  1. Seems strange that when Klindt pulled out they opted for an untried Dane with no track record in Denmark were they expecting another BuskJacobson! With hindsight they could have used anybody and waited for Rob to turn up. Why offer him a team place and then withdraw it.
  2. Is this a National league fixture we are watching!
  3. Plymouth now have 2 vacancies following Gjedde withdrawal.
  4. Pretty sure Rye House can also claim Tommy Price and Freddie Williams at least their early development
  5. Rob has a lot of potential - Rye need to invest in his talent and bring him up to Standard such as Wright Stark Sargeant and Kerr all Natinal league boys who struggled at first.
  6. I'm not sure how riders will progress in this sport unless they are givien a greater challenge The current format is flawed however
  7. I guess so but he has committed to Eastbourne for some reason.
  8. Well perhaps they should 'appeal ' the stupid rule - I'm sure Mr Ford wouldn't stand for it! Another rider takes a liking to Rye who you don't expect to score big this time Campton after Grondal last meeting.
  9. Truth is that Peterborough riders currently, Ully apart are not performing any where near to beat the stronger riders of teams as Glasgow and probably 5 other teams in a very strong Premier league. Maybe having a top 5 of Danish riders limits the teams ability to deal with different types of track surfaces?
  10. If Danyon Hume continues his progress he should be ready for next season
  11. The latest averages have Cradley rider Chessell as a 10.00 explain?
  12. Correct Shads Rye being one of the the few teams to promote young GB riders were stuffed well and truly. As I recall we had Boxall riding like a heat leader having made rapid strides and Bowen who came up from the Raiders His points return at home was exceeding expectations until he had that terrible crash and broken leg.
  13. I'm sure Rye would be prepared to swap him for one of their Danes!
  14. Book him a few sessions with Kelvin Tatum to sort out his phobia!
  15. Lykke's good grace at the start is evident in these pics - shocking!
  16. Rye teams especially at home have in the past been built on riders like Tommy Allen Rob Mear and even Luke Bowen They would score way above their average and have the beating of most middle order opposition. The current crop of Lykke Morley and Karger aren't going to be big scorers so it's shown as tonight where the points have been lost. Peterborough will prosper until Grondal goes into the team.
  17. How the heck can you tell after 2 meetings??
  18. I don't want to put the lad down but Morley needs to take a look at his progress in this sport especially at this level He should be scoring twice what he did tonight and Hume is going to be quite a rider, probably when Ben is still Poodling around the NL.
  19. Rob Godfrey was all for closing Scunthorpe for the very same reason Plymouth have shut - dwindling crowd Let's hope it the numbers have improved
  20. The costs of running a speedway track/team cannot be any greater than a non league football club at National level or the next level below that, Crowds are similar and stadia are much the same with limited facilities and volunteers. There is a need for people with deep pockets to run football at that level so why should speedway be any different.
  21. The film from 1955 - 'there is another sun' is based around a funfair wall of death and Speedway. It was recently shown on Sky channel 343 and will be repeated sometime, The speedway action is from Walthamstow and only features towards the end of the film.
  22. Expect a scramble for riders and how many currently employed will be Pushed out to accommodate a different average # speedway life I guess!
  23. This is Speedway you never finish the season with the team you started with!
