  1. Lakeside's team tonight would get beat by Plymouth. Poor show....but will still be routing for them.
  2. Well at least this is far more entertainment than reading anything else on this thread as it's such a foregone conclusion as far as a match even though it's irrelevant to the topic.
  3. BWitcher, please can you stop constantly whining about people walking away from the sport and Poole scamming continously because this is not the case as you have no evidence. Whilst I believe a punishment should be handed out to Poole if in fact this ruling is true, but in truth we are going on hearsay and noone has actually provided any evidence that the injury most be 'long term' so if you can put your energies into finding that rule because that SCB rule website is dreadful and is like finding gold nuggets. Poole have not scammed in any other way so far and only this one maybe the only one but to harp on about the credibility of the sport is tiring reading because I know real speedway fans go and watch their club, have a cheapish night out for some entertainment, watch their home team win or lose and go home. The credibility of the sport has been the same for the last 25 years in my opinion. Sure, crowds have gone down but only due to the increasing prices and the top rider demands but speedway is still going strong and if you think a few loopholes being exploited and a few teams breaking the odd rule here and there are going to affect crowds, then you are barking up the wrong tree in my opinion. Only a few rule sticklers maybe disgruntled but their passion at wanting teams to play fair is still not enough to stop going and watching their favourite team every week and the odd comment on the forum of, I am fed up with speedway is replaced by a single man who went speedway and begins a family who he decides to take to speedway as well. Like he cares about the difference between a club using a slightly better guest for an injured rider. Poole have not scammed with Pedersen or the Lindback average but this is a rule that needs to be clarified and I would expect the chairman to act. If not, I won't lose sleep over it as I am a neutral and want to see great speedway between two world class lineups and preferably full strength teams.
  4. I am not saying you can't have it both ways. I am simply saying in general from a common sense outlook is that you cannot say a World Champion deserves a lower average than a rider who is currently ranked 8th in the standings whose last average was a 5 for Belle Vue added to the fact he hasn't ridden on this shale in 10 years and people are harping on him being on a low average. Scenario - Jason Doyles rise has been quickly meteoric. If he had left the E.L for two years before he got to be a top rider on his 5.50 average he had attained and then Poole had signed him on that average whilst he was now worthy of 9+ rider, would you not think that was crazy. That's why all averages need to be assessed if a rider leaves the country for a season or more.
  5. Immature post. Even if this did happen, I bet Poole would still get more through the turnstiles watching them race each other then for a meeting like Scunthorpe v Leicester or Stoke v Lakeside. Anyway, all this fantasy talk will never occur.
  6. You still have no idea do you? Have you noticed how everyone is quiet on the subject or perhaps you would like to wager a John Leslie 'type' so called bet of 10k to the speedway benevolent fund. Judging from your postings, I would say the only time you saw 10k was yesterday on the Monopoly board.
  7. No. The rule has been broken. A rider can only be brought in into the playoffs only if the injured rider is ruled as a 'long term' injury. Lindback should not be riding if in the injury to Hans is short term and Hans was available to ride. The first leg should have been Andersen R/R. That's what I believed the rule was.
  8. Yes but your missing the point. The point is when was that full season. Lets talk about common sense for a minute. Tomasz Gollob was complained about by many fans when the World No 2 was given 7.50 average and rode a 9 + average back in a more difficult Elite League. Now I would have set Antonio's average at 7.50. His last average at Belle Vue was somewhere near the 5 mark. With your logic of Woffinden he should have been given that average. It doesn't matter if the rider has missed a year or 10 years and what his average was. A rider should be assessed if they have missed any season. Are you telling me that Lindback should have been given a higher average than Woffinden just because he has missed 10 years and Woffinden has missed one regardless of World Rankings, CMAs abroad etc. Personally that is a biased opinion. Regardless of all this, I find it like this league is being used.
  9. But still not as daft as the World Champion coming in on a 7.03 average. A rider can vastly improve in two years so all averages should be assessed for riders who have missed one season.
  10. This is totally wrong and should not be allowed to be gotten away with although this is a difficult one because the injured rider's so called long term injury has proven short. Now if I was the BSPA chairman, I personally think this would be wrong to let slide and I would consider these options. 1) Pooles No 5 for the rest of the season should be R/R 2) Pooles No 5 for the rest of the season should be no rider and rides can only be taken by the minimum of 3 reserve replacements. 3) All points scored by Antonio Lindback should be deducted from the first meeting and Poole should have to ride R/R for the remainder of the season. 4) Antonio's points deducted and a no rider scenario at No 5 covered by the minimal 3 rides at reserve. What would everybody choose because I think these would be four fair options. I would sway to No 2 or 3 as it is not entirely Poole's fault as they cannot stop the rider riding in Poland.
