  1. I definitely want to pay the track a visit, been added firmly to my "must do" list.
  2. Been the last 2 years and seen faces dotted around various bars and restraunts all around, but never found a "hub" where most people were speedway fans. Back again this year, thursday night is now traditionally Jeff's diner night, American diner, polish beer, and live band playing on top of the bar. Ridiculously cheap as well, I think we tipped as much as our bill last year......
  3. What condition is the stadium in, could it could an SEC round or big international fixture currently? Looks a fun venue to visit, the sort of place you make memories of sleeping in strangers car boots and the like.... very much has the feel of the locations you find banger/stock car tracks on the continent.
  4. But any additional meetings, cup ties, playoffs etc are included. So in a successful season you can actually make massive savings.
  5. I dont think it particularly negatively cambered these days anymore, but certainly would nt despute that the more chamber the better, at any track.
  6. Considering it was a working day and valentines day, the turnout was cracking. From Riders,Fans, ex riders, officials, friends, family, media. I left late afternoon but party in Danny's honour went on all night, just search facebook for some of the riders "singing" attempts at karaoke... lol sure Danny had a smile all day long.
  7. If Smolinski can be close to the pace consistency,he very much has the potential to fill the Nicki Pederson void. On paper not an exciting addition but certainly has the potential to cause some excitement on his day. Moving forward I would like to see an early season open to determine the last gp spot for that season. Gives somebody coming into form a bit of a chance. It would give 16 riders a massive early season meeting to prepare for and if marketed well and at a sensible venue could be instant massive crowd puller. 6 months off a bike means riders form can massively change from season to season, which I ve always felt some of the GP spots should be decided in the early season of the current gp year.
  8. You have said multi things including not graded enough, not enough material, you dont need lots a material. Atm your just a pseudonym with contradictory opinions.
  9. And quite a large list of (visiting) riders have named it as thier favorite track. Including the busiest man in speedway last year Ellis Perks, so I ll take the riders opinion and not some nameless stranger on a forum.
  10. Think he is out for the start the season, thinking was in the star i read that the Cubs have 7 of their 12 fixtures before the end of April so they dont start the CL season till the twins turn 16 and he will miss all of those at the very least.
  11. I can imagine a facility where Danny's race jacket is not used for a month and covered by RR as a mark of respect would be allowed, and even the most anti Godfrey fans surely couldn't find fault in that?

  14. I think now the pricing and fixture list appears sorted, I d imagine normally you can pick them up from the stadium office, or at P and P.
  15. Visit the kent kings webpage tomorrow, as I believe all the details will be available then. If you need further assistance just ask.
  16. I will let you know when prices have been released. I believe in the past you could do it a few different ways.
  17. Prem - Bewley Championship - Gilkes National - Ablitt and Mulford
  18. I remember last winter Lee Kilby saying the track was getting done last year and then the back straight stands done this winter (seem to recall the ready made stands in storage in Wales cropping up again.) And the home straight being next winter. Is that still the plan?
  19. Steve Rees seems cautiously optimistic about taking the cars back, if that happens I would imagine adding speedway would be the logical next step.
  20. Basically the club print thousands if posters brochures and fixture lists, and us fans distribute them around local tourist spots, libraries, work places, schools etc.
  21. I think in a nutshell your post says everything about Danny Ayres the man.
  22. I thought the whole idea of Visa's (in general not just speedway) was that to qualify for one. You had to be highly qualified and that your not taking a job from an equally qualified native? I know this applies in many sectors, how do the Visa's work for speedway riders? I ve seen it quoted that different riders have different conditions etc.
  23. The away season ticket discount, and the 10 home meeting ticket are both ideas I ve read online and have fed back to Graham Darling, so hopefully both schemes will be used at Kent.
  24. I dont believe they have worked out the admission costs yet, I did ask the commercial manager whether we would sign up. He said they would look at this once that was confirmed and announced. But I certainly dont think they have ruled out joining it.
