But you could do with the same with pm's through this forum, emails, text or phone call. Even WhatsApp has more credibility being a bit more personal so I don't have to see random pictures of abused animals which to be honest rather upsets me. Like you say, each to their own. @Lisa collette. You could buy a Speedway Star.

That's a fair point and I you are right as statistically he has improved his average by a point. I was probably hoping he would have come on in leaps and bounds like Steve Worrall or Adam Ellis but like Kyle Newman he is learning a lot and hopefully both riders next season will take it to a new level. -

You are quite right but it is an opinion but it is a negative opinion in my view. In my opinion Jason Garrity hasn't improved this season after being in the British Final last year and still looks a little wild on the bike, but I am not going to say he has peaked or gone backwards and still is a talent. Jason Doyle is probably a prime example of having a few seasons for a while at reserve where he had to figure a lot out and now he is probably the best rider in the world at the moment. Tony Rickardsson also took time to bloom as did Hans Nielsen. Speedway is just one of those sports that is easy to learn but takes years to master and you don't know who will do great and who will be good. I expected Lewis Bridger and David Howe to finish a better rider than Tai Woffinden and there is still time for Bridger to do this and you can go further back to Mark Loram and John Louis who were a class act after lots of dedication to get it right. All the British riders still have time and hopefully injuries will stay away. -
So what stands out for you as a rider being very unlucky in a meeting. Perhaps Dave Jessup losing a World Title by an engine failure. Or did you witness an opposition rider fall off 4 times in a meeting. Or even your captain consistency just had one of those days which he will always want to forget.

I must be honest and say I am not on Facebook and I even find this forum sometimes hard enough to stomach with all the rubbish written. I haven't got time for people telling me about what people spread on their toast in the morning or if they lost 2 pounds going to a Slim Fast class.

I get a little annoyed with these posts of negativity. Didn't people moan at Poole for a few years for not having any young Brotish riders at all. Then Poole bring through Kyle Newman and bring in another rider Adam Ellis and both have been slated one way or another on this forum usually by anti Poole posters. Putting Poole aside, we should be getting behind young British riders. As for Newman has peaked, I think beating a GP rider and No 1 around his home track which he has known for years in a pressurised last heat decider for a point is a pretty impressive peak if you ask me. And for a conference rider to be averaging around 7 on a track he is riding in his first full season speaks high volumes. If anything, with all the moaning about the Elite League being weak blah blah is all negatives why don't we look at the positives for British riders Joe Jacobs is scoring regularly at Belle Vue as is Max Clegg at Wolves. I expected little from these riders at the start of the season but fair play to the clubs for sticking by them and fortunately it is certainly helping these riders progress and is looking more positive for British riders in the future instead of certain foreign riders who would come over here for a bit of cash, do half a season and then disappear. I would rather the league be slightly weaker if this was always the case because at least, I could remember and follow a dedicated home rider. -
Well I am a man of my word who did say in another thread that I would apologise to Gavan and chris4gillian if they were not the same person. Bearing in mind, I still have no technical proof and you could all be being bribed or could be into some kind of conspiracy cover by Gavan/chris4gillian, I will go with the odds on this one that state a personal apology to Gavan and one to Chris4gillian. I cannot believe people look each other up on this forum on Facebook or whatever. Some people are really into all this on this forum, when I came here to chat speedway since I thought this was a speedway forum and not some kind of Come Dine with Me rubbish.

Have to agree with here and waihekeaces1 posts. If it works well and isn't broke, it's best not to fix it. Would also agree it looks a little silly having an 8 point finisher win the final and not being more rewarded. 6-4-2 for the final is ok in my opinion. As long as the GPs don't go back to end of the last century where riders were going home after two rides is all I care about. Dreadful rules back than.

I have no idea why you are being rude to me as I don't know you. I can report you if you like for the insult if you want to make it personal or you can contribute a post that would equate to this forum and not the junior forum. It's Joe or you can call me Joseph and maybe you didn't typo? Your in the GP bookies competition aren't you? Good luck.

