King’s Lynn vs Ipswich - Thurs 23rd May

My guess would be around 54-36. Something like NKI/Lawson 18, MPT/Klindt 10, Patryk/ Anders 8.
-
What for Alex pulling out when he did, for personal reasons? He thought Lynn was sorted.
-
He thought he had as good as sold PB, and Lynn's promotion at the start of last season, and that didn't happen. He had to step in at both clubs last season to keep them running. He continued with Lynn this season, when he wanted to be off enjoying his retirement fund with Cheryl. Not digging into it to run speedway. Taken from another thread.... "My mate went to stock cars at Lynn yesterday and apparently Buster announced that there won't be speedway at Lynn after this season"
-
Well he put you before Lynn, last season... He signed you a few good riders, after CJ bailed, and left you in the crap....Giving you a good end to the season, putting he's " Beloved Lynn" in the wooden spoon position !!
-
Wouldn't be for me. I'm not sure he's better than MPT or Patryk W, at this stage. Mind you Bomber or Wright, would get my attention for MPT.

King’s Lynn vs Sheffield, May 16th 2024
Bald Bloke replied to SuperStarsFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The time when he would get to the track at 5am to prepare it after the banger racing the night before, or bad weather, are long gone. At 66 (August) It's time for himself and Cheryl to enjoy their retirement fund.. And not dwindle it away running Lynn for another year or so. -

I think it was the 2022 season, maybe against Sheffield, when he worked on the track till 9pm, trying to get the meeting on, because the fans/riders etc were all there. Only to be told that the track still wasn't ridable after inspection.. Buster was well pi$$t off, and took to the mic and said he was done, and the club was for sale. I think that was the last time he has tried hard to get a meeting on with bad weather possible. i'm happy to stand corrected. -

This. I think he's done with the running of a speedway club. He thought he would be retired, and enjoying his retirement fund, last season. God knows if Lynn will run next season. -

I admit the weather forecast for tomorrow, don't look great.. But how did the forecast change so much from 3.57pm when it was tweeted the meeting was on, to 7pm, and it's off ? The cynic in me tells me there's more to this.. -
Give me Wright for MPT . Would even take Bomber at a push

Nah. Last time he was a Lynn rider. It was the year that team building averages change, and Holder was over a 12. Poole dropped him like a stone. Buster gave him a job, and he threw his toys out of the pram that night, against Poole of all teams. Lynn was just in front at the time. Still pees me off today... -

To be honest, i don't really know. I do know it wont be easy though. I just hope Buster / Rob have their feelers out. As always money talks, but will Buster want to dig deep, when our top 4 chance is a long shot already. -

A big no no from me. Would be expensive, and he has a lower average(4.11) than all 7 Stars riders, and no better in the UK imho. We are 2.66 under the limit. Replace MPT with someone up to 7.45, is what i'd be looking at. -

The Tigers top 4 are much to strong. A stonker from Patryk could keep it to 42-48 though. -

I'm sure both teams would want to win the meeting. -

So its a principle thing? Not that he's worried about crowd levels dropping if we are not winning at home, which is a money thing. Your first point would help obviously. But his income comes from those home meetings, as we know. Loose some home meetings and the crowds will dwindle. 1400 against BV, First meeting and a decent team i know, but we lost. Next meeting, Birmingham, not as good a team, but one we should win, and you get 1000. We couldn't afford to to loose the next home one( Leicester,) which was looking likely, with 2 key riders missing imho. I'm only guessing, and in no way saying it's right, but that's how i see it. -

If the reason for this latest call off is money (people through the turnstiles), then we can't be in very good shape finically, even at this early stage in the season. -
