  1. With Mason now out injured as well, if they were to enter the 4's the only fit riders able to enter are their 2 reserves Thomas & Verge and Thomas must be black n blue, a real hero last night somehow managing to ride despite summersaulting over the fence on to the dog track. Talk about Kent season falling apart!!
  2. I think he thought he was being booed but in fact it was probably aimed at Smith behind him! Kent supporters have no beef with any riders or certainly supporters of brum other than Mr smith, this is because he was excluded for putting Clifton in the fence previously & he took Verge out going into 1st bend that night (maybe accidental!), i also think Smith took some of the stick aimed at the Brum management when he came round to celebrate their win. I have to agree with bbuck i have been at all brum v Kent n Kent v Brum matches this season & all matches have been in very good spirit between the supporters with both appreciate good racing & its such a shame if there is any bad feeling between the clubs, I'm sure they will meet again this year & the racing has always been good & played out front of very sporting crowds.
  3. There is no way the 3 Kent mascots started their laps after 6.30, they were all off track by 6.30pm. Whatever went on during the meeting there was plenty of time to run the last 4 heats before the curfew until Birm started their delay tactics. All will be revealed when the dvd comes out this week & everyone can make their mind up what happened after watching it! What a shame this meeting ended like it did, the 3 meetings with birm so far this season have been a great advert for nl speedway and so was this one right up until heat 12.
  4. How about the spiller brothers.
  5. Kent will be missing. Bowen, Clifton and Mason. Branford in place of Bowen. Clifton got concussion on monday against Buxton. Mason broke some ribs in the 1st leg of NT cup at Birmingham.
  6. Bowen is top of the averages so Kent could pick any NL rider to replace him.
  7. The last time Mason was there for Kent (2014) he got 14+1 paid maximum. Hopefully the same again on sunday.
  8. Spiller and Hammil should not be confused with BWD. Spiller was born in Britain and so was Hamill and so both can have a British passport if they don't already have one. BWD is not British and neither is his parents so cannot have a passport, because BWD is not British he cannot ride for GB even if he wants to as far as i can work out. I say good luck to spiller riding for Germany in the u21s it gives him invaluable experience that he would not have otherwise had. Hopefully this will make him a better rider for when he rides for team GB in the future.
  9. According to uncle Len, Clifton was riding with a broken rib and it became to painful to take his final ride!
  10. I think the rule changed this year to, you have to have your 2 lowest point scorers at reserve.
  11. Living in the Uk for 5 years does not qualify someone as a British citizen on its own you have qualify in other ways like marry a British Citizen, then live in the UK for 5 years. Any EU citizen can live in the UK for more than 5 years but still not get UK citizenship.
  12. If you are born overseas & have a British passport by gaining Citizenship then you are no more or no less British than someone born in GB so have the same rights i.e. ride in the NL.
  13. 40 point limit, has to be a team place for Morley now.
  14. Perhaps the council think that because elite riders go faster they make less noise than NL riders! Did I read that meetings on Fridays should be finished by 9.10pm unless there are re-runs & then it can be extended to 9.30? Anyway what ever time it starts n finishes & whatever league I cant wait for the season to start.
  15. Kent have planning for a finishing time of 9.30 on Fridays, 6.30 on Monday. Because of school the next day! I meant 8.30.
  16. Where were you stood then, Eastbourne sea front! The video clearly shows Owen fell off well after Danny had gone passed him.
  17. You can tell what Eastbourne intensions were when they decided to party till 4am the night before rather than clean & service their equipment.
  18. Its also good to have local riders & Boxall was born and lives within 30 mins of the track. Everyone knows he is not the best at the mechanical side of speedway but he is a 100% racer & has posted something like 7 out of the top 10 race times + the track record at Kent.
  19. I think I am right in saying Kent cannot run on Monday and Friday in the same week, that is part of the planning restrictions, 1 meeting per week only either Monday or Friday.
  20. There should be no doubt Morley was the best rider and deserved the win. As said, in the final heat there didn't seem to be more than 2 bike lengths between them with Morley taking Ellis preferred outside line virtually all race then switching to hug the inside line on the last bend to block Ellis inside move, brilliant race from both of them. Roll on the nlrc AT Rye House next year I say.
  21. Shanes is going nowhere, the Kent supporters wont let him! Besides, if he did go IOW would be far more appealing to him than Eastbourne.
