Glasgow Tigers v Berwick Bandits 14/04/23
JanAndersen replied to cheggie's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Lots of stoppages tonight? I’ve been back home in Edinburgh for about 20 mins having seen 15 heats at Armadale! -
Sedgmen showing tonight he’d have been a good signing.
-
Assuming the weather doesn’t scupper this I can’t see the Monarchs winning the meeting nevermind the tie. Masters will go through the card and Nicholls quite possibly too. Sedgmen a really strong guest to back them up also. Anyway here’s hoping for a few good races given the Armadale specialists on show.

Guests is the most sensible approach. You can pick and choose track specialists to an extent to makes total sense. Can’t think of who we might be able to sign to cover him anyway tbh.

Yep got there in the end and once it was working it was the usual high standard of broadcast. Really wish other clubs would do this too. -

You’re calling out volunteer admin on a public forum because they haven’t pinned a topic. Quite stroppy. -

Doesn’t he just mean he needs to harden/toughen up. I’ve not seen the incident so difficult to comment but the consensus seems to be that Cook was in the wrong. Can’t really see the fallout on Twitter either as he blocked me ages ago for telling him his social media persona needed some finessing. -

Followed on speedwayupdates as I’m away this weekend. Sounded like we were hanging in there until that ht10 incident but too heavily reliant on the top two. Was Cook’s move a bit naughty? -

Is this being streamed? -
Good win that. Great to see Cookie slot back in and riding Armadale almost like he'd never been away. Josh will be frustrated but we know he's better than that normally. Good points haul from Kye and Paco and the other boys did their bit too. Don't fancy our chances on Sunday tbh but good to get the season off to a positive start.

And so it begins. Both teams presumably at full strength in front of a bumper crowd as everyone returns to get their speedway fix. Struggle to see anything other than a comfortable Edinburgh win. 60-30........... Edinburgh Monarchs 1 Josh Pickering 8.92 2 Lasse Fredriksen 4.00 3 Kye Thomson 6.60 4 Paco Castagna 4.93 5 Craig Cook 8.24 6 Jacob Hook 4.00 7 Kyle Bickley 2.86 Glasgow Tigers 1 Chris Harris 8.76 2 Marcin Novak 5.00 3 Benjamin Basso 8.52 4 Claus Vissing 5.00 5 Tom Brennan 6.71 6 Lee Complin 4.00 7 Ace Pijper 2.00
