  1. Cooper isn’t old enough to race in the championship this season.
  2. Cooper was the reason I went along to watch and I wasn’t disappointed, looks very classy on the bike, good style and fast for his age. Also conducts himself well with the fans in the pits and on the microphone etc, this kid is going to go far.
  3. Anyone know if Will is fit enough to ride in this after his fall for Belle Vue? My main reason for attending will be to watch him and Cooper ride
  4. Anyone know how long Ben Barker might be out for?
  5. He’s way off the pace sadly. Surely Nathan Ablitt could come in and do a better job whilst the averages allow
  6. Thanks for running this again, here’s my team; Jody Scott - 8.10 (Oxford) Mickie Simpson - 4.49 (Scun/Sheff) Vinnie Foord - 6.29 (Kent) Sam McGurk - 5.56 (Edinburgh) Freddy Hodder - 7.11 (Belle Vue Senna Summers - 3.44 (Oxford) Cooper Rushen - 3.00 (Leicester) Total 🟰 37.99
  7. This is a discussion forum is it not?
  8. If Steve Ribbons was doing this as a personal venture then yes whatever his previous experience/ventures were would be irrelevant as everyone would just be hoping he succeeds in reopening. The reason it is relevant, just in my opinion, is because you are asking us to put our money in to fund it. I think it’s valid to know who’s going to be using the money and whether it’s going to be used correctly rather than just chucking money over the fence to a stranger. I was initially interested in making a pledge but to be honest the track issues have made me nervous, now you are raising money just to pay the league bond but then having to get a loan to pay for the air fence, does that make all pledgers liable for the loan if they are shareholders, and surely it’s a lost cause for entering any national league competitions this season as it was reported that the deadline to have everything signed off to enter the national trophy was 15th March, however it’s stated that the foam fence would take 2 months to deliver once ordered ….. and they don’t yet have the funds to order it. I’m not trying to be negative and I think it’s really important that we try to get as many tracks running as possible and wish nothing but best wishes and support to this project, but I think it’s only fair that people have valid questions and concerns given the fact this is going to be a fan funded project.
  9. There was a press release this morning regarding the track inspection. http://www.mildenhall-speedway.com/index.php/latest-news/357-air-fence-improvement-required-following-track-inspection
  10. Greg Palmer put the club up for sale last September, so you’d have to assume that he has sold it to the new consortium, although in theory the club ownership should be should be transferred to the trust of 100 pledgers that are putting their money in? With regards to a promoters license, I’m sure this would have already been discussed with the BSPL who they have been in regular dialogue with
  11. It wasn’t meant in bad taste at all so apologies if it came across that way. I think it’s totally fair that if they’ve asked Ben Trigger to work on his fitness and professionalism to ask the same about Ben Barker, and I mean it in the nicest way that last year was a poor year for Barker who has ridden at the very top of this sport and if Plymouth are to have a good season then they will really need Ben B to step up and become the 2nd heat leader and increase his average. I agree that Ben B is a great rider to watch and always gives it 110 percent, I’m also pleased to see Ben T get a championship place and hope the gladiators have a great season.
  12. Does the same apply to Ben Barker then?
  13. There’s been no announcement of the last rider for Plymouth yet. Most speculation linked Ben Trigger, being the obvious choice as a local lad with an average that fits but the last time Ben was asked he’d said he didn’t have a championship place or any offers. You might also be correct in thinking that if it was to be Ben then it would have been announced by now as surely would have been straight forward to do a deal, maybe Plymouth have an ace up their sleeve?
  14. Could always run a double header 😊
