  1. Poole may well be the only team to be able to afford it.If that's the case it will only benefit Poole. There would be a big gap between the richest club and the rest.Poole might get bigger crowds if they field top riders, but it wont do them no good if they haven't got an Elite league to ride in.
  2. I think you might be right about the plates.I had drank lots of falling down water last night.Think I had a brain fart.
  3. gee jay.Trust me .If you like to tel me i'll try and expain
  4. Gregs clutch was perfect from the start..If either of the 2 clutch levers went ** up once on the move it wouldn't affect the bike s drive In effect the clutch would be fixed in the out position. That was in the extreme but if it was how Greg said his clutch lever was it wouldnt affect the bike once out of start. .
  5. Been going since 1972 solid until 1990.A handful of meetings a year since.
  6. No.They are only there for the start.Once the bike is moving they are not needed. If they are fitted they need to be good or clutch slip will ocour. If u take them out once on the move it wont make a differeance
  7. Not looked through any of it.All reserve riders with an elite league av should keep to it.Not go by their PL av's
  8. If a PL rider does a full season in the Elite they should keep their EL av next season. Not go by their PL av
  9. Agree that Greg shouldn't loose his title. It was one race.I do think he should punished for pulling out of the meeting. In the first statement from Greg I read something along the lines of the clutch lever came loose. It can cause the chain to come off.Really ? The last I read said something like the lower clutch arm came loose. If the clutch lever on the bars or the lower lever on the countershaft came loose the only thing it might do is cause the bike to creap farward on the start line.It wont cause the clutch to slip(loosing speed).Greg made a good start!! Once to the first corner you could take the levers off the bike and all the clutch plates for that matter and the bike will act the same. You only need them after the race when you pull the clutch in to turn around when you come back to the pits.Someone in the camp don't know their onions Just my opinion
  10. I've been riding bikes for 35 years.Rode a m8's speedway bike on a field about 10 years ago and crapped myself. Not the power but how light it was,no brakes.Big up to anyone who has a skid.
  11. Greg explains; “It’s very technical but basically there’s a lever that connects to the handlebars and the clutch and it came loose, I think it started in my first race and it kept getting worse. Would that be the clutch lever...Once you get to the first corner there is no need to use the clutch lever until you finnish the race and turn around to go back in the pits. I'm no expert but have rode bikes for 35 years.
  12. KN on 3.69 AE on 4.00 Not read it through but how can anyone(poole) get both on a 7.69 Prem double up aves should be scrapped if rode in the top league all season.
  13. Been away for a bit.How can Rory manage Lynn and ride for someone else,or has he quit riding?
  14. Nah.Could earn more riding. He's not done yet
  15. I think he's 2 best scores was against Poole.Showing Mr Ford what he can do??Might be miles off the mark..But ??
  16. Trouble is as fast as it is and reliable as it seems.Once tuners get one it will end up the same as the rest. Engines need to be sealed with a NON TAMPER seal if poss
  17. Britain won't compete with Poland financially but it should try and put on a top class league like they do and Sweden over 14 or 16 meetings not 28 with most of the team also riding elsewhere and unavailable at times". If meetings don't increase here peeps will become even less interested imho
  18. Good luck if they do.That rider now, isn't earning that I'm sure
  19. 2 years ago i read on hear that a top(ish) rider was earning around 30k a week.For 4 leagues.So take off around 2-3k for UK.Says it all..
  20. To be fair Steve BV won the league with that 1-7.Scotty loves the place.Didn't do the bizz tonight.Matty scored better last time he was there.Max..Well I just don't know.Should of been buzzing he's nads off. ??
  21. I agree Danny.I think it will be close.Hope all riders stay safe over the 2 legs and treat us to some good racing
  22. I heard about 3 years ago a certain top rider in the UK was on a £2k guarantee. In Poland it was 20.In 4 leagues it was 30k a week altogether
  23. It's bloody wrong .I heard a few years back that a top rider in the UK who could earn a 2 K guarantee in the UK.Can earn 20 in Poland.I know we don't get the crowds to pay more, but the Poles, even if they pay more, surly can't tell self employed riders where they can work.
