  1. Would like to think we'll do well but think we shall lose; worky are good at home. can't help thinking with 4 riders doubling up plus there guest bookings that men and machine are getting tired, look at aaron last night. Must be difficult to juggle bookings and getting your engines serviced etc especially for young james who presumably won't be on the same points money as Nick, Richard and Aron. Add in the vendetta by refs on james and no wonder his confidence appears to be low. Just hope everyone returns safe and fit for the play-offs and cup final.
  2. I take it you mean our meeting against Rye House on 13th. any idea why and will they be allowed a guest.
  3. Well done diamonds; you rode sensibly at Glasgow, kept things tight and were rewarded by winning on aggregate. Hope the Glasgow fans added to your clubs finances - 2 full coaches and a good few cars, god its like the 70s all over again and the same result
  4. C'mon George, don't be cruel. we Al know that this is the 'year of the cat'
  5. I was just wondering is it ok to mention the Glasgow v Newcastle fixture on this thread. Glasgow deserved to win the meeting and in normal circumstances even the highly critical fans would be happy but in a 2 leg affair we sadly missed Vikter and Nemo. With normal temperature resumed the track held up well despite the early start with lots of fast times and a track record. although many fans like the 2 meetings in one day I've never been a fan. to many things can go wrong and also hosting the 1st leg puts more pressure on the riders and referee to get things finished quickly and with using r/r there is not much time to tweak set-ups change gearings etc. Hopefully everyone will be fit for Workington away and Rye House at home.
  6. Having sat back and read various comments, I may be in the minority but still can't believe Glasgow lost. Nick's crash followed by Richard's exclusion were the key moments. On the bright side we are highly unlikely to get another sunny, warm, windy day this year so the dusty/slick track shouldn't be a problem for forthcoming matches. and just to say the track was absolutely soaked prior to racing so don't think they could have put on anymore .
  7. Why has another thread been created theres one already?
  8. Weather forecast looking really good. all you need to know about tomorrow's match can be found here along with some smashing photos https://www.facebook.com/glasgowtigersspeedway
  9. he also helped stopPlymouth from getting an away point -bet Ipswich are happy
  10. So Edinburgh get beat after being unbeatable How long will it be before someone says they did it deliberately to try and stop Glasgow finishing second
  11. Should be a corker of a meeting Shaleshifter with the reserves perhaps being crucial. If Vikter continues his recent ashfield form tigers should win. You'll love the stadium - we can now call it a stadium lets be honest it was a derelict weed strewn dump before! Forecast is getting better light rain shower 10am sunshine at 1pm and cloudy at 4pm but as paulco says it will keep changing up until sunday morning. so since your on a tour anyway get along early and enjoy the food and drink and theres usually a singer or something on before hand.
  12. This realy was a thrashing. a puncture for Victor when miles in front in heat 2 otherwise he would have had a well deserved maximum. an Ef for our guest Josh who scored paid 9 from his other 3 rides and Aaron having bike problems in the last heat which also helped block Richard who was lining up to pass the impressive Anderson. so basically we were unlucky on the day sadly Redcar have had no luck recently with all there injuries but you can only beat whats in front of you and it was a big pay day for the home team. seemed to be a good crowd again with 100s of kids enjoying free entry and there race against Roary The riders are playing there part posing for photos and giving autographs and celebrating the win with wheelies and kozza style 'dancing'. only downside to these big crowds is you have to get in about an hour before the start to get a seat in the stand
  13. if the Whiches were to win would Glasgow have to play Ipswich or the select in the final

  15. Back to the Glasgow v Redcar fixture - I can see Kus up for this,Doolan (guesting) always gives 100% and no doubt Berge will get double figures So should be good match although Tigers to win. Hopefully a big crowd with U16s getting in free
  16. Thanks for the explanation. now understand the context of your previous post
  17. I take it everyone else can make sense of this and I'm the won that's thick?
