  1. How long are we going to put up with Connor for? I'm sorry, but this is stupid He CAN do wrong, he was bad tonight, but at least he's good sometimes... Unlike some... Ludvig is our CAPTAIN and he has done so much for us on and off the track for years now, and he's probably our most entertaining rider on his day, it's a shame that in some people's eyes he can't do anything right...
  2. Rene, possibly, I hope maybe next year, still wouldn't say no to this year, but Larsen, with his injuries and he's announced that he's retired, I doubt it, I know riders come back, but I just don't see it
  3. 11.16 was it not? Anyway, this is beside the point and I'm just being pedantic xD I loved it when Danny rode for us, I hope he comes back one day, you never know, I see our team being COMPLETELY different in 2018 to what it is now, maybe Ludvig and possibly Rose, but I don't see any one else staying, Phillips maybe? I hope Rene and Danny come back and the points limit goes UP!!
  4. Thanks for clearing that up, it seems that it takes many years to understand the rules of speedway, by which time, they've all changed again xD
  5. Ah, I didn't realize it was like that, I though if 2 riders added to 15 points for example, the two who came in could be 15 points... Whether it's a 12 and a 3 or two 7.5... Has the rules changed since we brought Danny King and a reserve in? For Henry and if I remember Rosen? Also, I doubt Jake scored that much that season, i remember him struggling a lot, however wouldn't he get a new assessed average because it's been 3 years? (or some rule like that anyway )
  6. Yup, I've suggested Brady already ^_^ People were not impressed, but only because I suggested dropping Lambert
  7. Yep, I think Liam at 7 and Ben at 6 would be great, Morris for Aarnio and then Liam would fit in for Connor, only problem is that I love Ashley and think he's been one of our best riders so far this year (for what you'd expect as an individual) There seems to be a lot of switching around now that there is new averages every 2 weeks, might that effect team 'chemistry'? Neither would I Quite like Liam See above for Liam, plus Jake Knight rode for Sheffield in I think 2013 or 2014 but I am 90% sure he never got a proper average as he didn't score much, think he's a lot better now, although he does seem to retire and come back every year But as a solution for this year, he'd do a good job in my opinion, Connor needs a damn break!!
  8. I don't think any covers, whether they're 10p or 20p will stop the floods : I stand corrected Haha, good score for Liam You'll still need a jetski to get there I think Liam struggled because he was in the main body, too much pressure, with him dropping back down, he can regain confidence and start scoring again, and hopefully get a CL place somewhere ...Maybe Newcastle? Robert is now our number 1, effective on the 12th, Steve drops a little, Ludvig makes a little, Rose drops a little and Morris loses 0.01 points!! And surprise surprise... The reserves are both 2.00 (Although I don't think Ben will be for much longer)
  9. But still unlikely, unless we're on jetskis Jake Knight did very well in the NL on his first meeting back... Top scored for a drawing Eastbourne team at Birmingham no less... Scored more than Matt Williamson, Tom Perry, Max Clegg, Liam Carr and Darryl Ritchings on the night, all around a track they're pretty good on. Have a word George!!
  10. I think any team in the country would be lucky to get a point this week
  11. Forward thinking? You mean giving up on the season barely into June? Not surprised Josh is back... I knew he'd be back, but I thought he would have at least waited until 2018 before he changed his mind
  12. Oh yes, I am not questioning Connor's effort one bit, I'm questioning why he's been thrown into a league he's clearly not ready for, I wasn't suggesting Boxall as a serious thing, I just wondered what average he would come on, just out of curiosity, his old one? Or would it be a new one? See Above
  13. I've heard a lot of good thing about his attitude actually, but if I was Connor, I'd be taking a step back, drop down to the NL and start winning races down there again, get his confidence back and come back up when he is ready... He's getting nothing for travelling hundreds of miles and knacking his bikes when he crashes... Which he does a lot... He must be getting bankrupt soon... Or close to it...
  14. Ah, I shall go and have a look, thanks, hope they release the video, as much as I hate seeing riders get hurt, as long as they're ok, it's part of the sport, like fights in ice hockey for example... Just looked at the pictures, was everyone in the crowd ok?
  15. Well that's good!! Turkey? (Sorry Poland, I really don't know my languages xD) They don't seem like much of a "Terrorist" group, as one website describes them, if their stuff has gone off the website in less than an hour...?
