  1. Ford running a tight ship is a good thing ,he has assembled a decent side within a budget he should be applauded.
  2. The track i visited in the 1980s which hosted WTC rounds (ect) ( Lee took Penhall from the back in one round) was far superior to today's track.
  3. I would not hold to much bearing on the Aussie form, apart from Fricke who should win it the rest can all beat each other on any given day.For most of the Aussies it is a working break, they will do there best and the racing is good for there conditioning and race fitness but it is is not really life or death then they are all ready to rumble again in Europe.
  4. The raw product of speedway is still good and i love watching the young uns improve. Last year i had more enjoyment seeing young Tom Brennan mix it for the Robins in two meeting's in the PL than the rest of the year.It is not all doom and gloom i just hope the sport can hang on in there in this difficult financial climate.
  5. Spot on and James is an exciting rider a rider who can improve what i like about him is that he gives everything.Very interesting some of the reserves this year very youthful Zach/ James Swindon. Becker/ Morris Wolves Lidsey/ Berge Belle Vue against say the older hands Barker/ Bjerre Peterborough there clashes will be very important.
  6. As much as i moan about Speedway i could never envisage not having it as part of my life.April approaching and i am again looking forward to the new season starting again. My take on it now is it gets me out and if i can see a few decent races i am happy. This year i am looking forward to seeing Doyley ride everyweek and am really looking forward to seeing Lidsey ride when he visits with Belle Vue.Also fingers crossed for all the young Brits in the Championship and will be rooting for Kemp, Rowe, Brennan ( ect).
  7. What i have noticed with Fricke is he now is a real racer exciting to watch and can pass for fun.I always thought he was technically gifted a bit of a gater and maybe a bit to placid not anough devil there but these last two years he has come on nicely loads more to come i believe.
  8. Fricke stepping up to the plate again, Lidsey had a terrrific meeting to finish third could Max flourish again this year i hope so.
  9. No if Becker struggles he will be gone, Iidsey for me is a level above we shall see.
  10. No because you have not piped up on the forum for a long while that was great news.My advice to you is respond to people you feel comfortable with and it won't be me so move on.
  11. He will do well to achieve either of them, 9 plus at Edinburgh zilch chance to do that he would have to average 10.50 at home .
  12. Don't read them then watch Jeremy Kyle instead are you adult really???? this post makes you look a proper tool take a deep, breath eh!!!
  13. I actually thought when he come over here, he would do the Championship first. But he has progressed so well and the top league is so watered down now if if I predicted Jaimon will average 5.50 plus.
  14. Great start by Fricke, Lidsey i have followed since his under 15s days along with Gilmore he is a great signing the NSS should suit him down to the ground.
  15. Thorssell what do you expect Steve this year? he is a rider i really like and can put half a point on his average.I also would love him to get a testimonial for the Wolves in time riders like him are rare in British speedway these days.Becker/ Morris also look an interesting partnership at reserve i think they could surprise anyway good luck to Wolves.
  16. Likewise from me Steve enjoy the season,Masters is a rider you would know more about than me but he has come along way.I remember when he got bombed out at Somerset i think Monberg replaced him??? since then he was really good at Edinburgh .And then has gone on to do a great job for the Wolves it will be interesting to see how his career pans out.
  17. The interesting point about these three riders are they are all the same age and are in the same era.Kurtz come on the scene and blew us away at first, and i still love watching him ride.He has had a blip since then and needs to add more consistency to his racing.Holder last year came back from his Poole year and was terrific in the uk and on the continent.Fricke on the the other hand came over in 2013 and year on year he has improved come from riding a technical track Edinburgh to riding the terrific NSS stadium a real learning experience for him.
  18. I will happily have a pint on it with you that Fricke will be in a GP series before Kurtz.Holder like yourself i rate he will push on just like Fricke.
  19. The 2019 line up have maybe three riders who can improve there averages.? Cook, BWD, Wright the rest i cant see improving. Also away from home i cant see loads of race winners coming, look the side is a decent side which the Peterborough fans deserve and i wish them luck for the season.
  20. I judge riders over a period that is how i make a judgement.
  21. Does that really make a difference, he is still below Fricke at the moment.I can certainly see a case for Jack overtaking him but no way Kurtz he has to reinvent himself
  22. But last year he really did step it up the only worry i have with Jack will be Poole being his home track. At Somerset you could race there and there are different lines to find where Poole lets be honest has been a poor track for a while now only time will tell.
  23. Kurtz has ability we all know that but he has to really step it up to get above Fricke. You can actually say he might of even regressed in the last year or so Holder last year also stepped up to the plate.I believe Fricke/Holder are number 1s in this league now Kurtz showed last year he clearly is not.
  24. I would put Fricke quite away ahead of Kurtz/ Masters, Holder is class as well but still behind Max.Fricke,Holder,Drabik,Lambert,Smektala can all bridge the gap and gate crash the series in time.
  25. He is so Leigh Adams ( esc) style wise has a terrific teqnique and has a great temperament.I must admit i always thought he was a bit of a gater but these past two years he has been great to watch great from the back at the NSS.
