  1. Hartel deserves a chance, but I would of probably gone with Spud Summers, who knows all the tracks from the off, and would be a a very solid reserve. Looking at the finished team, i'm not impressed tbh. TJ, Erik and Lewis averaged just 13.18 between them on the road, but a big 21.68 at home. What do they do... Keep them all. Replace MPT with Ty and bring in Hartel. Looks like they have no ambition at all. The engine room will be the problem again away from the AFA. Away from home, if Lambert and Cookie get 20 between them( they didn't last season), Erik, TJ and Lewis get last seasons 13, that's 33 from the top 5. Don't leave us much chance on the road.. again. Our top 2 are ok and the reserves should be ok, with scope to change if needed. For me it's the engine room again... I hope i'm proved wrong, but I was bang on before a wheel had turned last season, in saying the Stars will get nothing on the road. I will still go, pick n choose my meetings, and I wish them all the best. I'll try and cheer up by this evening
  2. Hope it's worth the wait So far we have last seasons second from bottom team, but have replaced MPT with Ty
  3. He is. I expect Hans and Bomber to put on around 2 points on their averages between them in 2020..
  4. Blimey, bit of a shock .Rode for every point. My age. Thoughts are with his family.
  5. Agree. Any rider that can maintain his average or increase it can't be a bad rider, so must be decent, at any level.. ??
  6. Didn't Ford tell Somerset that if they wanted C. Holder they would have to buy him for £20k. Refused a loan. Didn't matter as he wasn't allowed to ride here in the end.... I have not read the whole tread, but this came to mind. Might be irrelevant.
  7. I'm not so sure. Riders that can hold or increase their average could win you things. Whatever their average is.. Out of the Prem riders in 2020, who do you rate as "decent"?
  8. I think I probably would as well. He knows the tracks from the off. so not a gamble. Unless Buster has found a stonker, which isn't easy. I know the season hasn't started yet, but looking at the team, the top 2 will do ok, as will the reserves. Our week links away will probaby be TJ and Lewis. I think they will swap around a fair bit with the reserves throughout the season, leaving our engine room weak away from home whoever steps up into the 1-5. You need some points on the road to reach the playoffs. Hope i'm wrong.
  9. I think he's a good signing on 7.58. Will at the worst hold his average imho.
  10. I remember the days when all the rakers used march out of the pits on the parade with the riders at the AFA. Back In the "Welcome to sunshine speedway, Saddlebow road, the home of the Kings Lynn Stars" days There must of been 10 or so back then.
  11. Just shows that it is not just the clay content in the shale. Deep track and very wet = fast, hard to pass. Busters tracks are fast and smooth, but a little less shale and a bit less water, might just do the trick As we know a good race track isn't always the fastest.
  12. Poole don't do anything that costs them money for no reward.
  13. At the end of last season, he also said it was no good having riders who fly at the AFA and can't score away. What do they do, sign them again for 2020 and add Ty Proctor . The mind boggles, well mine does anyway
  14. My guess would be because it was for sale, and Buster thought the Prem needed another team. You would think he at least wants to break even if he can. As for the team, we will have to wait and see. The Stars only finished 2nd from bottom, and so far we have 4 of last seasons and added Ty Proctor. Guess we will have to wait and see. Both Busters teams in the play offs would be nice, don't laugh, im serious
  15. Another rider to be announced later this week according to the Stars twitter. Probably be Cookie I think.
