  1. Lewi rode 13 meetings last season for Berwick. Averaged 5.83 at home from 6 meetings, and 8.00 away from 7 meetings. Should be your top scorer tonight you say.
  2. Looks like this will be a close one. I'd rather use R/R around the AFA, than the riders mentioned. Sheffield are up there, but all their meetings have been at home, apart from 1. Picko could be the difference for me. He's been nearly unbeatable in the Tigers 5 home meetings, averaging just under 11 inc bonus points. I think he scored 8 from 5 in his only away meeting, so hopefully we get the away Picko.. Klindt should comfortably out score Kerr at 6. But Leon Flint could well outscore Ashton at 7. Sedgmen will have a tough night I think. It's a tough one, but i'll go The Stars to lead early on, and the Tigers to tighten things up in the later stages, but Lynn to get over the line. 47-43
  3. I can't see us picking up many aggregate points this season, with our away form unfortunately. Winning most of our home meetings won't get us top 4 on it's own. We are 7 meetings in already, and our next 4 i think are, Sheffield Home, Brum A, Ippo H, Ippo A. This seasons averages, after 7 meetings. Harris (H) 8.67 (A) 4.21 Kvech H 8.00 A 4.76 Klindt H 8.00 A 5.00 Lawson H 6.15 A 6.60 NKI H 6.15 A 5.33 Cook H 2.29 A 4.00. Only 2 home and 2 away meetings for Ben. He's a lot better than that, and I hope he will get going when he's back.
  4. Can Lambo stop Dan tonight. I have my doubts. Would like to see Dan win, as he rides the UK.
  5. For me, the worst thing about British speedway on TV is the crowds. It's sad to see.
  6. He will probably be next, even though he started on 3.36, and has averaged 4.40 in his first 4 meetings. I can't see the attraction of riding for Poole myself tbh. Tick tock
  7. You have 5 riders going who are currently riding better than their average. I'm pretty sure Lewi will get going soon.. Feel a bit sorry for Marson myself.. Unless he asked to go. Riders GSA at the start of the season.. Averaging after the 1st 4 meetings Lawson 9.17 9.40 Cook 6.23 8.40 Rowe 6.11 8.47 Thomsen 4.41 5.07 Starke 3.36 4.40
  8. No pressure on these young ones
  9. I thought is was 40, according to Speedway GB. Unless i'm missing something.
  10. According to Speedway GB, Kerr rode 13 meetings in the Champ in 24. He averaged 7.09 in those meetings. But as you say his rolling average was higher. He came to Poole on 7.76.
  11. I'd give Lewi more time as well. He's started well for Sheffield, only 3 meetings, but averaging 6.91. Hes only 4 meeting in. He's averaged 8.00 for Poole at home, and 3.50 away, and he had bike trouble in 1 of them. So it's his away form that he needs to improve on. I'm pretty sure it will come. He averaged around 8 in the Champ away from home last season.
  12. You put pressure on ever rider from day one.
  13. It's a shame, but Ashton had this shutting off when things got close a lot last season as well. Obviously he and his team know the problem, and must be trying to fix it. But as i posted back in October, if he can't fix it himself, a sports psychologist might be worth a try. In his last home meeting, he won 2 races, and was buzzing going back to the pits. But he did run 2 lasts... He also was at the Young Stars meeting last week, so i think he still loves the sport, but is a young man very frustrated with himself at times. The longer this goes on, the harder it's going to be to overcome it. I don't like to drop a young local lad, but maybe stepping down from the Prem, and doing the Champ and NDL might help him re gain his confidence.
  14. I've heard it said that a daytime summer meeting, needs water the day before, and starting again at around 4am as needed on race day to keep the moisture in the track. Not an easy task to get in right i'd imagine.
  15. The track caught the Ippo boys out early doors, i'd say. Sounds like the track man was caught out by the weather as well, crap track apparently.
  16. Ippo will come on strong at the back end of the meeting for the win.
