Managed to get refund from Travel lodge tonight. It’s the principal. Why would I book for relevant new date after this stunt?

“Some inconvenience.” Monarchs match could easily have been changed to league fixture. The point is some of us are already down South and there is no other match on Wednesday which suits.And don’t even suggest Birmingham v Leicester. It isn’t a wee jaunt down the motorway for me.

Been a while since I planned a 3 away track visit but this was doable in one go. I would be hard pressed to do these tracks in 3 separate visits. This is the UK’s second city that is hosting the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Hope they are more organised than the Brummies.

Every track has struggled. I will think twice about attending a meeting at Perry Barr the way they have treated visiting fans. Quite a few have planned a three leg mini tour ; blue sky but rained off Leicester, Kent and Birmingham. Beggars belief that we find out is has been changed 4 days before match. “Superseded all other considerations” for that read a two fingered salute to the Monarchs fans.

Probably can’t type how angry I am just now. Sat in a Premier Inn 2 miles from Leicester track and it is dry, has been since we arrived at 4.30. Blue sky. win some lose some, at least I have still left leg 2 and 3 of my mini tour, Friend texts me they have ditched Monarchs match at Birmingham. So hotel booked at Perry Barr, Cookie Cat an extra night in cattery but hey away fans don’t matter but never mind. After all ……… “Fair play to the Brum promotion team. Some nice extras advertised. “ If league takes priority why not make Monarchs match a league fixture.

Travelled from Lanark today. Sat in a Premier Inn about 2 miles from track. Heard match was off at Killington Lake services but as we are going to Kent for a few days still travelled to Leicester. Dull but Dry. Frustrating.

Not to what promotion was expecting from him.

Oh for the days when we had this young man from Cumbria called Dan Bewley at reserve. Would have been some rising star.

It is a price to pay for being top heavy BUT a rider with 18 years experience should come to the tapes with a functioning bike. It’s a slap in the face to team mates that show a higher standard of professionalism. Nathan is a reserve who has been stuck in number 2 spot. Hopefully a spell at reserve will help his confidence and he can kick on.

We weren’t left with much to choose from when this rising star thing was brought in. Promotion pinned their hopes on Willie increasing his average. Would never be back to rider he was but would do much better with decent equipment.

Apart from Berwick can’t think of a match away from home where 2 from number 2, 6 and 7 scored well.

Agree. Good that Nathan scored a few points. Slow start cost us big time. Well done to the boys who turned it around. Hopefully pick up some points next week on the road. Really need all the team to chip in on the scoring front.

We have 3 strong heat leaders and Kye has been superb riding tracks for first time. Our other 3 riders are essentially reserves and William’s equipment has been sub standard. For us to get anything tonight we need our heat leaders and Kye firing and one of the other 3 to come to the party.

The usual story - when one of our top 3 is below par we need rest of team to step up. After a 5 1 in heat 1 Willie reverted to form. Pleased Nathan in the points.

Hope the 2 Berwick boys are okay. a lot of grit and resilience shown by Bandits tonight. Could have been a great Cup tie if events ht 1 hadn’t happened. Flint a big miss too.

We got caught out when Monarchs were at Berwick. Had to go back into town. Loved that chippy.