  16. Know it's a bit bad asking this, but I only ask because both riders are ok, but it there a video of the crash somewhere, people talking about it being as bad as it was, and both riders being ok, makes me want to see it
  17. The idiot has happened? I went on the website and now I'm being rapped at in what sounds like Polish O.o xD https://www.speedwaygb.co/homepage Edit: The idiot? THE F*UCK!! THE POLES ARE ATTACKING, EVERYONE PANIC (Assuming it's Polish)
  18. Fair enough, unfortunately, I don't get to watch Plymouth as much as I want to, I just would have thought Smart on a smaller average and then bring in Extance or Kelsey Dugard for one of the 3 pointers, so maybe Henry or Richard can go back down to reserve? Just a thought, but what has happened has happened
  19. I think we'll lose either way, but why doesn't someone start a thread? xD
  20. Yep, someone like Jake Knight, imo, would have about a 3 point average... Jake and Ben would battle it out to be the best reserve, and it would get quite competitive, which is what we need down there... I would think that Steve could take a ride, I maybe be wrong, but I think any rider on the same average counts as a rider below, is that makes sense? O.o Not the rider above... Although I may be wrong (I probably am) maybe they well start narrowing it down to their averages to 3/4/5 decimal places, see who has the highest? I dunno... Really? Didn't know that, that's a bit stupid, oh well, one ride for Lewis, one ride for Steve, one ride for Ashley and a ride for Josh... And give Ben Connor's fourth ride... Josh'll get 2 laps in the second half...
  21. Literally just was reading that on the website, thanks Hope Josh gets a ride, maybe for Connor... Josh could have 2, one of R/R and one of Connors 4 rides, so he gets 3, share them out
  22. That's good And I didn't realize that was tomorrow, thanks, do we get a guest because it's another event or does it have to be R/R? I was going to say if we have to use an NL rider, if that rule still exists, just throw Josh Embleton in there, but I'd rather he got the ride at Stoke instead
  23. The NL is made for British riders, Roynon is British, and he doesn't have a team place higher up, so it's fair, at least it's Lee Smart that's made room for him, not a young rider Although I do wonder why they got rid of Smart and not Compton... But that's just my opinion
  24. Maybe I'm bias because I used to live in Plymouth, and they're my second team, but I quite like Boxall Plus, he's only got to be an improvement on Connor, although as I said, I bet he'd come in on his 5 something average... I don't think Ben will become our source of points from reserve, that's why I'm saying he should be out 'junior' reserve, at 7... And find someone else to be out 'senior' reserve... Where is Ludvig for tomorrow? And I do hope Lewis is fit enough to take his place... Well done Josh, that's what you need, NL time
  25. Ben Hopwood is a decent reserve, he is scoring pretty well (for him), home and away and I think he's averaging more than 1/1.5 point a meeting... So he'd outscore both Sam and Mark's scores easily I would have thought, not that I've heard of either of them Connor, probably won't equal them, he's not even scoring a single point in most meetings, no offence to him, but he needs to find an NL team and just stick with them for now... I feel it'll just get worse now Eastbourne have dropped him too... Maybe Mildenhall can fit him back in somehow? Connor has 6 points from 10 meetings... 1 second place and 4 3rd places (averaging 0.6 points a meeting) Ben has 15 points from 5 meetings... 3 second places and 9 3rd places (averaging 3 points a meeting) Obviously if Connor sticks at speedway, he will get better than Ben, he has more potential, but for now, I'd rather Ben over Connor... And maybe get another reserve in, even if it means sacrifices to the top 5, a reserve who can actually win a race... And have Ben at 7 (Where he'll score even more points than he already does at 6, a much harder position) I think that Jake Knight would be a good option, obviously, he'll want to ride for us first... But he is a much better rider than Connor is in the NL for starters, he's much more experienced, and all the Eastbourne fans I've spoken to seem to think Jake and Connor are in different leagues... Yeah, Jake tried the PL in the past, years ago, when he was relatively new to the sport and when the league was so much better than it is now... But I think now that he is older, better and has more experiences, he'd be a much better rider in a weaker league... I'd like to see him in Newcastle colours... As for Connor, I hope he gets an NL team place, but if Newcastle want to do anything this year... We need another rider in for him, sorry, it's harsh, but it's reality... I know this is controversial, but would Steve Boxall come in on his old average of 5ish whatever it is, or will he come in on a new assessed average? Also, I know he's got a 3.85 average, but Ben Morley would be nice to squeeze in somehow... Dan Halsey, Nathan Stoneman, Dan Greenwood and Liam Carr are all names I'd like to see in Diamonds kevlars and riders who I think could score a few more than what Connor is...
