  1. Those days are long gone, I remember great performances from the likes of Andy Ross , John Davis, and Brian Clark as well as many others but I wouldn't expect them to come up to the mark these days. 2006 memories and expecting them to be repeated almost 11 years later is wishful thinking, but I wish him all the best anyway.
  2. Liam Carr 15 pts from 6 at I.O.W tonight , I cant help thinking we've missed a trick here.
  3. Well this must be last chance saloon for him at Peterborough then.
  4. Really, I know there's not a lot to choose from so I shouldn't be too surprised or disappointed , but if that's what we've got then we need to encourage him and give him support , Is he on 28 day contract or what.
  5. More chance of Diane Abbott becoming chancellor of the exchequer , but they've got one thing in common they both have a habit of not turning up when they are needed.
  6. Plenty of experience in those two but not sure about there ambitions to race at Championship level maybe they both race for the fun of it these days and wouldn't be up for it probably out of there comfort zone.
  7. Even if you could get a 3 point foreign rider would you want to gamble on it after the experiences we had last season with AWOL Holub . There are very few options out there but Carr looks about the best choice . As for Simon if he has to sit out the remainder of the season , he will be hot property on a bargain 3 point average for next year but I hope it doesn't come to that and we see him back in the red and black before too long and i'd like to wish him a speedy recovery.
  8. Then surely the answer would be to bring in Liam Carr on 28 day temporary cover and if needed renew it 28 days later and so on.
  9. Yes they did but as you say not on the same scale . The problem is the BSPA didn't see this happening when many supporters on this site were saying it was open to abuse . Its not cheating because it's within the rules ,
  10. Liam Carr is the stand out temp replacement for me Hall Boxall and Bowen I wouldn't even bother with, Shanes would miss too many matches. Next best Wajtknecht. Roynon's average I think would be too high.
  11. Bad luck again for Simon ,I hope it's not too serious and he's soon back but if he's going to be out for any length of time then perhaps we should look to bring in Liam Carr as a temporary replacement until such time as he is fit again.
  12. Unfortunately most tracks don't belong to speedway teams and are used for various other purposes that makes it impractical to be able facilitate this idea, so we have to put up with chances of rain offs.
  13. Believe me if Ipswich had been in the same position as Peterborough they would have done the same also , the fault lies with the BSPA who like you said should have dealt with this during the winter off season but failed to do so.
  14. Maybe his heatleader days are over but he may become a very useful second string this season.
  15. Peterborough host Berwick on Sunday and Jake Knight is guesting for the Bandits at #7 will let you know how I rate him.
  16. Well perhaps he should try Scunthorpe they are in need of a new NO;7 , we are quite happy with Tom Bacon's efforts with Panthers
  17. You could well be right on that one, but I hope not, there's still a long way to go this season and we don't want too many passengers.
  18. The least I would expect from him would be to at least hold his 7.14 average from the end of last season but there needs to be, big signs of improvement to get anywhere near that, so far this season he's been a major disappointment .
  19. We gave him a chance last season and he was well off the pace , I can't see Panthers going down that route again whilst Tom Bacon is making signs of improvement , and maybe Jake Knight looks good around Eastbourne in the National league but there is a world of difference as opposed to riding at Peterborough in the Championship. Good luck to Jake in finding a Championship team but I don't think it is likely at Peterborough.
  20. The only covers he knows about are smoke screens.
  21. Should be a good test for Ostergaard on a track he knows so well to prove he's still got what it takes and lead from the front for once.
  22. Panthers badly missed Jack Holder and BWD at Scunthorpe , I can see why some Witches fans are not happy with agent Newman's performances he was dreadful on Sunday Ostergaard didn't look interested and in my opinion he's lucky to still have a team place he certainly needs to up his game . The revolving door is at Scunthorpe it has been specially adapted on a two week cycle return ticket for Josh Auty
