George i think is the dark horse for the club, he will really be out to show people what he can do, he also has been to most of the tracks now so should have a better idea of whats going to happen when he gets there. Jake knight i also think he is the one to watch just hope he can last a full season if not Spiller the thriller will be back,

Strudwick has done his time at Eastbourne, cant see why after winning the 3 cups and going on with the party that Niall did anything other then be ready for the party, Niall is the ultimate perfect speedway rider he informs his fans media and sponsors well thats because he does no racing so he had the time to do all the media. I have to say i am not a Strudwick fan but i give him 100% for trying and doing what he is doing but time has come to look into the mirror and say hey look i am never going to make it and look at getting a place within the club and push the club by media.

Your right Teaboy its only your opinion, I know the gentleman that was having a heart murmer and he was fine a few weeks after the event thats why i was able to have a laugh about it, Maybe Teaboy you should sit back and see what happens in the real world, Maybe you will see that things happen for a reason. But as i said i was only joking because as i know the outcome of it and i know for a fact that you dont know this gentleman as i know who you are and the gentleman concerned and he does not know you. Keep your eyes and ears open as i am around all the time and have seen as many meetings and goings on as kent as you have "wink wink"
-
Did they guy in the crowd have a heart problem as he saw a pass at kent lol, Only Joking as i once myself saw a pass at kent way way way back when they didnt have the black line around the inside, Lol

Neck Braces have changed now from what they were, many of them are much lighter and they fit better then then early ones, 1000s of motor cross riders use them and i have to say when you ask any of the Eastbourne riders did they notice if they had them on they would all come back and say no they dont. Brad has his new one on at Rye House he ended up on the other side of the fence by going over the top, His neck brace was broken where it was designed to break but he was ok with no injury to his neck, a very lucky young man. I rather have a neck brace on and be a little bit restrictive then being in a wheel chair thats for sure. Not all riders wanted to use kevlar suits but they had to because they were safer then the nylon ones being made.
-
Have to say i agree with the injury from as we all suffered it from all directions last year, but hands up to Eastbourne and the paying public they all dug deep and the team all ended up with the a neck brack. Speedway is a tough sport but a neck brace is so important and i think silly little things like pitmats being the wrong size or not allowed to have a undersuit made out of nylon, all the C**P about that why not make it safer #43. Best rider in the world like Darcy ends up in a wheel chair, Sad days, Danny Warrick was also close to a big problem so come on BSPA look at it make the riders wear a neck brace or an Air Jacket.

Spot on there is nothting like a club that has had a bad run for what ever reason, Its good to keep clubs in the running to make the top 4 and then get the rewards in crowds, every club has a chance, there is nothing to say that if the reserves do well after practice on the home track, and step up the game they will start the season with a false average, this would mean that if young Dugard needs to fill a gap in then he can. i hope i am right with all the rules, thats as long as the average is higher then what his finish average was, i think was a 4.9 wouldnt take much to get that from the reserves.

Eastbourne Eagles 1. Kyle Hughes 8.67 = 8.80 2. Richard Andrews 5.18 = 6.30 3. Jake Knight 6.00= 7.93 4. Georgie Wood 5.90 = 6.30 5. Ben Hopwood 8.00 = 8.40 6. Nick Phillips 3.00 = 4.80 7. Charley Powell 3.00 = 4.70 start total 41.68 my guess = 47.23 Looks like a good side to me if they all step up and some will go out the ball park, Seen Ben Hopwood training and he looks the fittest i have ever seen him, roll on March also with Eastbourne only allowing practice for team members as it was last year will give them a good start to the season.
-
Smart looking team, Seems again the season will start with a lot of unknown facts as where we end up but i have to say i think its going to be a good year, Saturday nights will work well so lets get behind the team.

I have not seen the line up but are they divided up into divisions or is it just a full on handicap meeting. Kennett and so on all ride in the big meetings out there, those meetings are like a GP in the USA all the top stars, But like you said a lot of riders would love to swap places with Niall. But i guess if you have nowhere to ride in the UK you may as well look at the bigger picture and ride else where, USA, USA, USA.
-
Strudwick is in the USA, he has gone out there to ride and see if he can mix it up with them, America run 3 different levels of racing, division 1, being the better one and 3 being the lower one, i think that Niall should be in division 1 in the meeting that will show you that the standard of racing, one of the Dugards went to the states a few years ago and he went on to win the division 3 meeting and he has never raced a bike before. So lets see how Niall does wish him all the Luck i would hope with the standard out there that he should be in the top 3. you can follow him on Twitter

I think Reade had stopped because he broke an ankle while racing for stoke, so even a better reason for having stopped but could play into the Eagles books as his younger brother will be ready to race during the 2016 season, i guess everyone thought it was going to be the spiller boys but maybe its going to be Reade and Breanan, both with the same mum and English, took a bit of time for me to think of this one. oh i am good 7.70 i think was his last average with a bit of a reduction might get it down to 7.50 and a 3 pointer leaves 6.6, hope someone from the club reads this as i could be onto a winner.
-
I dont think its a bad team at the moment, only 4 members from last year made the end of the season due to injury. as long as they say injury free i am sure they will be in the top 4 at the end of the year, where i can see that the spiller boys will be ready if needed and fingers crossed i am sure there is a whole team of riders who are waiting on the side lines to step in and help out if needed, and like you said before Ben91 changes will be made. I heard a rumour that Ben Reade from Stoke was coming back on a lower average.

