I don't think Panthers should omit Tom Bacon from the team even if we have to carry him for most of the season , it shows how tough for National league riders moving up to Premier league as NO;7's it really is and should have been expected that it would be a learning curve struggle for most of them , yes it might take time but I think we should persevere and give the time to develop , as examples Danny Phillips at Newcastle and Josh Bailey at Scunthorpe last season.

Spot on mate. One or two people on here just too eager to make changes and think that will solve the problem , and when it backfires it would be the management that would have to carry the can for there rashness. When making team changes you have to make sure that they will improve the overall strength of the team and so far I havn't seen any suggestions that back this up , admitted we have a problem with Simon Lambert and Tom Bacon who are underperforming at the moment but with Simon due to go down to reserve when the new averages are operational surely it is better to give him the chance and it could be just the boost he needs to get his confidence and form back, with Tom it's a bit different I havn't seen any improvement in the lad whatsoever , it seems by the time he gets to the 1st bend he already out of the race , i'm sure Tom is doing all he can to get himself up and running , and I would like him to succeed but to be honest , I don't see it happening anytime soon .

No way, I don't understand the reason for such a kneejerk reaction , we tried that towards the end of last season and what a disaster that was . If we are at some stage to change any riders lets do it with those with that will improve the team , Roynon for Lambert is not an improvement. -
A few years Jesper Monberg had to be dropped out of the equation at Peterborough as at the time it was 6 at home and 6 away but because he had done 7h and 5 away BSPA ruled it out and he would have had to come in on a much higher average. Seemed harsh at the time but rules are there to be followed.

What about k/o cup matches don't they count or is it just league matches only for calculation of averages. Which ever it is on either average he will be hard to replace as there's not a lot out there of the right quality to choose from , but good luck to the lad and I hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Seems like he's had an infection which is now being treated with medication and should be fit for Panthers next fixture. -

No thanks , he's been around long enough, to have improved a lot more , i'd rather stick with Tom Bacon and give him the chance. Most of the NO;7's in the championship are having a tough baptism of fire and IMO we should stick with him all season regardless if he is struggling, if the lads showing the commitment and is eager to impress then lets give him a bit of confidence and give him that chance with management and riders helping him with advice , who knows it might just work for him. -

Rode really well around the showground and looked like a NO1 in the making, excellent performance . -

I think Panthers would be hard pushed to find a replacement who could do a better job on a 5.26 average . Best to give Lambert the chance to get his form back , remember this team was built to be strong at home and when Simon is on form he's definitely worth his place around the Showground and the same applies to Hansen . -

We also had to carry Holob Halsey and Hall, who in my opinion gave us the worst bottom end strength in the league. -
