  1. Not trying to discredit Rob. Think he is a far better rider than when he last rode for us. Just think we should stick with Simon at the moment. Would have been great if we could have had him as the 3 point reserved but as he has a PL average it was not allowed. Think the red tape and the 7 day rule regarding replacing 7 point assessed riders has got in the way. So now its watch this space till at least Friday.
  2. Ha Ha It was written months ago maybe he is available now for the rest of the season if he is either finished or has a break from his training. Still very early days in the league would not write any team off getting up to 6th place and the play offs. That includes Redcar with the correct signing/s. Do you know the pay rates being offered then??? In answer to your comment Bukhave's average (including B P) to 28th May is 2.35 in qualifying matches & there are 5 riders below him in the Premier league. Etheridge, Phillips, Ritchings, Bewley & Perks.
  3. Simmo it was you who brought up the topic of getting rid of Nielsen in a thread that is titled "who will replace Jacob Bukhave" not me. So i could not let it go with out a response. Yes everyone agrees Bukhave was a mistake (even Havvey I would think) but like many other clubs this year we have been caught by the new rules about getting rid of them. He took a risk with Jonas B Anderson last year and it has paid off. Lets hope that the replacement if and when it happens works out this time.
  4. Simmo you don't seem to give up on getting rid of Nielsen. Yes maybe we should have gone for two 6 pointer at the start of the season rather than a 7 & 4.38, but it did not happen so we have to move on. Nielsen has moved his average up from 4.38 to 4.53 this season so I would not get rid of him. Branford had a good meeting as a guest for us last week and we should bring him back into the fold at some time. One meeting does not prove he is better than Nielsen. He is below Ben Morely in the Rye House N L averages would you want him back if he was available to replace Nielsen. Jonas's brother would be a good bet I think. He did not have a good Silver Helmet meeting at our track last year but he was on borrowed machinery. He is having a good season in Europe this year so worth a try. Will come in on a 7 I believe so we would only have 0.59 left.
  5. Think Redcar only have 1 Brit + 4 Danes 1 Frenchman & 1 Aussie
  6. Redcars alternative race night is Friday and they are away to Somerset tomorrow and also at Ipswich on Saturday this week.
  7. Plus Bellego was also riding that night in a European qualifier. The home promoter has the advantage of having to offer dates to the away promoter and he would never offer 5th May with 4 riders not available. I would think he would have offered (as the Ipswich meeting was moved on 19th to accommodate the 2 L C rain offs) the 19th May and 2nd June to both Workington and Newcastle. Workington took 19th May. With it being a L C meeting Newcastle could not be left any longer than 2nd June due to the cut off which i think was originally set as 31st May.
  8. Who is Robbo in for. The Rebels web site shows Redcar brining their full team?
  9. Only for this season. Will be able to sponsor them for next season.
  10. Brian H. announced team changes (in the bar after the meeting) for when the new averages come out. So probably 1st June when Jacob will also have done his 4 home & 4 away qualifying meetings to get him an average also. So who do you think???
  11. You are correct I should have said that his average should be 5 as that is as low as he is allowed to drop to. How they have got away with getting him down to 3 I do not know
  12. Holubs has changed because Scunthorpe have had 4 official meetings both home and away so he has established an average. Which I assume must be under 3 so they have put him on the minimum you are allowed which is 3. Redcar have only had 1 home and 2 away official meetings so a long way to go before Buckhav gets to establish his own average.
  13. Theo's average way higher than Tero's. So he must be guesting for Steve Worrall, I'd guess? That will mean if Tero is out injured with an R/R in for him and Steve, Lewis and Robert are all riding in the King's Lynn V Belle Vue meeting that night the Diamond will have 4 changes from the weekend.
  14. Lets wait and see. A lot of unknowns in the Redcar team this year. With 2 coming back from injury and 2 who have not ridden the track competitively yet. Jonus B Anderson could be the ace card.
  15. Hope he rides the track better in black and white than he ever did in red and white
  16. The arbitration is all about the price. He will be going to Newcastle and they will have to pay what is decided and Redcar will have to accept that also. Time will tell. Brian says he has been trying lots of leads without success maybe he has tried most of your list and for whatever reason many of the names have had to refuse. Life is not as easy as think of a few riders and sign one.Think many of the promoters have had a hard time this season finding full teams. He is as big a risk as Jonas was last season and if he starts the season of the way he finished last season he should add at least a couple of points to his average.
  17. Think you will find that Brian Havelock has quite openly stated that he wants to name Kus in his team unlike Summers last year who was not in the 1 to 7. If the rider has put in a transfere request then if Redcar are to let him go that means a sale not a loan, If he does not want to ride for the club why let him go on a loan. Looks to me like Newcastle are tempting him with a slightly better deal, However he is a Redcar assett and they want him in their 1 to 7. In what other sport would a team be made to release an assett if they want to use him. No Bossman rules in speedway,. Dont know why Newcastle want him anyway have not seen him have a good meeting there over the years and he has said in the press on Teesside in the past that he does not like riding there.
  18. WHY???? Redcar want to use him he is their assett so why should Newcastle hold a grudge. If it he was a Newcastle assett I am sure they would take the same stance if the had a team place and wanted to use him. You can only see the argument from one side you need to think of the bigger picture. Why should a club be forced to sell a rider when they have ateam place for him.
  19. We have some strange ways of running things in Speedway. Redcar want to declare Kus in their 1 to 7, he is their asset and they want to use him. Why should this have to go to arbitration at the BSPA. he is not being denied an opportunity to earn a living in the premier league. In what other sport would you find a situation where a team wants to use their asset and they may be made to sell or loan him out. From what I have heard Newcastle want him on the cheap. Promoters are scouring the globe to fill the remaining places in our league and the few riders that fit the bill seem to be holding the promoters to ransom. Cannot think why Newcastle would want him anyway as when I have seen him ride there he does not seem to like the track and rides it badly. He will certainly earn more points money at Redcar. He may end up at Newcastle but I hope Redcar at least get a realistic price for him.
  20. Don't think you will get CVS travelling from the midlands every Thursday. Only comes up once or twice a season now.
  21. But he does hold the promoters licence
  22. Apparently Lasse was not only excluded wrongly in heat 15 but the same happened in heat one. Sounds like a bit of home bias by the ref.
  23. Would not have thought so. Travelling expences will be much more as Konopka is Teesside based when in uk & Morley from travels from south east. Plus Bears will have to pay a loan fee for Morely. Konopka is a Bears asset
  24. Apparently it was a Dane who may be heading to Peterborough and an Argentinian who may be heading to Berwick. Neither are heading to The Bears
  25. We have big changes at Redcar on Friday, after BSPA approval. Brian Havelock annouced tonight on BBCTees that one of the reserves will be dropped, Adam Roynon drops to reserve and a new unnamed (as yet) Dane comes in. Roynon looks to be going back to Peterborough at the end of the month. So there could be even more changes early July. Means we will have just under 8 points for the new Dane. As the changes will not take place till after the Berwick meeting it could be a good time for them to visit us at The Media Prima Arena