  11. In that case, do you care to explain the illegal rider situation that Kings Lynn have been using in regards to Huckenbeck and why your not on Kings Lynn threads constantly complaining about the legality of thier team. You can't have it both ways or your just biased against Poole.
  12. That's the typical kind of post I would expect from quite a few highly unintelligent posters on this forum. No debate or fact, just a stupid smarmy comment. Sums it up nicely. I feel sorry for Martin Hagon that he has you using his name as part of your avatar.
  13. He has to be a reserve or is this a post with the lowest form of wit being used i.e sarcasm.
  14. First off, everyone who called Starman names and insults about Wolves not being able to ride on Wedensday's should apologise to him if they have the slightest ounce of integrity. Secondly, do we have to put up with two more days of constant whining about Poole apparently cheating. So far I haven't seen much wrong although I would say that Andersen should not of rode...but IMO Lindback has scored 5 at Poole and I would be suprised if he scored what Hans Andersen has scored on average around Eolves this season, so it actually makes them weaker in this position. Cheating is done to benefit in competition and not the other way around. I still haven't really seen any advantage if Poole have supposedly cheated unless someone wants to name me one otherwise it's 20 pages of thoughtless posts.
  15. Wasn't that Newman and you don't sound too sure but you maybe right. Can anyone actually confirm.
  16. The other genunine answer is that knowing Matt Ford and his speedway hindsight and knowledge, surely it would make sense to ring up riders on a Friday like KK, Tungate etc and ask them if they would be available to guest if a Poole rider was injured in the GP, Polish meeting, Testimonial etc at the weekend. If I was a promoter, I would have covered every option beforehand. This could also be another reason why Kasprzak was not going to guest for Lakeside in the other semi. That is perfectly plausible. Whether it's the truth is another matter but Ford is very experienced and shrewd.
  17. This is what I was trying to say earlier but noone is listening or reading it but taking it in. I heard Tungate said last week he would be guesting for Pedersen as Pedersen and Newman were 50/50 to race 'tonight'. 'Tonight' as in the first leg but Pedersen and Newman were declared fit so Tungate was not needed. If Pedersen was 50/50 a week ago before the first leg and rode out of sorts in the first leg, he must still not have been 100%. Then he goes and crashes making himself 20% and unfit. The only question I have is, was his knee the issue when he was 50/50 which would coincide with this or was it something else which means he could be taking the biscuit. One of you Poole fans must know? Or I have totally got the wrong end of the stick and what I heard, read and was told was incorrect.
  18. Track is like that anyway isn't it? Peter Karlsson has passed more riders on that inside corridor than I have passed lorries on motorways.
  19. Don't be silly. Why would you want to put any facts out there in front of this bitter lot? Can't let the facts get in the way of them screaming 'Cheats' and 'He is faking it ' etc etc.
  20. I am not really the fatherly type to be having that quiet talk with you about the birds and the bees and making it through puberty etc. There are plenty of councillors and teachers for that kind of thing who get paid good money for that and it's not my style.
  21. Actually just looking at your post again, I was thinking is that how cheap it is to get in at Wolves now and I thought surely not meaning you are either an OAP or a child. I would guess the latter by your earlier comment. It's no wonder that people saying this country going down the pan when we have the youth of today wanting speedway riders to break their legs. Too many violent games on his Magnavox Oddysey no doubt.
  22. Good job too. If any riders let alone Poole's were knew you were going and who you were you would probably have the broken legs.
  23. No I honestly heard he was reported 50-50 along with Kyle Newman for the first leg. I definitely did not imagine it and this is why this original post has confused me. Perhaps, Pedersen has been 50-50 for a few weeks now and he gave it a go in the first leg but he definitely looked out of sorts in the meeting. If Poole wanted to strengthen, surely a fit Tungate outscores an unfit Pedersen even round Poole but away from home even more so I believe. Sorry Hammer and Aces fans for hijacking the thread.
  24. I think your right and I have missed the point. I thought it was a reference to guesting for Pedersen in the first leg as Tungate was expected to ride because was it not Bjarne and Newman who were 50-50 the night before the Poole leg but both were fit and Tungate was not needed. Like I said, I don't live on the forum as have better things to do and I am a neutral fan who just enjoys good speedway. So Pedersen wasn't fit after that night and Tungate was booked for the Monday. Very odd. Doesn't look good on Poole but hopefully the rain intervenes and we have a true run meeting with two fit sides next week.
