Don't think he has any desire to ride for worky, it would benefit all if a transfer fee could be agreed, instead of arsing around with loan fees and sever all ties so to speak

Quite agree, he took his Cardiff and world cup final performances rather badly, and the added pressure of being captain of team gb,certainly seems to need a calming influence around him even just to curb his frustrations and channel some positive energy when things aren't going well -

He'll have to double up, if rumours I hear are right it's gonna cost 60 grand to compete in the GPs, but as you say who can pay that sort of money in the championship in the present climate? -

The Workington publics sporting clubs are on their knees the rugby club can't sink any lower, the football club is light years away from league status, and comets are heading the same way,it doesn't seem to matter to the fickle supporters about entertainment,it's about winning titles, and comets have never really looked like doing so the last 3 or 4 years, hence the decline, cook has carried the team for the majority of the year, without any real consistent support, far too many blank weekends at the height of summer, the Roynon/serjeant fiasco, management not listening when the team needed a change of riding order, shuttleworth doing a runner,a team manager set in his ways, and yes I am a regular these are the concerns of some I've spoken to who don't go anymore,it's really sad how things have got to this, the last few weeks in a virtually empty stadium compared to how things once were, also the ridiculous rules and regulations that seem to appear willy nilly which benefit some but not others -

precisely what I mean,at least if he doubled up here, he knows he'll make money to fund the GPS,anything else would be financial suicide -

But where?Poland has a production line of riders better or as good as he is,the Swedish league is on its arse like ours,so basing himself in England seems the only sensible thing to do -

Why no cook? He'll have to double up again to cover his grand prix expenses,he'll get no more money anywhere else in the championship than worky -
How is Syd these days?always did a smashing bit of haddock

He should be sacked immediately seems he deliberately went thru the tapes 3 times,no interest in going off 15 metres, gestured to the crowd and threw his race jacket at the owner,he's barely scoring anyway, so we may as well finish the season with six riders -

That's the problem they can't get shot, and he knows it,he can do what he wants, and after tonight probably the final nail in the coffin of Workington speedway seems everyones just given up,the management seemingly a long time ago -

Bit rich that, with the team panthers sent to worky, firstly it was Scott nicholls guesting then it was palm toft, then it wasn't,then Boxall, then it wasn't and ended up with roynon, lawler and rr,that takes some beating
