  1. They may be not world stars ,but they have shown there loyalty to the club instead of taking off for pastures anew as soon as soon as better terms are offered elsewhere , they have stuck by the club when others like B.Barker . C. Harris , P. Starke , J.Holder have all turned there backs and moved on. That's why they stick by them because they are reliable and dependable and put the club first , regardless if they are the best options or not loyalty must go a long way.
  2. His average is around 3and a half to 4 so he will not be able to be fitted in your side unless they drop someone to compensate for it
  3. Only lasted 5 meetings doesn't sound that good either , he will probably be ok around the showground at reserve but there will be at least 3 riders battling it out for a reserve spot , so if he goes reasonably well he could well get pushed up to the NO 2 spot then the problems will kick in.
  4. I'm already anticipating a mid season rebuild, sad that we make the same mistake year on year.
  5. Still with you then, last I heard she was giving blow jobs to the air fence panels
  6. Not just yet anyway but wait till the season starts and maybe a couple of early home defeats then see what happens.
  7. Where was the BSPA's mentality of putting the limit upto 42.50 , with Lakeside joining the championship swelling the ranks to 11 teams it was always going to create a shortage of quality riders to go around.
  8. Rob Branford not returning from Aus for 2018 , Jan Graversen did a good job at Sheffield last season but his away form is very suspect, not a great lover of Eddie Kennett , he can be either brilliant or score nothing. You're 1st option looks best to me but at the moment it's all conjecture as we have to wait and see how things pan out .
  9. It was bad enough from the first four riders signed adding Grondal to it as made it even worse as there is very little leeway with positions to fill, if they had left it at the four signed there would have been more opportunity with different combinations of riders . Panthers only hope now is they relax the 6 point rule that allows them to bring in a proper NO1, which is what they should have been looking into the moment they knew they had lost Harris. Then maybe we would not be in this position . All this uncertainty of just who will be in the team and maybe playing a waiting game hoping for a rule change is not good business IMO. It could affect season ticket sales and also sponsorship deals for the club and riders. The only way you can describe it at best is shoddy.
  10. Certainly some wisdom in your thoughts maybe it would be a good idea . As I don't believe we should be hoping will do us any favours . What ever way they go with team planning with the five signed so far I don't think they capable of winning any trophies.
  11. Good, hope they make it a permanent arrangement, never been a fan of the fours . remember seeing the very first fours meeting at the showground which I believe was 1971 which was part of the expo steam weekend with an 11am start between Greer's Gorillas , Davis's Demons , Sunderland Stars and another quartet , not quite sure who they were . It was run over 12 heats. I didn't like it then so if this decision is a punishment from the BSPA then I welcome it
  12. To get those pair in the team they would have to drop at least 2 of the 5 already signed . I can't see that happening.
  13. What ever 2 final riders they get, it still looks like a team of also rans to me , good for making the numbers up but no chance of getting to the play offs and may struggle to get in the top 6 IMO.
  14. Didn't they also say when signing K.Hansen before the start of last season that he would be pushing for the NO;1 slot
  15. Anybody know if there is a mid season cut off date for team changes in force for 2018 because I have a feeling we are going to need to make those changes yet again.
  16. Surely the management must realise this is not good for business generally with the bottom end signings already made and maybe having to wait 5/6 weeks before they complete the team, not good for prospective new season ticket holders or indeed those renewing there's. I can't see it being a record breaking season ticket sales what ever spin they put on it . Just wish management would not just listen to fans but take notice as well. Every year we seem to build from the bottom and every year we have to make changes because they keep getting it wrong. In future why don't we try building from the top first .I just can't get any enthusiasm about the riders signed so far and I don't think I am alone , very disappointed in the lack of imagination shown by management.
  17. Good job we have 26 letters in the alphabet which gives us a bit more scope then.
  18. Panthers could go to the end of January before completing the final 2 team positions according to Carl Johnson they are waiting for proposed vote change , he also mentions we have plan A and a plan B for more details see the P/boro E .T.
  19. Could it have something to do with those championship teams that have signed riders with dual averages from both leagues calculating from 2017 championship averages now have to use there premiership average multiplied by 1.3.
  20. I have no problem with old riders returning , they are ok in there own right, the problem is we have not used the averages correctly to build the team , too many middle order riders and very little clout with heat leaders , and of the old riders returning , I can't see how they will improve at all from the averages they have already got
  21. I really don't think we want to go down that route again now do we .