Mick? I think you must have made a quote typo. Cheers Joe

Pot, kettle and black with a two word statement. Want to talk speedway now or play the unfunny wannabe joker. I would rather you talked speedway, if I am being honest with you.

I've only just come back on here from three pages ago and really am none the wiser after my post on Tai has been swallowed up by the classic game of 'Guess Who'. All I know is that Gavan has posted his private life which noone needed to know amyway as this still doesn't prove anything because chris4gillian has mysteriously disappeared. For the record, if they are or aren't the same person but I would guess they aren't now, I really couldn't care anymore just like I couldn't care about what job Gavan's father did. Pointless waste of bandwidth and has nothing to do with the topic of Tai Woffinden. Maybe I should just talk about my dentist and barber as it seems to get more opinion than my speedway post. This forum is turning into that Big Brother rubbish.

So trying to get back to the debate without all the insults and childish name calling, what would you do if you were Tai. Let this blow over because he is always going to be loved for his GP exploits, his amazing talent on the bike and his charity work and ignore the team GB situation. Or should he release a statement explaining what is going on here. I think the first option comfortably should win here. What would be interesting to know is if the US team and Greg Hancock are in the same boat, percentage wise as the GB team or if Greg suggested to the team a while ago, what Tai supposedly suggested. Maybe Tai got it from Greg but this is a pure guess but you never know. Now that is a good shout. That definetly doesn't look good if you don't know you live in a city or a town. Well noticed and someone could be telling a few pork pies.

