You are probably right. Can't understand why he appears to be Poole bound. Surely he would learn more - how to overtake experienced riders , how to use different lines, how to ride grippy tracks etc - by choosing a track other than Poole.

Did he have a Polish club when he signed?

Away meetings at Oxford, Poole and Workington were in the diary at the start of the season. They clashed with Villads Danish and Polish commitments. Next year when discussing fixtures at the start of the season we make it clear that we want to ride against Poole and Oxford when Denmark has their summer break - this has happened for many years now. At the time we did not know that Villads would be called up for SGP2 round in Denmark, the same way that we didn't know that Dan would end up riding in 3 of them. The same applies to the various U21, U24 meetings that sprung up to the detriment of British speedway - these affected Villads, Dan and Leon. You also can't legislate for injuries or the weather which also resulted in him missing meetings. Just imagine next year; hopefully we resign Bomber and then discover that the European/FIM authorities decide to organise an over 40s competition on Saturday nights at obscure tracks, will that be Bomber's/Glasgow Speedway's fault 🤔

Firstly congratulations to the Poole riders for winning the Championship. I've been intrigued over the season with many on here saying speedway's dying, there's no overtaking, only old folk go and every year there's less of them, promoters don't promote, etc, etc. Perhaps Poole fans can advise if their fan base is generally 40+ years old with few youngsters, or not. If it is could this be because kids find it boring for whatever reason which then doesn't bode well for the longer term future. On the other hand Glasgow has hundred of kids most weeks, normally when operating on a Friday night - see link Facebook Also with the kids wanting to go we have more fans in the 20-40 age group, so a potential longer term fan base who like to be entertained.

As has been said before he didn't have too many fixture clashes when he signed. He missed some additional meetings because of being called up to ride at U21 level, both his polish team and Glasgow having to race on days that weren't in the original fixture list and injury. If the league set up is the same next year, the fixtures could be arranged to minimise clashes e.g race Poole and Oxford on Wednesdays during the Danish break. He is a brilliant talent and the type of rider that puts bums on seats. I'm sure all Glasgow fans would want him back.

Seriously, so that suggests there are two of you quite a large percentage of the Monarchs support I'm sure you would agree that it was a great performance by the Tigers and great entertainment all round. On any other night, the result would have been brilliant, but in the end one bike failure cost us the aggregate win.

Just a reminder for those with short memories and /or little knowledge of Glasgow speedway 2025. Glasgow went for 7 UK born/based riders to minimise disruption to their team and fixtures. Sadly the signing of Ashton did not work out and they had to look for another 5.0 rider. The only option was to go abroad and we signed Villads. We knew that his Danish/Polish meetings would take priority but in theory that only meant probably missing an away fixture at Poole, Oxford and possibly Workington. In the end he missed 6 away meetings 3 of which were also missed by Dan. You can't legislate for riders being called up for FIM/European meetings, or Polish meetings being rained offf and being re-arranged, and/or being injured. He is an entertaining, popular young rider as is Dan and I'm sure all Glasgow fans hope they stay with the club and continue to provide entertaining racing both home and away.

Just popped on to see what my fellow Glasgow fans are saying about last night. Apart from numerous posts from one person there seems to few posts from other tigers fans. Lots of comments from other fans from other clubs. Can only assume BSN did really well from last night's stream. My thoughts, the Tigers riders tried their best, they haven't gated well all season, apart from Dan, so unlikely things would change last night. Can they win on Friday, yes. Can they win on aggregate, unlikely, but I'll be there to watch good racing in a good stadium with friendly, passionate fans. Also good to see the ref making the right call to exclude Tobias.

Do you really think this is an appropriate comment after what happened this evening?

Just been catching up on some of the comments particularly by non Glasgow fans, good to know you were concerned about the Tigers. Thought I'd just say well done to young Max Perry.
