Simple solution . Any rider with an average of 8.00 or above is classed as 8.00 in the averages. Problem solved. You can replace a No 1 without having to disrupt the rest of the team.

I may be wrong but i presume the reason for replacing Toft is due to his average being too high with Bjerre as Vaculiks replacement ? If so its another situation where Speedway shoots itself in the foot. Surely some allowance should be given in certain circumstances where teams lose riders through injury that they do not have to disrupt the rest of the team just to bring in a replacement

Does anyone know what became of the junior rider Ryan Goodger. Was friends with his parents but lost touch with them a few years ago and at the time I seem to remember he was a very promising rider but I've heard nothing about him in recent years.
