Let's get back to it. If this big number 1 is correct. It won't Be Nicki P because he wont be allowed to do it.(poland, Sweden and Denmark) So it has to be someone who isnt doing 2 leagues outside of Poland and I would rule out any new GP stars. (milik and Lebdevs will get wildcard ) Holder isn't a number 1 on his average either. Lindback= Maybe to earn more money Pawliki P= Needs to learn how to ride small tracks. Is great in Poland and poor elsewhere. Started at Poole and good mates with Kacper Woryna Killer= If he chose Rybnik would be an alright number 1. (falls off a lot though) Drabik= Might consider doing it(still very young though) Vaculik= Is scared of flying. (But why would he say he would ride for Poole in the echo last year, http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/14937289.Speedway__Pirates_chief_Ford_foiled_in_moves_for_Vaculik_and_Michelsen/) Think Magic and Dudek are out of reach. If it was Magic or Dudek who would you take??

And your Number 8 rider must be u23. Hearing Torun might also run a team in a lower league in the future. Polish speedway going from strength to strength. Need to sell rights in Sweden, Denmark and UK then would be very successful. Highest transfer fee in UK ever has been 60k which was Hans Andersen from Poole to Coventry. Poland see anything less than 50K as cheap still.

Nicki P, Killer and Zengota all be released by Lezsno Nicki P looks like he will go to Tarnow Killer either GKM, Tarnow or even Rybnik Zengota most like Z Gora Hancock has been offered a new contract at Torun, but looks like he will turn it down. Most likely he will replace Doyle who will trade ZG for Torun. C.Holder who looked likely to leave is now staying at Torun and most likely be joined by Doyle and NKI. Kurtz and Fricke have yet to be signed, Fricke's only choice now is most likely Tarnow. Wroclaw dont want to spend 76K on the transfer fee. Wroclaw are rumoured to be after Chugunov for there number 8 spot. (Think that could be an amazing signing). Wroclaw also after Musielak who seems to have offers from everyone. Holta has an offer to join Torun and looks like he could take it. Lingren, Fricke, killer and Kurtz wil be the interesting story to follow in the coming weeks. Think we could see some big name riders in Nice League 1. Rybnik may keep the big riders together and walk the league.

From what has been said, they seem to have agreements with riders. I imagine, Kim N, Zach W and maybe AJ.

Back to 2018 anyway. The Pre AGM meeting is next week if I am correct. Well there is something going on. Promoters must have some idea because We have signed 2 Rye have signed 3 if not 4 now Lakeside have 3 as well.(sounds like they are definitely coming up ) Lynn have got a few ready to go as well.

Season is way too long. It gets cold so tracks get hard, makes rubbish racing and crowds drop. KO cup yesterday had been moved 3 times. Just have it all earlier and finish the season earlier. We also finish behind all other countries who then get first pick of riders.
-
Saw this mentioned what about Pitor PawlickI. Would come in on a 9 most likely. No GPS next year and might be tempted back to the UK
-
Not a chance. Signed in Sweden today, Poland is about to be announced and Denmark already done.
-
Kurtz is a number 1 I would say. He came 4th in u21 and he had a broken rib and a leaking lung in the first one. He would have come 1 or 2 if not for that. Holder will ride in the UK and I imagine at Poole. Still a bargain on 7.16.
-
Its a fair statement. If the points limit does remain 42. From what has been said we now know 5 riders for definite with the 3 aussies, Shanes and Woryna. Be interesting to see what you add to that. Kurtz and Big Holder is a no brainer. Jack is good but is getting way ahead of himself and is a bit big headed but his brother might calm him down. I think both Holder's will want to be together and also Chris looks like he is struggling for a Extraliga place. Torun have dropped him from the sound's of things. And Lejonen don't seem to want to give him a spot. Those 5 give you 13.34 points left to play with. I think these four are our British asset. Ellis =5.56 Wright=6.69 Perks= 4.00 Newman= 4.86 I doubt it will be Perks You could have Wright and Kacper G. Would be very solid and would score points everywhere. Just hoping that Kacper/J.Holder could step up to number 3. Kacper should be able to, is a number 5 in Nice League 1. Unless Ellis is brought back with Hans. Think Hans could still fill the 3rd Heat Leader role. Is a good captain and leader and knows British Speedway. But he is getting up there in age. Unless anyone else can think of someone who could be up to 7.78. I do find it a bit crazy that Vaculik hasnt got a Sweden spot yet. 1.Kurtz=8.08 2. Holder= 5.82 3. 4. 5.Holder=7.16 6.Woryna=4.65 7. Shanes=2.95

Well dont believe it. But thats what they offered. He was offering that simply because one of the big sponsors was going to help .
-
Thats fair enough. But eventually you will kill speedway. Who would want a British GP if there was only 3 riders who werent poles. Just eventually kill of the sport. So I dont think thats a good idea. Your league is 10 times better than anyone elses!
-
Yet, he offered the biggest contract in the history of British speedway to Magic J halfway through the season. From what i heard in the region of 8K a meeting. Yet Sparta Wroclaw wanted about million if he got injured.
-
Very good post. But it all starts with our league's going on for too long. Why the hell are we racing now in the UK its Wet and Cold and races just get postponed all the time. If we finish say but the 10th of October then had the AGM we would be fine. But no we have to wait around for months. There is only about 10 spaces left in Sweden and about 7 in Poland left to fill. We dont even know what leagues we will have yet.
-
Sundstrom would come in on 7 I think and he would be a great signing for Rye House and in the UK in general.
-
They haven't changed the system. They still have 6 and 7 as u21 year old's and 2 main body riders as Poles. So 3 foreign riders. All they have done is that they all have a number 8 now. So the first reserve/Squad man. Who has to be u23. Surely they are helping more young riders develop.
-
Clubs have had extra riders. I still think its a good idea for the future of this league. Will make it easier for riders to step up into the extraliga and make it cheaper in the long term. You may not like it but I think its a good idea for the future of the league. Back to the transfers. Where is Chris Holder going to end up?
-
Kurtz is cheaper than having people like Jepsen Jensen at 8. They have plenty of opportunities in the lower leagues and some step up too soon..
-
Not really means they can sign young riders like Kurtz, Holder, Fricke. There is 3 teams done right away. This is a massive step up for polish speedway. Its a cheaper future now and a sensible idea. Polish speedway had higher attendances than ever before this year. This will make the league cheaper and hence can invest in new stadiums and such.
-
Very true. But the amount of money he was getting offered. But he will be loved in Rybnik for ever if he stays. But he always wanted to sign for Poole and he knew Cov was a stepping stone to Poole.
-
Polish Speedway is run a million times better. They look to the future. Such as the new U23 rule for there Number 8 rider. They also have to have covers and special drainage for there tracks by 2020. Apart from Torun(roof) and Wroclaw(already have it) Just much better thinking going forward than the UK will ever have. It's all down to money though and they have lots and we have little.
-
This is really good.
-
Think I would have that team. But not convinced that J.Holder would get in the team. I still could see Vaculik coming over, there is a good chance of the big stars that he will.
-
Problem with that is Kim is a Lakeside asset and will most likely go back. And I imagine Kyle would pick Ipswich if they come up. Less travel.
