Which rider is to improve the most in 2018
Bald Bloke replied to ProudtobeaBrummie's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I've been watching speedway at Lynn since 72.A Mike Lee he is not(in some things a good thing lol). He's only 19,but has had good experience for his age.Any 19 year old would be over the moon with his average.I don't know what Darcy Ward ave was when he was 19??. I don't know if he has a full time mentor, but I think he needs one.The first thing he needs work on is his gating. The 2nd is his attitude .No one is bigger than a club. Not Busters club.As proved with the to**er twins. I don't know if anyone is putting pressure on him ,or if he's putting on it himself. But he needs to concentrate on his riding and let others do the rest -

I was there. The air horns were deafening. As you say, a great atmosphere

Agree. I think Sarj will put 2 points on his 2.5 ave with the new rules. Clegg will improve on his 2 points. They are the obvious ones.Woryna should put 2 on his 4.5 as well -
Fair enough. If it where me , I think i'd sponsor a Young British rider for tyres.Only £1500 for the season.
-
His opinion...It's like arse***s,everyone has one.Maybe he's on a wind up, or he might think Pooles Poles might flop. Each to their own.
-
Have you thought of sponsoring the Pirates..Or do you already ?

SGB Premiership Confirmed signings 2018.
Bald Bloke replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
He must be a 4..Buster wouldn't make that mistake surely..Woryna is only 4 and a bit.How can he be a 5 -
Well it can't be much, other than money. He has been chosen/trusted to do the work.So ?

What a Knob

Looks like Poole. But I tipped them last. season. Not had a bet in 2018.
-
Needs some tin foil for the steel shoe
-
Bit harsh on a Brit lad trying to break through. Not far out ^^ Poole seem to be the win at any cost team of the Prem. How dare BV decide not to use him
-
That's true.We know all the clubs are struggling, and despite what some on here say that Poole are better off this year than in the 5 previous seasons.. I think they are feeling it now,the same as every club.No shame in that at all..Lets hope the crowds at least stabilise, if not increase in 2018.

Hope you keep Holder happy

Fans or fan

Both good young riders.Kurtz edges it for me.

Ermm.I admit I'm no sports scientist,by a long shot.Everything a driver does in the car in an F1 car is logged into data.Speedway tracks vary a lot from week to week. The bikes are so basic,no computers on board, riders ride injured etc.. F1 has computers to monitor tyre pressure, downforce, driver braking,Brake balance from front to rear.Gear changes, and many more.Don't know how much you can use that with a basic bike, with no brakes,no gears.I might be way off the mark after a tipple
-
I agree. But desire and bottle can fade on a cold, wet winters night. Will up his ave a bit.Probably behind Kurtz for Poole.Nowhere near Doyle.
-
Its the same for every motorsport.Do none of them count then ..It's worked out from the shortest way around. You can keep on the line and be slower than the rider riding mid track.Geeez

I've seen a Go Pro of Batch practising at Lynn. Probably a slick track as practice, but if I remember right, bends was around 40mph and 65 on the straight and before BV's new track . That's what I heard a while back.James Sarjeant was a gift on a 2.58 for 2018. Well done the Lions.

Riders probably ride harder/take more risks in Poland due the the money on offer. If Poole's track is sorted, it should be a good year to be a Poole fan.