Right let's try and get some truths out there. As a neutral, I don't know any of you and don't know Steve Shovlar. To me his posts are as valid as anyone even your own even though I do disagree with more your posts than his but that doesn't matter in this case. Had you typed out exactly what Steve had said in his post as descriptive as it was instead of saying 'No' or 'Prove It', then I would have believed you. I don't care for the poster or the source, I am clearly looking at the post and was it plausible. The fact is that Tai does obviously not want to bring this into the open and did he not mention about not getting 'mugged' off no more. Than this story sort of fits if I was an average detective. But it's worth taking several things into account here: 1) Usually, 'sources' and chinese whispers do end up the with the real story being slightly altered or even quite a bit altered but I am still willing to bet about 50% of the story being true due to it being very plausible until Tai himself releases anything which he doesn't have to do as it's none of anyone's business. 2) I don't understand what is wrong with keeping this a secret if this is close to the story. The same three people of Gavan, chris4gillian and Bwitcher stick up for Tai regardless but does asking for a bigger percentage and being paid by the point just like in league racing, so much of an issue to say 'he is in a bad light'. Personally, I think there is nothing wrong and to be fair he is the World Champion and he is a clear level above the British riders. Now whilst it may have always been this way with percentages in the past this clearly needs reviewing as one rider is clearly carrying the team. I think if the BSPA could drop the old rule and negotiate to a points percentage etc, I think Tai could ride again. This is why the reason is quite plausible. 3)If this story is completely false what else could it be why a rider who has happily represented his team leave and I don't buy this Aussie rubbish.Wasn't the statement 'mugged' off used (apologies if this was not stated)? The possibility is that Tai obviously asked for a demand of some kind that the BSPA would not issue. If it isn't financial, then would we be coming back to the why Scott Nicholls, Rob Lyon and others are not happy with the effort being made in someway by the BSPA. Now the year before, Tai stated on TV that he really wanted to talk to the BSPA immediately now after the 2015 W.C and stated he was eager to really work with them and stated things needed improvement he would consider leaving. Now improvements must have been made as Tai was more than happy as even was Scott Nicholls to offer his services to the 2016 W.C squad so that was great news for the fans. Now obviously Tai has thought he could try again, but this time been knocked back so this isn't the first time he had threatened to leave the squad. The problem is, having threatened and won before, it was sooner or later that he would threaten leaving again and even if whatever had been agreed to he may have threatened in the future with another demand and probably walked away. Regardless of all this, I really like his passion, drive and you cannot question his heart and to be honest for example if I sold 16 caravans and a work colleague sold 1 and I was getting paid the same money and no commision, I would be peeved off too and I don't blame Tai at all if this is true. I would rightly ask for commission. Anyway like I said, I am just pointing out the plausibility of the situation and what was said and what wasn't said and if I have said anything incorrect, I apologise but this is only what I have read or seen. So Who Is Going To Win The El In 2016?
Joe Beevers replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
After last night, Belle Vue still favourites with Poole probably now neck and neck with Wolves as joint second favourite. Hard to gauge anything from last night as Poole were missing half a team and their best rider on the night was a Belle Vue rider supposedly struggling for form. I think Poole have yet to show their cards yet with their playoffs lineup but Wolves are still looking strong with Woffinden and Lindgren probably improving playoffs time but the Aces have still beaten both teams away and on their day are the team to beat. I hope all three teams stay injury free from now as it is a fascinating Elite League this year. And you cannot rule out Swindon either. -
As I said in my earlier post, it's alright for people to say 'Oh no he didn't' to Steve Shovlar's well worded and believable stance from his source but noone is saying in a well documented and believable response from their own source, what really did Tai say. I am a neutral and not sticking up for anyone as I have disagreements with all the posters in the past who have so far claimed they had a source that Tai said this. But if I was a judge analysing this, Steve Shovlar's post and source is currently more worthy than any other response so far. I think this financial situation if true is sort of fascinating.
-
Interesting after reading the last 20 pages that all the usual posters except for John Leslie/Darcys Onion are here argueing over if they like Tai or not and the same debates as before and as usual Sidney the Robin throwing personal insults at posters. It is like Deja Vu to the other Tai thread that had 200 posts. Regardless, I can see how Steve Shovlar's source could be correct on this matter and that would make a lot of sense why he hasn't spoken out about the matter. In regards, to your source chris4gillian, you cannot really say my source said otherwise without actually saying what your source says in regards to the whole situation. If that makes sense. Say what your source has exactly said why Tai Woffinden has fallen out with Team GB because disagreeing with a completely understandable and very probable theory that Steve Shovlar gave in depth in his post just doesn't cut the mustard with me, I am afraid unless you can give a more detailed view instead of 'Oh no, he didn't ' Having heard Steve Shovlar's source evidence on this one, I don't really know what to say in regards to right or wrong. Principle is wrong but I could understand Tai outscoring everyone by 12-15 points for the next 5 years and financially you would feel a bit disappointed if your team wasn't matching that. But in everyday jobs, this happens a lot but speedway isn't your everyday job so I don't really know what to think.

So Who Is Going To Win The El In 2016?
Joe Beevers replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well after the last few nights result, I would probably have: Belle Vue as favourites followed by Wolverhampton and Poole. Poole would have drawn perhaps lost tonight because Hans Andersens scores in recent weeks wouldn't have matched Kasprzaks paid maximum tonight and Belle Vue would win over the two legs unless Poole swap things around. Having said that, Belle Vue like the Wolverhampton track but Tai Woffinden seemed unbeatable in the World Cup at Belle Vue so it's very close but I think Brlle Vues reserves and second strings have something in hand over Wolverhampton. -
High Noon. Belle Vue V Poole Ela. 29/08/16.
Joe Beevers replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Have to agree. A tooth abcess and real tooth pain is probably the most lengthy and worst pain I have ever had. At least a broken bone is pain for a short while and it can't affect you as mentally as tooth pain. Well done to Belle Vue but with Poole only losing by 8 and with a B match to follow they may still be in this title race yet although I think looking at the form of the 3 sides, the Midlanders are going to be very difficult with two Grand Prix stars. Sounded like a good meeting. -
Peterborough Panthers 2016
Joe Beevers replied to mudflaps's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
That team surely beats Leicester at home. How on earth is Kenneth Bjerre an 8.22? Was that his last average that in the Elite League? Fair play to tactful management but on paper, all they need is Daniel Halsey to be replaced by Jonas Kylmakorpi and they could challenge for Elite League honours. A little odd.
