The stand has over 2000 seats. Who knows how many people are in the stadium but even on a bad night it looks as if at least 1/4 of the seats are occupied thats over 500 people. There must be 150 people that stand on the balcony between the 2 layers of seats, plus at least 70 around the track and If its a local derby/no football/bank holiday attendance goes up considerably. There are a lot of clubs would love to have the support that Kent get. Financially the stadium is owned by the speedway/dogs promoter so there is no massive rent to pay.

To fit Bowtell, Hunter, Halsey or Shanes in the team one of the 3 heat leaders or Rowe would have to go, that would achieve nothing as they have all been performing well.

£16 at Brum, £15.50 at Buxton inc prog so all NL tracks are much the same. Come on what can you buy with £1, half a bag of chips, a can of coke, 3/4 litre of petrol. I would suggest that an increase of £1 would not put someone off going, all it would do is give someone who does not want to go an excuse. £16 for a live event is still really good value. As EEF says everything is going up in price so why shouldn't speedway.

Not quite right, both Kent riders did not fall in the last heat, yes Brum were on a 5-1 when Luke came off. Bacon was nowhere near overtaking either Luke or Anders in the first heat and he did not fall off!

Plus on a higher average, Steve boxall

I think they would be talking about Luke Clifton and not Luke Bowen.

Has Dan Greenwood signed for Kent? That could be a great replacement for Nathan if he can find some of his previous form around CP.

Jack is a much improved rider now he is back to gm rather than the gerhard engine

I wonder if Mr Carr would have said anything if he had been riding for Birmingham and not Kent and was going to continue to ride in the meeting? Hope both he & Mr Dugard are OK. -

I have seen riders stay on the track when their team mate is getting beaten to get a rerun hundreds of times, but what was odd about this occasion is that Mr Cupitt seemed to be surprised when he got booed! So much so that he stuck his fingers up and gave other signs with his hands to the Kent supporters, this of course meant he got abuse in return. He then proceeded to through a hissy fit & throw his helmet down the track & leap over the fence. Maybe someone ought to tell him that if he is going to stay on the track to get a rerun expect booing from the opposition supporters as this would be a normal response from every set of supporters in the country. It is on speedway gb official website -
For what its worth the manager of 2015 WORLD champions Sweden, Morgan Andersen, has never ridden a speedway bike.
-
James Shanes?

I thought the rule was you can only have a guest to cover for an absent no1 or if 2 or more riders are out injured? Even if buxton can only use r/r for his absence it has to be better than signing a 3 point rider!

Danny has had his operation already. A large part of the cost was paid by supporters. Odd really that a rider that is so obviously liked by speedway public finds himself with no team place either in the championship & at the moment in the Nat league.

It has been announced on kings facebook. I hope this does not mean no Shane's as well.
-
Definitely No Danny Ayres at Kent next year then. Eastbourne? Cradley?
-
Boxall at 1 would be a good shout seeing as he lives down there now.
-
Shanes will not be riding for Kent.

True. That is why nl teams cannot now sign riders, it gives riders freedom to move if they feel another club would be more benificial. But as Danny is a Kent asset they can ask for a fee if another club came in for him. Cannot see that Cradley can offer him anything that Kent can't. -

I'm sure the Kent management would not stand in his way if he had an elite offer. My point was he is a Kent asset so they have first dibs on him n I really cannot see they would want to lose him to another nl club, same applies to James. -

Danny signed for Kent before that rule came out, but for sure he can ride elsewhere if he can find a club willing to pay Kents million pound transfer fee. -

Danny is a Kent asset so he cannot sign for any other team without Kents permission. He has improved massively this year but I cannot see him in elite next year so hopefully Kent and p.l. -

Boxhall could have signed for a NL club earlier in the season but was led to believe his PL average was too high. Does anyone no how to convert a PL average to NL average? -

Ellis + Knight, Bowen (if fit) + Ayres. Eastbourne + Kent will both be up there.
