  1. I shall be gracious in defeat if I am proved wrong my friend. Would not do if we all felt the same would it?.
  2. Too many variables over a 12 series Championship to lay out cash, but if all 15 compete in all 12 whilst fully fit I'd still back KK.
  3. It would be quite nice to have 1 great club in the capital...or just one club. How can we call speedway a National sport when 8,000,000 people don't have a club to support.
  4. This is a guess as I have not looked up any records but I would say Craven. Had he not met such a tragic early end I feel he would have been a multiple world champion al la Fundin.
  5. I take it you are a Swindon supporter. Some great riders in the 60's there my friend.
  6. Not good my friend...absolute topdrawer all of them.
  7. If West Ham beat Chelsea and Arsenal over the Christmas period I shall be in permanent Panto mode. Was it not 3 Long Tack and 6 Speedway?.
  8. i PREFERRED TO WATCH BRIGGS OVER MAUGER ANY DAY, BUT YOU CAN'T ARGUE WITH MAUGER'S RECORD. Sorry about the caps...pressed wrong button.
  9. At least we should be able to see most of them in SEC 2015. I for one enjoyed last year's series more than some of the GP's.
  10. Two European Champions and a rider who was magic in the final SEC round, all missing from the GP series. Our loss I think.
  11. I get the feeling CHR and WK are morphing in to the Two Ronnies.
  12. Getting in to the Christmas Panto spirit...OH NO you CAN'T!.
  13. If Holder is truly back to his best and riding with 100% confidence then 10/1 is a good bet.
  14. Now that's what I call a true Speedway fan...much respect.
  15. Look at the teams Belle Vue had in the olden days, not to mention the track!.
  16. Wish I could afford to buy Speedway Star!. I think the first copy I bought was 1/3. That's 6p. to you youngsters..
  17. To be fair, Sweden was strong back in the day though the top Swedes still rode in Britain. It just emphasises my point though about the decline of "top level" speedway in Britain. We may have more teams now than 50 years ago but we don't have the strength or the variety. In my opinion of course.
  18. It is hard to believe and even harder to remember that once upon a time, if a rider wanted to reach the top and stay at the top, he had to ride for a British side. If this was the 1950's/60's and Poland were dominant, would we see Briggs, Moore, Fundin, Mauger etc. etc. riding for British sides?. I count myself lucky to have seen my speedway in the 60's and 70's as today's elite League does not compare with the old British League. Do Polish fans realise how lucky they are I wonder.
