect their 1 point. Kent were 9 points up after heat 5 & Eastbourne were never going to claw that back by heat 10, hence all the ridiculous delay tactics by Eastbourne to stop the meeting reaching heat 10 before the 8.30 curfew & deny Kent the win.
  13. Spiller. So now we no why the Mildenhall match was cancelled & no matches in July.
  14. Who knows the rules but i thought you can have a guest for a missing No1 whatever the reason for him missing a match, but you can also have a guest if a 2nd rider is missing at the same time because he is riding for another team, whether that means a team in a higher league or the same league i don't no!? r/r would come into play if that 2nd rider is missing because of injury. Have to agree with you about the averages but that is why Cradley carefully selected riders that would add the most points to their starting averages thus guaranteeing them the strongest possible team as the season goes on & an almost dead cert trophy.
  15. But are the select side not allowed guests for Kemp & Bickley? If they are then they could replace with Morley for Kemp & Stoneman/Clegg for Bickley? With Hampshire at reserve & hitting some big scores recently (including paid 15 tonight) they are not going to be any weaker. Cant see anything but NL Select v Mild in the final.
  16. The Prime Brum league fixture is booked in for august 27th which is a bank holiday when a large crowd will be expected, why would it make any sense to bring it forward? Should this be rained off there is still plenty of time to run it. Kent promotion like to have a home meeting every Monday (unlike some teams), this was a blank date so what better than the 2nd leg of a tie that has previously been rained off twice against one of the strongest teams in the league. Don't think that is being blinkered!
  17. If Kent need to replace Luke (impossible i no) Boxall or Knight would be good choices & both averages fit. As for guests, Bowtell was a good guest yesterday but i don't think there is anyone better & more reliable than Ben Morley he always delivers.
  18. What an absolute brilliant day out, long live the British GP at Cardiff.
  19. Check out the Chicken curry, its spot on mmmmm.
  20. To be fair to Clouting, he had 1 ride at the beginning of the season when he fell while leading & broke his ankle, then he had 2 matches recently when he was fit again these were home & away against Eastbourne so hardly an easy route back to racing again after an injury.
  21. Why didn't Plymouth use Boxall when Roynon got injured?
  22. Just been told this match is off.
  23. Not so bad for the Kent fans if Morley was riding but he's not, (nor is Bowtell), so no reason for Kent supporters to hang around & watch IOW, makes for a REALLY expensive day out.
