  1. He was a really good rider Shane, Kenny Mckinna, Robert Nagy, Les Collins, and Mr Glasgow Steve Lawson. It was great days for the NL and Glasgow not that i saw nearly as much as i would of liked.
  2. Last season Lambert raised his level brilliantly and at home dropped very few points he will do well to maintain that away he can still improve. After the changes the side did click and they had a great run and for me Simon Lambert's points at home often gets forgotten as he was not expected to score much.Lambert/Puk in heats 13/15 were decent so that combination will be a huge loss but my main worry would be Proctor improving on his 6.67 average.Other sides have Swindon Musielak 6.52. Ellis 6.42. Wolves Morris 6.60. Belle Vue S.Worrall 6.32. Poole Kurtz 7.05 Holder 7.39 do those riders have more scope to improve.??
  3. He had a few clubs from 2005 until 2012 , i remember him at Scunny mainly Byron Becker South Africa born in Johannesburg it could be him.
  4. His son Steve, i remember Shane he was a very good NL rider.
  5. List along with Gilmore are the two after Lidsey that have been noted as the best two young riders coming through in Australia. You also have Kew, Browne, Bowes progessing nicely and i thought Mcguinness might of had a bit of interest shown in him also.Keleher is a different proposition alot older than List but in European terms no more experienced.I believe List has alot of ability and i would be giving him the whole season and see him as a longterm project.Scunny there top four i believe is very good and also the reserves should be able to mix it with the likes of Ruddick,Chessell,Phillips, Clegg ( ect) injuries allowing?? Scunny will do ok.
  6. You could be right Bagpuss, but looking at all the sides assembled in my opinion this side looks the weakest. If Puk had/ or does?? comeback fitter/ better then yes i could share your optimism because Puk on song would make Lynn have a formidable top two.The pressure is really on Lambert everyweek to produce any blip and most weeks certainly away you will come away with nothing.Proctor(high average), Kerr( bad injuries) Andersen are the three big question marks for me but you do make a good point this league is nothing to be scared of.
  7. Yes of course Ralph, the reserves scurry was a great way of seeing a rider develope he was then thrown in against the big boys.
  8. Season tickets years ago were decent value, when there were plenty of home fixtures.
  9. Great that Doris, used to work at Whitworth rd cemetery and Teo's final resting place was always kept nice.
  10. Colin Gooddy he was old school hard as nails also Tommy Roper he took no nonsense.
  11. Clark Facey, Dave Grimley, Mac Woolford, Dave Patten, Bobo Valentine, Billy Wall. Martin Hitch, Melvin Soffe, Kevin Pope, Richard Evans, Martin Satchel, Brian Butterfield, Mathew Cross an endless crop of second halfers who give the supporters pleasure over the years.
  12. Dai Evans did he come from Shropshire the outskirts of Wales.?
  13. I dont know how many season tickets Kings Lynn sell? but how could you entice someone to buy one if you dont know the team.
  14. Briggo ( the greatest) Kilby, M.Ashby, Holloway, Hitch, Adams, Crump snr, Broadbank, White, Teodororwicz, McConnell, Autrey, Mastrup, Keen.
  15. I thought at the end of the 2018 season everybody could of got there heads together and tried to move the sport forward. It was desperate times and any input surely would of helped Buster in the long run.I dont know many sports who dont take into consideration of the paying customer but speedway still seems to be doing it.Look fair play to Buster for bailing the clubs out but he needs to start listening and bringing speedway to the attention of a new generation not just relying on the diehards of the sport.
  16. What did Torun have in October 15,000?? Acef.
  17. He has not made much happen in two years plus has he.!!!
  18. His job is to be the front of British speedway and so far has done a pretty poor job.
  19. I actually think Chapman who is supposingly supposed to be the frontman of British speedway says absolute nothing .It is not a good sign does this bloke say anything??? does he not realise people want to hear what he says.?
  20. That restaurant/stand at Oxford was probably the best place i have ever watched speedway along with the brilliant Plough Lane ( that place was special). From 1984/88 i probably only missed about five meetings Hagonshocker( forum member a great mate did the same.Along the way we saw the special Nielsen dominate and the likes of Cox,Sorensen Dugard develop that Friday night was a special one always remember Oxford had a brilliant souvenir shop.
  21. 1968/83 loved Swindon on a Saturday night when every visiting side had a true in/out no 1.
  22. It used to hurt but we all used to laugh about it, sometimes when it was dusty we would go home looking like Michael Jackson great days though.
