  1. Sorry to here.Hoping for a speedy recovery Starman.
  2. For who?You have put your username as the thread title. The speedway engine was Weslake
  3. 2 clubs.Swindon and Lynn.I think Magic was young and finding his feet back then.He would have improved anywhere.Great rider though, one of my favourites..
  4. Puk is getting on a bit now, about 36?.I think he would average less than the other two,but being loyal I would welcome him back.I wouldn't be upset if it was Doyle or Freddie I don't think the sport will ever be a £10 sport. If it was you would have people moaning about the quality of the riders. The Prem would have to be made up of Championship and NL riders to make it pay.
  5. Looks like a top team,if you end up with that one.Plus the bonus of always having a very strong reserve.
  6. Blimey.Thats a speedway fans post if ever I saw one.
  7. It depends on averages at the end of the day.The team must fit
  8. I'm surprised some rides sign for Poole, given Fords win at all cost mentality. The better of the 2 for me is Woryna. He plays to the crowd as well as being on a bargain average.I think he will be a crowd fav and put 2 points on his bargain ave..Spanner on a 4 year old ave, must be a bargain,if he brings good motors and wants it. A bit like Klint for me.If he traps he's away.
  9. Blimey..Woryna has no 2017 average and he's improved a lot, beating all the top riders abroard.so it's been said, comes on his 2 year old average of 4 point something. Then you've got Spanner who also has come on since his last average 4 years ago ,and they lower his ..What a shambles.. . Not Pooles fault though, as I assume any team could of signed them on the same ave's.
  10. Certainly not a rider on the way down, with an attitude to boot
  11. Is that the one that the track rakers came out first to,then the riders if i remember it correctly.
  12. If and i did say "if" that proves to be correct, then Poole are better off witouth any of them imho.
  13. Only Holder knows whats going on.He was poor everywhere in 2017.Some say he couldn't get his bikes working. Some think it was his buddy's accident..While it seems strange for a whole season that he couldn't get his bikes right, it may well of been some of his problems, some of the time, but "that night" bikes didn't have nothing to do with it. Maybe a sports psychologist might help,if he hasn't already been down that route.
  14. I'd be happy with that if NKI cant return. Kerr did say he was offered a spot at Lynn for 2018 about 10 days ago,but was asking for help with new equipment. He had a fundraising page set up,but I think it's gone now ?The mind boggles.
  15. I agree with that.But I think you've got Holder to come.
  16. Pleased for him.Sorted out nice and early. He deserved a place.
  17. That would be Lynn and not Rye for 1 over 8 in that case Who really knows for sure though.
  18. the 2019 season may well be a choice of either 2 riders over the 8,or 1 rider over 9 and 1 over 8 but under 9 per team.Who knows
  19. Unless i'm reading it wrong, the 90 points to be paid for without any wage guarantee's at all i would of thought that most riders are on some sort of guarantee at the moment, plus some £ per point. So with just points money to pay, you would end up with the worlds top riders and some of the GP stars wanting £400 + a point going down to the reserves at say £130 pp. I don't see it making things cheaper and if you didn't pay the top guys top money, they won't come over. Your idea might be workable in a lower league, but can't see it in the Prem.Just imho.
