  1. I applaud your sentiment but fear you may be whistling in the wind.
  2. I need an English translation of the English translation . Oh well, certainly no Emil in the GP next year
  3. Morrissey Fan...Assuming your'e not a total tw*t, an apology might go some way to redeeming yourself.
  4. Very sorry to hear of Reg's passing. I remember him well from my days watching West Ham and Wimbledon in the mid-60's One of those riders who were the mainstay of many a team.
  5. I hope you are right Philip. Tai needs to get in to the SEC though if BV want to stage a round.
  6. Robert, if that is his real name must be lying back lapping up all this speculation. How amazing that one unsubstantiated claim can garner so much attention. He will be having a web page all to himself soon.
  7. Should want to...yes, Does want to...it seems not.
  8. Once again, thanks. Interesting format and 6 in a race makes for some fun. Quite how Pavlic won given there were GP riders competing (he did win did he not?)...I was all at sea what with it being in Czech!
  9. I have tried making sense of the scoring formula using Wiki but it sure is complicated.
  10. Pity about Innsbruck. My brother-in law was getting me a programme and some memorabilia as they live there.
  11. I've not heard of tarts kickers Prior to Emil's injury a couple of season's back he was flying in the GP's and I for one expect he would have made World Champion that year. Had he been in the GP's this year I believe he and Tai would have been the top 2. In any sport a competitor can only compete against the people put in front of him, and that goes for Emil as well as Tai. We will never know if Emil would have won this year, neither does Tai but neither were given the chance to find out. The series is diminished without the best riders taking part so by extension the winner's achievements are diminished (slightly). It follows therefore that Emil's 2 European titles are (slightly) diminished by Tai's absence from the series. To be considered the best one has to beat the best and as, in my opinion, Tai and Emil are the joint best both should be in both series. In that way both World and European Championships (and champions) are enhanced.
  12. Not only is it good sense to learn from past mistakes, it is equally good sense to learn from past successes. One is left with the feeling those running British speedway have done neither.
  13. 1) Fans of my generation who were weaned on speedway at Custom House and Hyde Road know a race track when we see one. The SEC and tracks like Ostrow have the edge over GP's at tracks like Cardiff...for me anyway. 2) I don't pretend to know what's going on with Emil, his advisers, the Russian Federation or the GP organisers, but the series without Emil is a travesty. Absolutely no disrespect to Tai or Greg, but winning the World Championship when the double-European Champion and arguably the world's best rider is not competing slightly diminishes the achievement...for me anyway.
  14. Pretty good race track for the fast riders to show what they can do.
  15. I knew it...you are robert72 in disguise.
  16. Well done Emil and I should think Lindbaeck has booked his 2016 GP place too.
