  1. Its an easy option though if you want everything sorted before you go and if your a bit wary of jumping into a taxi or catching local buses and trains. It would give you peace of mind knowing that the taxi driver is awaiting at arrivals all pre-paid and knows your destination.
  2. I'm not sure who you booked your hotel/apartment with but we were offered a meet and greet taxi at Bydgoszcz Airport for £66 for up to 4 people to take us to our hotel. This was with Booking.com
  3. In 2017 we hopped on a local bus from Bydgoszcz airport direct to Bydgoszcz Train Station and from there we caught a train direct to Torun. The station at Torun is just on the other side of the Vistula River , a 20 min walk or a 5 minute taxi ride from the town. We paid about £14 for the journey for both of us. For the last 2 years weve driven over but we did catch a train from Torun last year to go to Bydgoszcz to attend a Sunday meeting.
  4. With this seasons proposed Australian GP at Ipswich not going ahead does that mean that we are unlikely to see a Aussie GP in the near future. Certainly would love to see another GP from down under as long as it the opening round (and never the finale) .
  5. So only European riders get 2 chances ? Thats hardly fair.
  6. Seems a number on here want to get the S.E.C. champion a guaranteed spot in the GP. How is that fair ? 5 points in the GP Qualifier for Michelsen when he had chance to qualify and why should he get 2 bites at the cherry.
  7. if that's the case overnight you'd lose more than half the tracks in British Speedway
  8. Let me just say what a fantastic weekend we've just had in Cardiff. Its one of the highlights of our Speedway calendar as indeed is Torun next weekend. Cardiff is the ideal host City for the event . Its impressive Stadium right in the heart of the City ( not on an industrial estate miles from anywhere) with ample seating for everybody that wishes to attend and a roof guaranteeing that the inclement British weather will never stop the meeting going ahead. A great atmosphere throughout the City for the whole weekend with plenty of restaurants and pubs to cater for all tastes and pockets. Hotels , yes there far too expensive which we all know but its no different from anywhere else when a major event is being held. Supply and demand, Shop around and search on the internet and look for the best deals to suit your budget . The racing this year wasn't great but i still thought it was an enjoyable meeting. Next year might be better. It may have been a disappointing meeting to a few sat at home watching but to the majority of those present a thoroughly enjoyable Speedway weekend. Tickets and hotels booked for next year , roll on 2020.
  9. Having printed the Torun tickets , for some reason the lower part of the 2 bar codes for the scanner at the bottom of the ticket is incomplete . Cant remember this happening in previous years . Anybody else notice this ?
  10. Looking into going to this GP weekend next season. Anybody who's been before what is the best way to do it regarding flights , hotels and local travel etc ,etc and regardless of the entertainment level of the Speedway event itself is it still a great weekend and worth doing ?
  11. Not sure about that but I'm sure we can sort something out. . Where in the UK are you. Were in East Yorks .Will check the price I'm sure if I remember right it's about £85 for the pair of tickets but it's been a while since I bought them
  12. Will do . Perhaps best to meet up in Torun and hand them over.
  13. Take it thats why theres so many people standing in and around all the doorways and on the steps down to the seats during racing.
  14. We almost certainly have 2 spare tickets due to our friends who were travelling with us have had to pull out at the last minute . We will be taking the tickets toTorun with us. Both have my name on them.
  15. Would love to have gone to tonights meeting but work and a 600 mile round trip rules that option straight out .Really enjoyed our visit to Wimborne Rd a couple of weeks ago even allowing for the result. Great Stadium , track and Poole Quay itself was great. What more can you want !
  16. We really enjoyed our first visit to Poole. Spent a bit of time before the meeting (and on Thursday night) at Poole Quay . What a great place , would love to go again . As for the Speedway .First impressions a great little Stadium ideally placed in the Town with fantastic viewing from the large main stand . A beautiful , warm summers evening and what seemed a large crowd. Thought there was some great racIng , the highlights Nicholls chasing down and passing Kurtz , and Harris on 2 occasions later in the meeting doing the same against Andersen and Nicholls. Best compliment would be that if i lived nearby i"d definitely go and watch on a regular basis. If only Leicester were fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to build and design their own track which enabled thrilling racing , just think how good that would have been !!!!
  17. Were looking forward to this one. A weeks holiday (great weather, so stay in the UK ), travel down to the South Coast with a chance to catch up with the Lions for the 1st time this season followed by a trip to the I.O.W. on Thursday. Both new tracks for us.
  18. Due to the great weather we are having at the moment we've decided to holiday at home , head south and have a few days in Bournemouth this week. Poole on Wednesday and the I.O.W. on Thursday , both 1st time visits so we're looking forward to visiting both tracks.
  19. RT @Hull_City_Polls: Have Hull City made the right decision in releasing David Meyler? Please RT when voted #hcafc #hcafcpolls #UpTheTigers

  20. And who or what are the Stars allowed to use as a replacement should he not make the meeting ?
  21. @SombreEthyl 100 % agree, id love to see @rosenior_liam23 given a chance.

  22. @Kelvin_Tatum @nigelpearson What makes you think @nigelpearson is a Baggies fan. ????????????

  23. @Kelvin_Tatum Hate to see all the great old venues disappearing and our sport in decline. If only the local authori… https://t.co/QScyMT6zaL