Hurry on an CMA of 8.00 and then Powell on 3.00 and then a 6.1 for the last rider would be nice to play with Cottham maybe but might leave us a little bit low what about Marc Owen ?
-
Cant see how Cradely won the track of the year? Eastbourne was there for the KO Cup final and the meeting should not have started as the track was so bad, they then took the top layer off and delayed the meeting by an hour and the track was not a lot better, but i guess thats why they won the track of the year for no unknown reason, might be because Peter Morris is the only track he went too? complete joke. I think the refs need to get a bit closer to the sport not sit up on the high and mighty stall, i think its all a con and corruption with in the BSPA and the SCB, your face fits you get what you want and even worse with Keith Chapman at the helm.
-
Maybe he is going to have Brads bikes as i know that the Club provided him with bikes at the start of the year, good investment if its true. makes the team strong now just missing the big link just one more heat leader, Paul Hurry maybe?
-
well well well, damm i didnt have him on my radar as i though he had given up and taken this year out. what a great signing at 6 points mmmmm i think his average will go up at least a point and a half with some help. Another good singing by the Eastbourne Team. Worried that i have not heard much about Richard Andrews. http://www.eastbourneeagles.co/news.php?extend.889.1
-
What about Paul Hurry i heard they they got a lower average on him at 8.5 is that true can we fit him in as he goes well around the big one and little ones also local and good on the back wheel he cant do a one handed wheelie as his arm is broken arm thats now ok is too short lol. Good to see a local lad back, Hurry and Cottham maybe?
-
Not a bad team but really needs to be a rider who can ride the bigger tracks, Eastbourne can look after themself at home with that team also on the little ones so i guess we should have good results at Buxton ,Rye House, Kent, possible Wolverhampton, Could be Lucky at Birmingham but need to win away at places like kings lynn, IOW, Birmingham and i think you need a special rider thats a surprise, Someone who is on a lower average who is a young brave and has some guts about him. I have a few guesses with my partner and i think i know who is
-
We need a top rider to go in the team, how about giving us a clue how far away does he live from Eastbourne, its not Dave Mason back in the side?
-
I know who it is it must be Ryan Terry-Daley. As that might not be a good move, you say he is good at wheelies or is he so bad he should be in a wheelie bin? OMG its not Danny Vergile?
-
If the spiller bothers have to sign to say they will ride for Team GB even though they have all have a British Passport to allow them to ride in this league that must go for Perks too? So he cant ride in the Aus championships or rep resent Aus if he wanted too. Seems a real silly rule to me but thats what i heard from the meeting yesterday.
-
HA HA HA HA HO HO HO now thats funny well done gee jay looking at the other side of the coin, maybe we could put in a request for Cardiff to be made as big as Berwick.
-
Heard that Kelsey has got a place which is good news for him as it was looking as if it was not going to happen for him at one stage, I guess he got his wish to move away for a year and i hope that he will take his time and see whats going on around him. Hopwood 8.00 Andrews 5.2 Wood 5.9 Danno 3.00 Powell 3.00 Greenwood 8.29 Hazeldean 6.00 Total 39.39 Swap the Danno and Powell for the Spiller Brothers but i did hear that somene now sign a letter to someone to say they would represent GB not sure if was the Club who had to sign it or the rider, Cant see that under the age of 18 they can do that as i am sure it cant be legal, Another way of Speedway shooting itself in the foot, If Spiller lived in the Uk and did meetings in Germany at the weekendswould someone ask for the same to be done. I dont think so. Love saturday night speedway gives me and the kids a lay in on Sunday.

Well Well Well 40 points is great means there are enough riders to go around with the points limit lifted, happy to see new team in the League and i am looking forward to going to both venues, I have to say i am happy with Black and White helmet colour out the window as i would hate to think that someone as good as Ellis in heats 13, (heat 14 black and white) heat 15 could come and turn you over by 2 points. Eastbourne is what they call a trick track but got to say they are not going to change it so we have to put up with it, Likes of Mildenhall and Buxton and kent last year would have something to play for if it was the play offs, you need to sell every meeting to the public. If your unlucky to be at the bottom then its hard to sell anything but just a little bit of hope to get to the play offs is better then nothing. Think it was a good AGM but i have not seen anyway to save the clubs any money?
